As a philly cheese steak enthusiast, I have to say this one was amazingly good! Very accomodating to my mom and me, and our allergies were specifically taken note of Service was amazing, and our servers and seater was extremely polite and made sure everything was safe The whole place had a homey, beachy feel that I love very much Would come again

Hanging in the Williamsburg area for 4 of July and wanted to eat on the water so headed to Yorktown. Found free parking, hopped on the trolly and got off at River Walk at was prime lunch time on the 250th bday of USA. The entire area is a buzz. This place was right there, we walked in and it was pretty crowded but the bar was empty. 30 min outside, 20 min inside, 0 min at bar ... worked for us, could see a little water. Lots of beers on tap (as others said they are pricey for a draft), also have a full bar. Seafood heavy menu, but also has burgers, sammies and pizza. I got a an oyster po boy w/ fries and my Mom got fried shrimp po boy with fries. Bread was fresh, they were nicely dressed and had good flavor. My oysters were huge and delicately fried. Service was friendly. Tourist prices for sure. Enjoy!

We tried the pizza and bbq chicken wrap for the first time. Both we very good. I really, really enjoyed the Margherita pizza! The dough was solid -- light, but still held together. The tomatoes were the right amount of sweet that went well with the mozzarella cheese and basil. The size is more than enough for one person. I easily could have shared with my friend. Service was friendly and accommodating-- especially during this busy day.

Many thanks to bartender Kiefer for making our first visit a spectacular success! Friday lunch after a nearby military ceremony. They were MORE THAN patient and gracious in accommodating our large party that kept changing number and arrival time. Pita with the dip was perfectly soft, and we enjoyed the Godfather pizza as well. Special thanks to bartender Kiefer!

Nice spot right on the river in York town. There aren't too many options in the area for a sit down dinner but this place has it covered. It was pretty busy even on a Monday night however we made reservations for outdoor seating ahead of time. It's a nice view but the patio is mostly covered by plastic I suppose to do the wind, staff was friendly and the food was all pretty decent,

Had lunch here 1st time. Staff was pleasant and service was fast despite being a crowed Sunday. There was about a 30 minute wait for seating (1st available and I was seated inside). I had a club sandwich with fries and the firecracker shrimp. Both were fresh, generous portions and tested good. One gripe is the price of a 12 oz. Draft. In my case I had two summer shandies $12 each before tax. Like the place otherwise and the view of the water if you can see it is nice. Not sure when I'll be back.

The service here was amazing. Xy was so sweet in taking care of us and the food came out in a timely manner. Loving the raw oysters here! It tastes sweet and so fresh. The fish tacos with mahi mahi were also good. I really liked the avocado crema.

The only reason I give it a 3/5 was due to this reason: i got there at a decent time when there was no rush, put my name down -- hostess took down my name & # etc, (didn't bother repeating back my # when asked I her to just to double check, requested a table outside, she told me it was a 45 minute wait and that ill get a text etc, and I said ok Fast fwd: 45 minutes passed no text was received let alone they were NOT busy...okie w/e well bf called to check and what do you know? They had my # down wrong... Was my first time here so judging by the restaurant there were more seating outside as that was the point since it was by the water. The bar was huge. I think there were tables inside but not much. Could be wrong. As for the food: -Shrimp tacos were good -The York crap dip was too oceany for me. -view was amazing & weather was amazing

Just had Ahi Tuna Nachos and a beer, but both were good. The nachos were a good sized portion that was shareable if you are also getting mains. Service was fine - I sat at the bar.

The place was right next to the water and you have the option to have indoor or outdoor seating. We opted for outdoor seating which was a small mistake. The view was nice and there were fans in the outdoor seating. There were quite a few seats so it's not guaranteed that you'll get a nice view of the water. There were a lot of fruit flies that we had to fight off because of the outdoor seating and the uneven brick ground made the table wobbly. Our table was also stained which made the whole experience off putting. The place was packed and service was decent for it. We went ahead and got a calamari appetizer, burger, and blackened salmon. Calamari 2/10 It took 40 minutes for this to come out and because of that, the waitress had her manager remove it (it was nice because we didn't ask and she did it!) But, it was very saucy and small. The calamari was the size of my thumb, over cooked and dry, and doused in some sweet sauce that made the breading soggy. Some parts of it were insanely salty and tasted fishy in a bad way. The price for it is $19.99 and not worth it. Burger 5/10 My partner liked the burger and it came with fries. I personally did not like the smokey flavor but it was stacked with toppings. It was pricy for how it was though. $19.99 Blackened salmon 6/10 It comes with a side of seasonal veggies which were Brussels sprouts. The plating was really bad with the sides almost falling off of the plate. The mashed potatoes that came with it were standard and the Brussel sprouts were almost black and soggy. They seemed overcooked but also like they were cooked with too many which led to sogginess. The salmon itself was good- moist and a decent size. For the price, $27.99, it was not worth it. Overall, it's a standard new American restaurant that's overpriced due to the view. The staff is dress very casually for the price with short shorts but they were friendly. I would give it a 2 stars but because the calamari was taken off our bill without us needing to ask, I give it 3.

Waterstreet Grille was a nice place for a work lunch. They were able to sit all of us outside under their tented patio and the service was great. Our waters were never too low. I got the ahi tuna tacos with fries. The fries were nice and crisp, which went well with the malt vinegar they had. The tacos had a wasabi sauce on them that had a good kick to them. It was a refreshing meal on such a hot day.

03/24/2025 Wife I am received vouchers from Marriott vacation club and this is one of the restaurant we could eat at, if we hadn't received them we probably wouldn't have came here so it's a good thing they work with Marriott to get customers with vouchers to come to there restaurants. We actually went to another restaurant with our vouchers a different night. Wife and I came here for the 1/2 price burger night, we both had the bacon burger with crab cake since it was 1/2 off was like buy 1 get 1. The burgers were good but we had the crab cakes put on the side, the crab meat was mostly claw meat. They weren't very good but the burgers were. The place is on the water has a nice view of the river I think in the summer they have outside seating. I would give it another try they also have another restaurant next door that excepts the voucher also.

The servers and staff are observant and focused on small details that really set Heirloom apart. I especially love the part of the dining room filled with lush hanging plants. We visit several times a year and are always impressed by the quality. We always order the She Crab soup and a Wedge Salad as appetizers to share. They are both so good, I'd probably request them as my last meal! The She Crab soup is absolute perfection, creamy and full of lump crab. I will not order She Crab soup anywhere else after trying theirs. The wedge has pickled onions, candied bacon, blue cheese and some kind of marinated or pickled tomato. Paired all together to make the perfect bite. We have tried a lot of the menu, it does rotate around seasonally, but there are some items that are consistent. The burger was absolutely decadent but not overwhelming. I usually order the "secret", not so secret Shrimp dinner that's not on the menu anymore. You get 6 of their amazing fried shrimp, a magical dipping sauce (cant' describe it!), and 2 sides. (see what's their seasonal sides!) Heirloom will remain one of our favorite places in the 757 to celebrate special occasions!

Tailored Smoke Cigar Lounge has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Newport News! I've been…read moretwice now, and both experiences have been amazing. The first time I visited, I came because a friend recommended it. I used to work in a cigar lounge, so I was curious to check out the atmosphere for myself. The cigar side was packed, so we started on the non-smoking side, and honestly, it was still a great experience. The drinks were delicious, the music was on point, the atmosphere was upscale and welcoming, and the customer service was top-tier. Once we made our way over to the cigar side, I asked for recommendations. The staff took the time to guide me to one they thought I'd enjoy, and they were absolutely right! I loved it so much that when I came back, I already knew exactly which cigar and drinks I wanted. On my second visit, I also ordered food, and it was delicious. There's a $10 cover charge for non-members, which I paid the first time because I wanted to see what the lounge was all about. After such a great experience, I decided to become a member on my second visit because I knew I'd definitely be back. If you're looking for an upscale lounge with great drinks, good food, excellent customer service, and an amazing vibe, Tailored Smoke Cigar Lounge is the place to be. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning!

Tailored Smoke Cigar Lounge, 605 Pilot House Drive, Newport News, VA 23606…read more When I am traveling on business or pleasure, I always make the effort to support local brick and mortar cigar lounges and shops due to the onslaught of Government regulations that make it difficult for these lounges and shops to stay in business. I have visited cigar lounges and shops across the U.S., Asia, and Europe. I saw some good ones and some bad ones. I am in the mindset that you must experience bad ones so you can recognize the good ones. On a business trip to Hampton, VA, I visited Tailored Smoke Cigar Lounge. Without a doubt, Tailored Smoke (https://tailoredsmoke.com/) is the WORST "cigar lounge" I have ever visited. I am loathed to call this a cigar lounge. The bad experience starts before you enter. It is trying to be a private lounge so you must pay a fee to make a reservation to get in. Once you are there, you are patted by like a common criminal. I do mean patted down. This off-duty cop seemed to take pleasure in slapping your private areas. Once in the door, you will find that you must pay another fee for a cover charge on top of the online fee for the reservation. However, you can use the online fee against the cover charge or your bar tab. Biggest issue is that they may not be able to find your reservation. Additionally, when the reservation was found they were confused whether it was for the smoking or non-smoking side (really???? Is this a cigar lounge or not?). We had to wait and got shuffled around for 30 minutes until they could find us a place to sit. We were shoved into a corner where people trampled over us as they navigated around high-top tables. My friend made the mistake of lighting up a cigarette. Instead of politely telling us cigarette smoking was not allowed, a woman in brown velvet-like jump suit got right up my face pointing her finger at me yelling to put the cigarette out. She was yelling so loud and so animated that she was spitting in my face. The waitress had no idea what spirits were available. We would be told one thing only to have waitress come back and tell up "ohhh we do not have that." Did I mention that in addition to the entry fees, you are required to purchase two cigars. Now, do not let the website fool you. The cupboards were bare. There were approximately five (5) labels to pick from. I only recognized a couple. I am talking about real throat burners. Overall, this is NOT a cigar lounge. I am not sure what to call it. After about an hour of the rude, unprofessional staff, the worst ambience (those pictures on the website must be from some other Tailored Smoke location), and poor service I had enough. I was ready to go after getting slapped in the junk on the pat down outside, however, my friend had arranged this, so I decided to give it a chance. Huge mistake. That is an hour in my life I will not get back. Cigar smokers....DO NOT GO TO Tailored Smoke Cigar Lounge, 605 Pilot House Drive, Newport News, VA 23606. It is disappointing that this place is allowed to call itself a cigar lounge.

Reservations made well in advance is a must unless you're going at less popular times. Unfortunately parking is always a challenge because of reserved parking so plan ahead and come early if I have a reservation. Lots of steps leading up into the building but there is a ramp for handicap access. Kids were in town so we were visiting all our favorite places. Blue Atlas tapas style variety is always a hit with us. The only disappointment this time was the Elote dumplings. They were basically just corn gnocchi. Not a terrible flavor, but wouldn't bother ordering again. We started with some pretty fun cocktails, and a highlighted wine which I wish I could remember the name of...i think it started with N...It was a light bodied wine with mild floral notes, and a Prosecco feel without the bubbly that went perfect with all the plates. For cocktails, we got tea ceremony, la Siesta, Nicolada. I loved la Siesta and Tea ceremony for their uniqueness and smooth delivery. My son has a sweet tooth for cocktails, which the Nicolada fit but probably a little too sweet for me. For food we got the ever reliable pork belly Bao buns -a bit on the pricey side when you have to order extra to serve a table of four at $6 each, Next the aforementioned elote dumplings, -tacos de trucha which was good but not my favorite, -hanger steak, -Malaysian fried chicken - delicious and a good deal, -shish Barak; unique, and very tasty, -Vietnamese prawn toast, which was delicious , - -steamed mussels- good and enjoyed by most, and the -tortilla Española; solid but underwhelming compared to everything else. Also ordered the Brie special with toast that I loved but some of us got part of the rind which there was a lot of so wasn't as enjoyable for them but the flavors were there. Would've liked a few more heavy protein options but this did not affect our enjoyment of the meal. The hanger steak exceeded my expectations. I'm not always up for steak, but this was done perfectly and well accompanied with a marinated summer squash, cherry tomatoes, and pickled peppers. For dessert we got the ice cream sandwich and the chocolate banoffee budino. They were all out of the Black Forest meringue, so unfortunately, we could not try that. The ice cream sandwiches were a hearty serving and enjoyed by everyone at the table, but I thought the banoffee budino was the best. Unique and very tasty. Would have ordered one to have by myself if I wasn't so full lol.
