Okay bottom line up front…read more Total Friends a Family recommendation...hell, I'd even recommend this to people I don't care for because it's so freaking good.... everyone needs to eat here. 100% legent and I am so adding this to my Yelp Favorites. My son and I were hungry after spending all morning fishing and were looking for a place to grab lunch. Any place claiming to be the Big Boss when it comes to burritos peaks my interest. The restaurant itself was clean, well maintained, the wait staff were friendly and attentive without being over bearing. The menu is extensive and I had a hard time narrowing down my options. But, as I'm a fan of Birria and especially birria tacos the Birria Burrito peaked my interest so I ordered the Birria Burrito...and could not be happier. Without an any reservations, I can say that my burrito was delicious...nothing negative I can say. I thought I was hungry, but I could not finish it. So, Bonus burrito appetizer for me tonight. Seriously...you need to put this into you favorite navigation app right now and give this restaurant a try.

The inside filled up quickly as it has limited seating but it was welcoming and you can tell it's a nice neighborhood gem ! We ordered a little bit of everything - the guacamole we normally prefer it to be spicy... we did have to doc it up by adding some salt and it didn't have the kick we were looking for but it was still good . The empanadas bread was doughy but so good one of the sauces was sweet and the other had a mayo base . The tacos were very good lots of cheese ! We'll definitely be back!

Perfectly grilled bread, the Mac n cheese was creamy and absolutely covered in cheese - this is not a lightweight option but well worth sharing with a friend! My husband had the Mac n Cheese balls; crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside, and the dipping sauce had a little kick to it. The service was quick and the food delicious, highly recommend them and can't wait to try one of their other sammies!

I was super excited about the menu, I had trouble deciding on what to get. When we got to the brewery, there was no line out front. My boyfriend and I ordered the Buffalo Wing grilled cheese, The Mac Daddy, and the fried mac and cheese balls. They didn't have the bacon mac and cheese balls, which was a bummer. I liked that they gave us a number stand to put on our tables and they brought the food to us. That's where the good stops. The fried mac and cheese balls were a HUGE let down. The breading had a weird texture to it, the mac and cheese inside was pretty dry, and definitely needed some more cheese. It didn't have much flavor to it at all. It was disappointing. The sandwiches were very average too. I ate the buffalo wing sandwich. The chicken wasn't bad, but it was just doused with some hot sauce. I love a grilled cheese with a massive amount of cheese, but with the hot sauce everything became a gloopy, greasy mess. It was hard to eat and everything kept sliding out. I never thought I would say this about a grilled cheese, but they probably could have done with not trying to stuff it with as much cheese and grease. I had to end up eating most of it with a fork. The loaded cheese fries with pulled pork did look really good! I wouldn't go out of my way to come to this place. If it was at another brewery the same time I was, I would definitely try the fries next time, but skip everything else. It's honestly not worth the calories.

I stopped by during their pop up at Farmhouse Brewery and, once again, they did not disappoint. One thing you need to know: their burritos are massive. We're talking "the size of your head" big, so come hungry or be ready for some epic leftovers. The menu is small and focused (usually around four burrito choices), but every single one is packed with quality ingredients and flavor. The Coop spends most days serving on base, but keep an eye out for their local pop-ups. They're always worth chasing down. This time around, I ordered the Pepper Jack Chicken Burrito which was grilled chicken breast, maple bacon, melty pepper jack cheese, and their signature Coop Sauce, all bundled up in a warm tortilla. Every bite was the perfect balance of hearty, savory, spicy, and just a hint sweet from the bacon. Their Coop sauce is one of a kind. Tangy, and delicious. I'm sure adding an egg would take it to the next level (that's an option on all burritos). My friends had the Breakfast Burrito! This one comes with fluffy scrambled eggs, sharp cheddar cheese, juicy sausage, more of that craveable maple bacon, herby potatoes, and (of course) the signature Coop Sauce. They raved about every bite. I appreciate that The Coop keeps things simple with their streamlined menu and focus on top-notch burritos. Whenever I see them around town, I make it a point to stop ... even if there's a line, it moves fast and is absolutely worth the wait. Whether you're looking for a new lunch favorite or just crave seriously great street food, The Coop is a true gem on the Virginia Beach food truck scene. Can't wait to catch them at their next pop-up!

I have been here several times to pick up food, but this was my first time actually going inside to order. The line was long around lunchtime, but it moved quickly. It is fast casual style, so you walk down the line choosing what you want and then pay at the register. I honestly had no idea that was how it worked before, so I was prepared to wait a while. I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient everything was. I was in and out much faster than expected. While putting my order together, the man helping me handed me a sample rib over the counter. I am a very socially awkward person and do not handle unexpected moments very gracefully, so I probably reacted a little awkwardly. That part was on me. The rib was GOOD though. He was very kind about my reaction and even handed me a napkin. The whole staff was friendly, asking how my week was going and checking in to make sure everyone was happy. Even though it was busy, they clearly care about customer service. The food was great. The garlic and green onion sausage had so much flavor, and the bananamisu was the perfect sweet finish. I originally went in hoping to order the BBQ oxtail, but they were sold out within two hours of opening, which honestly says a lot about how good they must be. I had also gone the day before around 7 PM and they had already closed because they were sold out for the day. Just a heads up that they do close early if they run out of food. Overall, great food, friendly staff, and quick service. I will definitely be back and hopefully I will finally catch the oxtail next time.

We ordered a little bit of everything: the pinchos de cerdo, alcapurrias, pastelillos de carne y de pollo, and chicharrones de pollo. The pinchos were flavorful and cooked just right, and the alcapurrias had that crispy outside with a soft, seasoned filling that really hit the spot. The pastelillos were fresh and tasty too -- perfect if you're craving something savory and handheld. The chicharrones de pollo were good, but they came with arroz con bacon, which wasn't really our favorite. We probably would've preferred rice and beans or rice with gandules for more of that traditional flavor. It was still decent, just not our top choice. We also tried the fries with cheese and bacon -- they were okay, but again, not our favorite thing on the menu. What really stood out though was the service. The guy at the window was very polite, attentive, and super respectful. That kind of customer service makes a difference and definitely leaves a good impression. Overall, solid spot if you're craving Puerto Rican bites. We'd definitely recommend stopping by and trying it for yourself!

I like how in the dining area, they put covers over the overhead lights so it isn't super bright. AND THE DRINKS ARE SOOOOOOO GOOD. First time we went, we overheard the waitress say she didn't want to serve us, she was exhausted. Rightfully so, she was the only server. We held nothing against the server, we were peeved with the owner. The woman with the light hair. Took what felt like forever to even get drinks. They were also out of a lot of food... which isn't necessarily a bad thing... but the items I wanted were no longer available so I just ordered the fried green tomatoes. They were fine, they just needed more sauce and a bit more seasoning in the breading! The poor server was just miserable while we were there, and the owner was just kinda walking around telling everyone what needed to be done, not quite helping, more so micro managing. We ended up tipping the poor girl $35. I hope she got to keep it all. Fast forward to this week. We tried it out again. It was a bit warm. We had been Instructed that they had family visiting and if it got too loud to let her know. The noise wasn't the issue at all. When we sat down we saw that it was 76° inside! We wanted to eat though, so we tried to tough it out. There was only one waiter and then another girl helping him serve the food. Again, and I don't know how it happened again, the boy had said to the lady he didn't want to serve us, there was too much going on. She had told him he was going to serve us, strike 1. We ordered all of our food at once to make the poor kid's life a bit easier. We didn't get drinks until about 20 minutes after sitting down. (The pineapple drink bangs btw). And we were literally sitting there DRIPPING sweat. Even the owner had beads of sweat alllll over her face. We ended up asking for our order to go. And my husband ordered his sandwich without Cole slaw. We said that literally a COUPLE of minutes after we ordered. The food magically appeared, and they had US package it all up. And my husband couldn't even tell the owner that he asked for no Cole slaw, but she kept talking over him. And she ended up being the "polite" kind of rude after we asked for our food to go. We weren't angry, we were just hot. But looking back on the bigger picture, it definitely angry. Especially for the young people they have serving. The poor server was so stressed so again, I do not blame the servers. We tipped that bot $25 and again, I hope he gets it ALL. I 100% put the blame on the owners. This place should be a food truck... not a restaurant. The bad reviews didn't make sense to me.... Until they did.
