I don't usually write reviews, but Pawlish deserves one. Finding a groomer you trust is hard, and we've had nothing but good experiences here. Everyone has always been welcoming and professional, and our dog is treated really well. We've seen Moses a few times and have always been happy with the results. The cuts are exactly what we ask for and our dog comes home looking adorable. The salon itself is clean, organized, and doesn't have that overwhelming grooming shop smell that some places do. You can tell the staff really care about the dogs. We've been very happy here and plan to keep coming back. read more

I had a very disappointing experience here and will not be bringing my dog back. This was my dog's second visit, and the haircut was cut extremely short, uneven, and not done with care. One area was cut so short that it started bleeding, and my dog's left front leg/arm has been hurting since the appointment. For the amount they charge to groom a small Yorkie, I expected much better service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the cut was uneven, my dog was uncomfortable afterward, and the overall experience was very upsetting. I would not recommend this place based on what happened. read more

My family has been bringing dogs to Pawlish for years. My mother brought our Havanese here for over a decade, and I've been bringing my mini Bernedoodle, Beau, here for the last six months. This review is not about the groomers. The groomers are the reason people stay. Heather has done an excellent job with Beau and helped correct issues left behind by a previous groomer. Tammy was also wonderful. The talent in this business has never been the problem. The owner is. Recently, I called to cancel all of Beau's future appointments. Goldie answered the phone and asked why. I politely told her I declined to give a reason at that time. End of conversation. A few hours later, I received a voicemail from Heather apologizing and explaining that she had been told I cancelled because she would be out for weeks due to surgery. The problem? I never said that. Not once. I never gave a reason for cancelling. So now a groomer I respect was pulled into a situation that had absolutely nothing to do with her. That was the moment I realized everything I had been feeling about this business for months wasn't in my head. The issue has never been the dogs. The issue has never been the groomers. The issue has been the culture created by the owner. The atmosphere often feels less like a neighborhood grooming salon and more like an assembly line with bows attached to it. The groomers do the difficult work, build relationships with clients, earn trust, and care for the animals. Meanwhile, the person who seems to contribute the least to those relationships is the one taking credit for the business. My mother met Goldie several times over the years. My mother is one of the kindest people I know and almost never speaks negatively about anyone. Even she came away from those interactions saying she couldn't stand her. That should tell you something. What finally pushed me to leave wasn't a bad grooming experience. Quite the opposite. Beau looks great. Heather did a fantastic job. The reason Beau was successful there was Heather. The reason we left was Goldie. Dogs are family. Groomers are professionals who deserve respect. If ownership spent half as much energy valuing the people who actually make the business successful as they do managing appearances, this would be a very different review. Heather is the reason Beau stayed. Goldie is the reason we left. UPDATE: After posting my review, the owner responded. She states there was a "misunderstanding" regarding the reason I cancelled Beau's appointments. That is certainly a more charitable description than I would use, but readers can decide for themselves. What has not changed is this: When I cancelled my appointments, I specifically declined to provide a reason. Later, I received a voicemail from Heather regarding a reason for cancellation that I never gave. That is what led to the entire situation. The owner also mentions that I called back upset. She's correct. I was upset. I do not deny that. What I find interesting is that her response spends far more time discussing my reaction than addressing the conduct that caused it. I also noticed that she praises Heather and the groomers in her response. On that point, we finally agree. Heather is talented. Heather is professional. Heather is the reason Beau looked fantastic. Heather is the reason we continued bringing Beau to Pawlish. My review was never about the groomers. It was about ownership. I have moved Beau to a new groomer and wish Heather nothing but success in her career. She deserves every bit of the praise she receives. As for the rest, I stand by my experience as a customer. My dog experiences anxiety, so finding a calming place that prioritizes his comfort and safety has been a huge relief. My dogs have been bathed here for years, when it was Melissa's Grooming. I called today to say I'd be a few minutes late for tomorrow's appointment. I asked for Wendy and was told she's no longer there. I asked if John, my dog's bather was there. I was told no. I asked the person who answered the phone why I wasn't notified that the person who takes care of my dogs doesn't work there anymore and was told they didn't need to tell me because my dog was just getting bathed and not groomed. I love this place. For years I had been going to get my dogs nails trimmed and I was very pleased with their work but today I had Tammy (who is an Angel from heaven) groom my new rescue Lulu. She did the most amazing job and the best part is Lulu was happy and not stressed after her groom. That's how I know she was treated properly and with care. We have a one year old Cavapoo. His hair is not super kinky and a lot like a human texture. He was terrified to go to the last groomer and we thought that was strange behavior. We tried Pawlish. The groomer came out and sat with me and my dog in the front office. She took the time to pet and love on him before taking him in the back. He was able to play with other dogs while he waited to be groomed and in between each step. He definitely seemed like he had fun and his haircut was perfect. Was having a hard time with finding a place to bring our golden retriever to be washed and groomed without butchering his hair or completely shaving him. So, we reached out to people on a FB retriever page and read good things about Pawlish Grooming and decided to give them a call, ask our questions and then bring him in. They were so nice on the phone, and even nicer in person. They also treated our boy with gentleness and grace because he was definitely excitable and a bit wild coming in. Anyway, dropped him off for a few hours and when we came back, we almost didn't recognize him. He looked, felt, and smelled AMAZING! Didn't shed nearly as much anymore and the mink oil they added kept his coat looking great! We're definitely going to be bringing him here again. LOVED our experience. So a little background. I've only taken to my doggos to Petco/Petsmart to get groomed. This was my first time going to an independent grooming salon. I recently moved to this side of town and found that Pawlish grooming was not too far from me + they had amazing reviews. Things that caught my eye were that the dogs are not kenneled and that they are hand dried. I felt this was important because this would be my puppy's first legit grooming outside of just being brushed. He's a maltipoo so I know his hair requires a lot of maintenance & patience. I called yesterday morning as they opened & spoke to Wendy. She was so kind to call me back with an available time that afternoon. When I arrived Wendy pleasantly greeted me, my son, & my fur baby (Teddy). She noticed my son loved seeing the dogs and allowed us to go to the back. I saw the dogs roaming free in a fenced area, while some were groomed. It gave me so much comfort knowing that Teddy wouldn't be kenneled for hours. I spoke with the groomer, Bre, who assessed Teddy's fur. She notified me of his matted areas, explained how short his fur needed to be + all services that were part of the experience, such as nail trim, ear cleanse, & anal gland expressions. I also appreciated that she spoke to me about price ahead of time. Love that expectations were set & there was open communication. Bre also took the time to talk to me about what brushes/combs were best for Teddy due to his fur & breed. I left with my son who thought I was giving our Teddy away and he cried a battle out the door. They took it really well trying to calm him down along with me. "Don't worry he's just going to doggy school and we will be back to pick him up". As a tired mama, you can't understand how much that meant to me. Fast forward to picking up Teddy. They texted me he was ready to be picked up. Teddy ran up to me & my son when I went to the back. He looked SO GOOD. No longer a matted mop, I could see his eyes & see how much happier he looked. Bre showed me all the hair stuck in his ears & we just caught it in time before he could develop an ear infection. She explained everything that she did & what happened due to the knots he had. Honestly, I'm so used to someone just handing me my fur baby with the bill & that's it. I loved loved loved the attention of detail & care this place gave to my fur baby. I called to make an appointment for cat and specified that I was not looking for a lions cut just a trim on his long hair and a bath which I've had 0 issues getting done in the last 3 years from multiple groomers. They tell me that's fine and to show photos of what exactly I'm looking for once at the appointment. We show up and they tell us that the only cut they will do is a lions cut or no cut at all. I of course was frustrated because on the phone I very clearly stated I was not looking for that and would've gone elsewhere had they told me over the phone they only do lions cuts. They said it must've been the receptionist who told me it was ok to come in and I told them I know I spoke to a groomer first before I was transferred to the receptionist to schedule the appointment. The groomer who was supposed to do the cut proceeds to tell me it's dangerous to my cat to trim him down which was news to me as I've had no issues with several groomers of all kinds of experience in the past. I ask if they know of anywhere else I can go to get my cat groomed as I'm new to Vegas and they tell me it's possible another groomer may do the cut and if not they'll reach out with recommendations. I never heard back from them about either. I drove 30mins for the appointment only to be turned away once there. I would not recommend them for cats. read more

I just started taking my mini Golden Doodle Teddy to Pawlish Dog Grooming. They are fabulous!! Wendy, the manager, is very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming, both on the phone and when entering the salon, which is a very open and positive environment for the dogs. You can see the groomers working, and the dogs are socializing in gated areas, not kennels. Elizabeth did a great job with Teddy, who is just a year old, and can get distracted with all the activity. But she is patient, loving, and gentle with him. He looked darling when she was finished with him. I will be leaving my previous groomer, and taking my Lhasa Apso Oliver there as soon as he needs grooming. I highly recommend!! read more
