I have pulled up there 15 minutes to close before and gotten shooed away by an employee with locked doors. How is that acceptable? That has happened on multiple occasions. This store has also been closed for the past two weeks for some reason. I will never return, which is unfortunate since I live right across the street.

Upon entering, it was super spacious and had several huge advertisements from brands... even a huge Moscow Mule cup and a huge purple Kings chair by non other than Crown Royal lol. I got my bottle (pineapple vodka, easy to find) and headed to the register to purchase. At the register I noticed that they had an event listing for the store, events such as free alcohol, can you say win!!! The two guys that were working were really nice and even laughed when I joked about the black guy being named Bic (which wasn't his name but what I thought I heard) it reminded me of Kevin Harts movie where he chose the name Bic Mitchum. Nonetheless, this will be my go to store from now on and I will be lurking so that I can make it to some of those free events lol.

Don't refer to customers as Uber Eats drivers unless you want to lose more buisness. Shake hands with customers when they attempt to introduce themselves. Don't be passive aggressive. The store is great, the selections are great and your employees are great, however you probably make a terrible employer for them. You're not the light in the room that's for sure.

FSG is sandwiched between One Good Tern Wild Bird store and Simply Fish restaurant in an odd layout of a strip mall off Quaker and Braddock in Alexandria. They have a vast selection of wines, ports, cheeses, caviar, and breads. What keeps us going back, and a lot of our friends talk about this, too, is that there is not a hint of pretention there. The owners are so very helpful, patient and kind. The prices are also comparable to bigger stores and chains. And, of course, they do generous case discounts. We normally buy cases of the Le Petit Duc La Porte (glad I'm typing it because I can't pronounce it) and we get a better price at Fern Street Gourmet than what they're selling it for at Whole Foods. Off-street parking is almost always available here. I know they do tastings, too, but have never been to one. If you're looking for a nice pairing for a special dinner or holiday meal but don't want to feel looked down upon like in some other wine joints, check out Fern Street. Clare, from Tallula wine bar, works here part-time, too, and really knows her stuff.

The service is fantastic, super friendly and helpful, and I love the backstory of the founders (look it up on their website!) Anytime I have an excuse to be in Arlington, this is always one of my go-to spots.

They have a good selection of refrigerated 4 or 6 packs, unrefrigerated single and some ingredients and gear you'd need to brew your own beer. Online pickup 0/10!! I started coming here when the George Mason location closed, I have to find a…read morenew grocery store. -I check in on the app for pickup. -There's no call box to alert an associate so you're just waiting. No phone reception because you're in the basement of the garage and/or no one answers when you call. -When you arrive there is nowhere to park because customers shopping in store take the convenient pickup spots. -Every time I have to bang on the door and hope someone answers or go inside to find someone way in the front to alert them that I'm here (defeats the whole purpose). I'm always patient with the employees because this is an issue management needs to address ASAP and I know it's a headache for them too having to peek out the door to see if you're here, crazy. Someone literally needs to have a valet style post in the garage to communicate to employees who has arrived. At this point I need to get paid too because I'm having to help other customers figure out what to do as well...the whole process is chaotic for everyone.
