It shows he knows his work and pays attention to details. He took care not to let any falling branches affect our fencing while he trimmed our trees, too! Upping stars to 3 for not ghosting entirely, but should not have taken a negative review to get a response. I provided a detailed project specification to this vendor 7 days ago--which is an attractive company given that they are covered by the Yelp Guarantee. They are stated to have an average 10 minute response time with a 65% response rate. Seven days later, I've heard nothing. So I'm either in the 35% of their non-responses or I'm an outlier in their turnaround timeframe. I wish I had better things to say since this is an unfortunate lone wolf one star rating in a sea of five stars for this company, but "real people, real reviews" is the rule.

Communicated well and was professional. And was clear with his pricing. He was not the least expensive but was competitive in his pricing. We scheduled service for the next day. So that was a plus! We've been in our house for 10 days and I didn't want the grass to grow taller and potentially get a notice from our HOA. They arrived perfectly on time. Cut the lawn and trimmed a flowering plant that was a little too close to the patio/ house. They worked quickly and efficiently. My yard looks great! They will be coming back biweekly, and I'm looking forward to enjoying our front and backyard.

I've seen a lot of trees downed in Austin the past few weeks. I thought we'd made it through the…read moreworst of the thunderstorms and microbursts, but a tiny spat of rain took a huge branch off the hackberry tree in between my and my neighbor's yard. In a certified Sunday miracle, it barely clipped my gutter (which hung on!) and landed square in between our houses, roofs no worse for the wear. I still found myself feeling a bit uneasy with the tree so close though, so reached out on Yelp to Texas Tree Doctors to take a look. Nicholas responded immediately and was able to come out just a couple hours later. Nicholas is a wealth of knowledge and was kind to answer basically every question I had in my free consult. He offered some really practical remediation in the form of a nutrient treatment that would help get the tree healthier and more supple so it'd be less likely to break in the future. For hardly any extra he offered to haul away the big branch as well. He also ballparked a cost for removing the tree entirely - all quotes seemed really fair. Ultimately, the tree is on the other side of the property line so removal is up to my neighbor, but I appreciate how straightforward it was to get someone with Nicholas's experience to take a look. If we decide to give some love (or destruction) to the tree he'll be the first guy I call.

He gave me a quote on the spot for my oak trees and removing a different tree. He and his team did an incredible job. The oak trees are masterfully pruned and shaped. Aaron and team were extremely thorough and left my house better than they found it. Both parties discuss job scope of work in detail, Walter quotes job requiring a 50% down payment, the customer pays 50% down and schedules the date, the day before job Walter returns and argues that the agreed scope of work will be double the agreed amount (price increase based on no SOW change), customer no longer agrees (other much cheaper quotes for the same SOW so I cannot agree to this contactor price increase), Walter refuses to refund the 50% down payment saying that it is a "customer cancellation". In reality, it was extortion. Walter has still never refunded my money in full. This is pure contractor theft. Don't trust this company...
