Yesterday, 1/14/21, we called Viridian Tree Care to schedule an estimate for removal of a large cedar tree that had split and blown over during the recent heavy snow event. Arron arrived at the appointment time and was very pleasant and helpful in assessing our needs. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and was able to schedule the job for later that afternoon. He arrived with a crew of 5 assistants and they quickly began the job of chipping and removing the branches and logs. They were planning to cut the main trunk as close to the ground as possible. However, after my husband had used a power washer to loosen the dirt around the trunk, they decided to use axes to cut the roots, and pry bars to remove the 3 stumps and tap root. The crew worked diligently and continually until the job was completed. They went above and beyond our expectations and thoroughly cleaned the job site when finished. We had received several formal estimates for tree pruning from highly recommended services. I was in my driveway departing for work when Aaron Pruett walked to the house to state that his team was in the area and could prune my live oaks and red oaks. I just don't respond to such "drive-bys", but something about Aaron seemed genuine. His quote was a little under half the previous estimates. The work was done professionally that same day on 8 trees. The results are great. The clean-up was better than expected, with a neatly raked yard and no residual mess. We were so impressed with Aaron and his team. Aaron came on Thursday for an estimate. Since ours was not immediate from the storm, he would give us an appointment. On Friday he came back. They were in the area. They were just doing immediate trims and repairs since we just had a big storm with trees down, but he said he would do our trims. He did more and above from the original estimate. The clean up was tops. It was fun watching his men climbing up to the top of the oak tree trimming all the dead branches flying to the ground. Since this was not in the best months to trim oak trees, they painted all the branches to prevent oak rot. We highly recommend Viridian Tree Care. read more

These three Masked tree trimmers did a remarkable trim on the two large Oak trees without falling out of the trees once. Had it been me, I would have several times, or at the very least gotten hit by a large falling branch. So the cost of the tree trimming was worth it. (Hospital vs Tree trimmers) These trees were hanging well over the house and the street. When Viridian was done the yard and the street was clean and cuttings hauled away. It looked like they were never there until you look up at the trees. They were smiling back at me. I believe we won't have to have this done for at least two years. Excellent job at a fair expense. Aaron saw me trimming my hedges this morning so he stopped to see if he could remove that burden. My yard was in serious need of hedge trimming, tree trimming and vine removal. He provided a very reasonable quote so we made a deal. It's not often these days that you can make a deal with someone on a handshake and get the results that you expect. I was pleasantly surprised and the crew exceeded my expectations!! The 3 man crew was at my house for about 7 hours, Aaron brought them lunch. Other than lunch the crew worked non stop. I was asked what my needs were and if I could send over some photos of the tree that needed to be removed. I am usually skeptical about cold calls, but this was the second time this company had come by asking about several trees in my yard. I knew these trees needed to come down before they fell down and caused major damage, but I am a procrastinator. They were working down the street from our home. I had a few limbs broken from high winds. Being only 8 weeks from back surgery I can do nothing. A neighbor's son cut the limbs in smaller pieces. It was like magic how they were able to climb and rope the branches so nothing hit my roof or siding when those big branches came down. They were very careful and sure knew what they were doing. Aaron and his company did a wonderful job on my backyard of large oaks. He suggested to do a low branch trimming for now - remove limbs over the roof and come back later to get in to the tree tops.
