If you're expecting rolling vineyards and a sommelier swirling a glass while lecturing on tannins,…read morethink again. Vintner's in Yorktown is not that kind of winery. Thank goodness. Plenty of those wineries exist. This storefront is all about fun, fruit-forward wines that encourage you to not take life so seriously. One sip, and you'll get why some folks call it "Capri Sun for adults". But instead of poking a straw through a pouch, you get to drink from a wine glass like the grown-up you pretend to be. The new owners have kept the heart and soul of the place alive, creating a relaxed, welcoming, and unpretentious vibe. It's not a destination winery where you spend all day. It's the kind of place you visit to sample, find your favorites, and keep coming back to restock. And you will want to restock. Pro tip: Make a reservation online before you go. And maybe don't bring enough charcuterie to cater a Renaissance fair feast, unless you're ready for some friendly teasing. Either way, you're in for a fantastic time and some delicious, boldly fruity wine.

They are offering wine tastings on the weekends and usually at specified times per the website but the location was empty so they let us walk in. The wines are fruit forward but not syrupy. I prefer wine a bit drier but can see these being favorites at festivals or for those who don't love traditional wine. The wine tasting was $15 and we tried 8.

You can grab a sandwich (lots of great options) and their house dressing alone is worth the stop. Seriously delicious. But the real fun is the cheese counter. You can build your own cheese board, browse all their incredible cheeses and charcuterie options, and then... here's the best part... Take everything downstairs to the cellar, order a glass (or bottle) of wine, and just enjoy. No rush. No fuss. Just good food, good wine, and a great atmosphere. It's one of those spots that feels like an experience, not just a meal. Fun, relaxed, and so, so yum. If you're in Colonial Williamsburg, don't skip this one. Grab cheese, grab wine, and settle in -- you'll be glad you did.

The first level is the market, filled with an abundance of craft beers, drinks, cheeses, breads, sandwiches, deli items, ingredients, and more. The lower level is the tasting room, and there's also outdoor seating available, although it can feel a bit tight. We didn't get a chance to try anything since it was close to closing time, but I can definitely see this place getting super busy on the weekends.

This photo is from my sandwich in 2020--which was delightful. I was so disappointed in my sandwich in 2024 I didn't even take a picture.

It is a huge venue, ample snacks area, kiosk ticket purchasing and roomy restrooms. There is online ticket purchasing and seat selection. One time though I misunderstood the seats I chose and embarrassingly thought someone was in my seats. Anyway, is the actual theatres that are epic. The seats almost fully recline, with an attached swivel table and cup holders. There is no one's head blocking the view in front of you. The screen is a good size to enjoy the film. I guess they have HD screenings I haven't checked out. If you are on a date you can move the arm rest to get cozy, or if the film is a giant yawn you can fall asleep and not bother anyone! One time I had to sit closer to the screen than I prefer, but even that seat was fine for enjoying the flick. If you still like going out to movies, taking a stroll after around the fountain or hitting up one of quite a few nearby eateries, you can make quite an event of it! Or you can just pig out on a large popcorn and enjoy the film before heading home. Some theatres can't complete with home viewing these days, so if you do venture out to the movies, make it worthwhile with this movie watching experience.

As always, I would purchase tickets via Cinemark's website which is quick and easy. With each check-in, you can use the QR code from email or via Cinemark's website. For some showings, they have point offers based on showtime dates, mostly during opening weekends. And for quite a few, they only allow 24 hours until the point deadline was over. Thanks to such, I was able to save enough points to get 6 months of Cinemark Movie Club membership for free. Definitely looking forward to more discounts for the new year. Again, 2025 in the books. From Nosferatu to Zootopia 2, I can say we enjoyed ourselves here. 2026 here we come :)
