The Siegal Center has been home to VCU's basketball home games, graduations, and a number of other…read moreevents. So there's plenty of good memories at VCU's most recognized building. Door staff and security are easy and friendly, the facilities are always clean and kept up nicely. The event staff ranges from friendly to unsuitable but I think they're usually hired by an agency, so we'll take the good with the bad. The Siegel Ctr doesn't leave much for one to desire. Parking sometimes isn't all that fun but it always works out. Good venue for local sports and other events.

The arena sits on the campus of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. The road name of Ukrops Way is newer GPS did not work, but Google Maps did. There is a decent size parking lot to one side of the arena. Around the perimeter is street parking. Not sure where all would park if they filled the place up. Kaplan can seat 8,300 and expand to 11,300 when necessary. It was built in 1971 at a cost of 5.3 million and that's over 32 million in today's dollars. The building was formerly known as William & Mary Hall. However the arena proper was known as Kaplan. In 2016 the entire building was renamed the Kaplan Arena to honor former alumni Jane and Jim Kaplan. I attended a Women's basketball game tonight. The men's team also plays here and I assume volleyball but am not sure of any other sport matches. The building has many more uses than just for the university. It has been used for all types of community events from dog shows to car shows. From religious crusades by Billy Graham to presidential stumps. The largest concert was The Police in 1982 with over 13,000 in attendance. It also hosted the 9th G7 Summit in 1983. Some really cool history for sure. The lower level is where you will find the athletic department, coaching offices, a seminar room, medical suite and a gymnastics workout. What a fine building Kaplan Arena is. The modern amenities of newer arenas may be missing, but it continues to serve both the university and community well.

Kaplan has some great concerts and sporting events. You have to dig a bit on the college website…read moreto find out when they are, advertising is pretty poor. But there've been great acts here over the years: Nirvana, Fleetwood Mac, Grateful Dead, Bruce, Dave Matthews, and more have been here. Wish they could get some more high rate acts here but mostly what the kids are listening too today, feathers logo missing.

Also I'm not a soccer fan so the chances of my future attendance at a Kickers game are slim to none. I do know some larger-scale events are held here, though. The stadium could definitely use a touch of paint. It's clearly been around for a while. But the field was nice and made for good bocce ball throwing. The stands were fine too. I didn't use the restrooms or buy any concessions. I'd return in the future if a festival or event sounds fun.

Tons of food options and vendors which is great. The stadium overall is run down, but it's a part of the Richmond experience to me, so no big deal there. Cons: The speaker system is TERRIBLE and needs replacing... it's very loud and muffled, almost like I'm watching an episode of Charlie Brown. This was the most annoying part of the game. Tickets a $12 a piece, for anyone over the age of 3. This seems like a bit much to me - GA tickets at the Squirrels stadium are $7 a piece, I feel like it should be more comparable there. Also, I think kids under 10 shouldn't be $12 either, maybe more like $8 or just less. I can't imagine paying more per ticket than what we paid for this game. Overall it was a good game although Kickers lost 1-0. I would come back, even though I'm not a diehard soccer fan!

Not automated. Just one person handing hundreds of kids that is required to ask for more verification than the government needs for a passport. 4. The place needs a make over. The AHU's in the back of the building is absolutely filthy pushing poor air into the sport complex. I can look past a lot of these issues, but to add injury to insult, the refs are FIXED to ensure the home team wins, but any means necessary. YOU CAN DO BETTER! SHAME!

The parking is plentiful & there are many hotels & restaurants nearby. The concession stand wasn't open, so we had to go out for snacks and food, which was not an issue. There are snack and drink machines available & they accept credit cards for your convenience. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I didn't have any issues at all. I would definitely come back.

I have never seen this before and I guess it works. This seems like a good idea if rain comes, folk do not stand in line in the rain for their treats. Nevertheless, there is plenty seating on both sides. The field looks maintained, but I think it's time for a facelift. The track part of the field looks severely worn and needs a bit of TLC. However, I attended this field for a high school football game and the field served its purpose. We were made aware of the limited parking so we pulled up about 90 minutes before kickoff and had no problems parking in the lot. Overall, this is a legit stadium for high schoolers to play. I cannot imagine a college game held here, I think it's too small. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Visited this facility for a basketball camp this passed weekend. It served its purpose. I don't…read morehave many complaints. The staff was friendly. Masks are required. There is no concession stand inside the facility, but I heard there is one by the baseball fields. I don't know for sure though. We ended up leaving to get food. The outside of the facility could use some sprucing up. The paint is fading and chipping off. The biggest issue is the huge potholes as you drive in from the main Street. They are huge in some areas. If you're not paying attention, you could easily mess up your tires/rims. So, watch out! The parking is ok. A lot of the baseball families were parking on the grass. We didn't experience an issue with parking at all.

No one out front, actually had to call out "Hello???" to get people to come talk to me. Asked for someone to open the team store so I could buy a hat and got told to come back at 1230. It was a Thursday, I found the time to get here in the middle of the day, no. Open the store. Asked them to call whomever ran it and they did, got same answer, he'd be in at 1230. Was completely made to feel like an inconvenence. 4 people there, not sure all of them were employees, 3 dressed in team apparel and a 4th dress like they were going out afterwards, but not at all like an employee. Staff has 2 jobs there, sell tickets and sell merch, NO clue why they needed FOUR people (that I saw) to not do either. I'll pass on the George Washington hat, and if you're still reading go down the road to Richmond and support the Squirrels, at least they hire staff that don't come off as put out at having to not do their jobs.

I bought myself a season ticket this year directly behind home plate in the front row for $70. It was money well-spent. The seating is pretty standard. General admission seats are on bleachers, and reserved seats have plastic molded chair-style seats with backs. The concessions are just OK and a bit too expensive. They microwaved my too-chewy pretzel while I waited. They sell a small selection of nice merchandise at pretty reasonable prices at the concession stand. I bought a sharp-looking fitted cap for $20. The parking situation isn't bad unless there's a lacrosse game at the same time. I love coming to Plumeri Park. Where else can you watch baseball that counts in late February?

It underwent a massive renovation in late 2013, including brand new flooring, comfortable seats, and (at the time) the largest screens of any college basketball arena in the country. It seats just over 7,200 fans, including a roaring student section, and season tickets are incredibly affordable and available to anyone. The facility is always clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. There are a number of food vendors in addition to typical concessions, such as Sweet Frog frozen yogurt, fresh kettle corn, coffee, healthy options, and starting this season: beer and wine. The arena is wheelchair accessible and has elevators, ramps, and accessible seating sections.

It's an impressive building from the outside and blends in fairly well with the campus. The football stadium next door has better aesthetics. Entrance and egress were easy. The concourse is well lit with plenty of vending options. However when the lines get long it is hard to get through the crowds. Bathrooms were easy to find and I never had to wait to use one. My seats were in the upper rows and it was very dark up there. The renovations are nice and the large screens in the corners are great. It got plenty loud many times during the game which is a testament to having a smaller coliseum. Overall, a very good venue.
