My daughter has been to this office for a simple procedure to control her nose bleed. She has been through this procedure at least once every other year and every time the result was satisfactory. This year I took her to Advanced ENT Specialists to get the nose cautery procedure done, before she leaves Virginia to start her new job in Boston. Dr. Parameswaran, performed the nose cautery, but 2 days after the procedure she started having nose bleed again and again and again. I called the office and they asked me to bring her back again, but she was not in town anymore. The procedure did not help her nose bleed at all and I get bill from the doctor office :( I am not sending my daughter to this office any more. read more

Thank you Dr. Para! My 88 year old dad has been troubled by some chronic issues to include cough, excess phlegm, changes in his voice etc. He's been to many specialists and have not gotten relief from anything tried. Today on the first visit, Dr. Para scoped my dad and found some inflamation around his voicebox. He thinks it may all be caused by reflux. He prescribed some meds and thinks he should have some relief soon. Dr. Para was thorough with a great bedside manner and took the time needed to give my Dad answers to all his questions. I was seen by PA and audiologist for numerous tests including MRI. The doctor never appeared...not even to review MRI with me! Results of tests never explained. No paperwork provided. And no diagnosis! I wasted my time, lost pay and copays. Please find another ENT dr! read more

Lady in the front office is very rude and she hangs up the phone on me while clarifying few questions related to insurance. My Insurance company says they are accepting new patients but the lady in the front office called Gina hangs up the phone on me saying that we are not accepting any more new patients with that insurance. read more

Place turns away patients in need because they don't take cash or out of pocket. If they really cared about patients, it wouldn't matter if you had insurance or not. read more

I have been seen by Dr. Para multiple times now. I am not sure what king kind of experience other have had that were negative but my experiences to date have been excellent. I was late to my first appointment because google gave bad directions, I called the office and the kind receptionist gave me directions and stayed on the phone for a few minutes to make sure I found the office. Dr. Para is one of those great doctors and took time to listen to my concerns and have a discussion instead of rushing me out after 15 minutes. He formulated a plan of action and advised me every step of the way. This is a first class organization and I would recommenced them to anyone! read more

100% positive experience with Dr. Para and his team. Dr. Para recently repaired my deviated septum and some related issues, and the results were amazing. For the first time in my life, I can breathe well through my nose. I no longer snore at night and I have much more energy each day. I used to get terrible headaches and haven't had a single headache since the surgery--probably because my sinus pressure has improved so much. Growing up, I always thought I had severe allergies and congestion, but in fact it was my deviated septum. Since the surgery I have not suffered from congestion at all. During all my office visits and on the morning of the surgery, Dr. Para was very professional and kind. I was nervous about the prospect of surgery but Dr. Para was calm and very knowledgeable, which helped me relax and trust his recommendation that I was a good candidate for surgery. Dr. Para's staff were wonderful as well. Jade gave me advice for talking with my health insurance company so I could maximize my benefits. Jade also helped me figure out which surgery facility would accept my insurance. When it was all said and done, I simply had to pay two small co-pays for my office visit to Dr. Para and for the surgery, and two small co-pays for pain medication and antibiotics. I was so relieved that the surgery was affordable for me and I'm grateful for Jade's help with that. Gina is another team member who helped with my appointment scheduling. Gina is like a ray of sunshine--so positive and friendly, which helped me feel relaxed and even excited about the idea of surgery. Dr. Para performed septoplasty and turbinate reduction for me in May, 2017. Consult appointments and post operative appointments were all great - on time, questions answered, etc. When I was in the process of scheduling the surgery, I was told that they prefer at least 3 weeks advance to give the insurance company enough time to authorize ahead of time - helps to avoid surprises later. Surgery and recovery was exactly as described - again, no surprises. Dr. Para has also consulted with another surgeon, on my behalf, for some jaw and facial surgery I'm considering, and was helpful in that way. I've already recommend Dr. Para and this practice to others. I think they're great! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Para. I was dealing with a sinus infection. Dr. Para took the time to explain the anatomy and the physiology that's causing the sinus issue. The antibiotics prescribed gave me an immediate relief. He was very detailed in explaining the insurance and benefits, and chose the efficient but cost effective option to methodically root cause the issue. Also, Gina, the lady in the front desk, is very nice and sweet to talk to. I really had a great experience with everyone I met in this practice. Vertigo is the worst! My PCP recommended Dr. Para's office and I'm glad he did. Not only was the staff great, Dr. Para and his PA Nicole were very knowledgeable. From start to finish, my visits were pleasant, which is not something you would expect at a medical practice when you're feeling awful. After leaving an ENTs office for not taking our insurance, we switched to this office. The office manager confirmed they were in network and I verified with my insurance that they were in network and thus we proceeded to schedule surgery. The doctor wanted to perform the procedure at some distant Maryland facility. Our inability to find this facility even using mapquest should have been my first RED flag. My husband proceeded with his procedure... 2 months later we receive medical bills stating that the facility was out of network and we were liable for the whole bill... The facility , which the doctors has ownership in ( serious ethical issues there) was not accredited with my insurance, although the ENT office told us we were in network and covered and continued telling us this story until 4 months of back and forth when they finally admitted they were mistaken and their shiny new facility was NOT accredited and in network. Their oversight is costing us thousands of dollars and they refuse to take responsibility for giving us false information... And to add insult to injury, my husband had horrible migraines for weeks following surgery with zero improvement with his sinuses following surgery. read more

Not sure how these people are staying in business. I called to make initial appointment and was on hold over nine minutes. I was literally reaching for the end call button when they picked up. Got scheduled. Traffic I route 7 was bad and they told me they were in the building next to the ER. Well, there is a building attached in one side and a separate building in the other. I have to hunt which is the correct one. Turns out they are in the attached one. I am, by my independent cell phone network time 8 minutes late when I arrive. They say I am 12 minutes late and the PA has already left for the day. I ask why they have such a small window and receptionist says they only allot 15 minutes for an appointment so I would only have 3 minutes left anyway. But the doctor (no just a PA) left before I got here and was pre planning to leave in in only 15 minutes? How did she know how long it would take? Listen to the reviews and find another provider. There are too many very close by to bother with these people. I drove to another Dr in 5 minutes and got an appointment right away. Out of curiosity I asked what was there late window and they said 15 minutes but they try more if they can. read more
