I had to come back to virgos after my first experience here for my car repairs & I'm happy to say that the experience was just as pleasant as my first. I got three estimates and Virgo's was in the middle. However, they're open and honest and if it's a difference 1-200 dollars I would happily go to someone I could trust with my car. My bumper looks better than when I first bought the car. I had an issue starting my car and they jumped and explained to me my battery was corroded. They cleaned my battery off, gave me instructions on how to get it to stay on and I'm writing this review as I'm on my way to get a new battery. I really enjoy coming to this shop, everyone is very friendly and honest as to what issues/what's going on with your car. I went to Virgo after a minor car accident. Because I was paying out of pocket and I told the staff my desires to save as much money as possible, they made a great effort to do as best of a job as possible while keeping the costs low. I did go to another place to check for a cheaper estimate and I brought it to Virgo. Virgo staff explained to me why the other estimate was "cheaper." It turned out they left out a lot of repairs my car needed that the other place did not catch! The job was estimated to take eight days but they only took three and I was pleasantly surprised by the total cost. It ended up being cheaper than the other place's estimate. Not helpful at all. I called in to ask a question and the lady who answered the phone cut me off and said I had to bring the car in. I tried to explain that I just needed to ask a question but she again said I had to bring the car in. Maybe they were very busy when I called or maybe she was just having a bad day. My buddy backed into my Subaru and tore up the bumper. Got a quote from these guys, very friendly, bumper had to be replaced and repainted. They said a day and a half. Brought it in, I had to be at a job site the next day and they got the work done early for me. They even washed the car and vacuumed the inside. Truly, Virgo Top & Body is as good as it gets. I own a Ford Mustang convertible. When the driver's side door began to sag, I asked a co-worker who had been in this neighborhood for a while (I am a NYC transplant). My co-workler, who owns several very nice and expensive cars, recommended me to Virgo. Being a value driven person, I went to get an estimate on a couple of problem point. For a sagging door and broken parking brake, one could easily expect to pay around 500 bucks or more. These guys (Dan) fixed both for around $350, but wait! that's just the beginning. They are ultra-friendly, extrordinarily professional, went above and beyond my expectation in every way possible. Couple of days later, my window got stuck, and I went back. I was expecting to pay at least 100 bucks, but they fixed it FOR FREE!!! Ever wish you had family in the auto body business? well, now you do. I will be taking my other cars there. Dan and the crew there has just snagged themselves a lifelong loyal customer. For me, it's as if God had mercy on me for all the times that other repair shops had ripped me off, overcharged me, and showed me no respect while doing it. I was in an accident with my 2010 Honda Accord and took it to VIrgo, as it was the closest auto-body to my house. Someone had T-boned me and I had side passenger damage, a deployed airbag, and interior damage to the roof upholstery. It had 5,000 worth of damage and I was afraid that it would never look 'the same' as when I bought it (a month before the accident). Well when i picked it up I was more than surprised. It looked GREAT! Inside and out all looked as they did pre-accident, if not better. They dealt with my insurance and it was so easy. I would give six or seven stars if I could! I cannot imagine a better place, or better experience, for auto body work than Virgo Auto Body. The front of my car was badly crushed in a front-end collision. The crew at this place (I remember Terry, his co-worker and a cashier) was as courteous, and friendly, and helpful as I could hope for. They coordinated with my rental-car agency to have a rental brought quickly to the shop, and then to return it at the end of Virgo's work. The front of my car was fully restored and freshly painted, to look at least as good as new. In addition, Virgo was totally reasonable and fair in its charges. The charge to replace a side-view mirror was roughly one-half of the estimate given to me by my local car dealership. In all respects, Virgo was efficient, expert and friendly. I brought in my car with a few rock chips in hood. It was explained to me that it would be better if I got a new hood ordered by them and repainted. They quoted me several hundred dollars for just the hood to be replaced without paint. When I asked if I could order the hood online from Junk yard I was told very rudely" We need to make money on the deal so we don't except ordered parts from other locations". "I can't stay open from just charging labor". This is after they gave me a estimate from well over $1000 with labor being 70% of the bill. Now I understand this is a business but this place isn't looking out for your best interest of the customers. Not to mention how they deal with customers is not very nice. read more

I needed a new side view mirror after demolishing it while pulling out of my garage. I will blame my 3 year old daughter who distracted me by insisting I put on Mariah Carey's Butterfly for her immediately. Anyway, I figured since I needed a new mirror anyway, it was finally time to get some scrapes and scratches fixed on my front and rear passenger side of my car that I inherited after scraping my car on the side of a bridge (I swear I'm a good driver). I took my car to three different places to get an estimate. One place was so outrageous I ripped up the estimate the second I drove away. Another place was somewhat reasonable, but more than I really wanted to spend. Then I stumbled upon Virgo. I dropped in unannounced to get an estimate and dealt with Terry. He gave me the price on the mirror which was comparable to the other places, but suggested I save my money and instead of getting the scratches and scrapes repaired, for $100 he would try to buff them as best he could and he would make it look a lot better. This was actually a perfect suggestion for me because I just wanted the car to look better, I didn't need good as new. Well they scheduled me for the date and time I wanted, I dropped my car off in the morning and it was ready within 5 hours. I was shocked at how good the car looked. The other places told me the damage could not be buffed out and didn't even give me an option of having that done. I really appreciated Terry's honesty. The car looks great, they were fast, friendly, and saved me money! I have now found a body shop I will always use in the future and refer to people. read more
