Held a gathering at historic twenty event center recently. Short story is the owner is snotty,…read morerude, unprofessional, unorganized and extremely hard to deal with. Initial viewing of the venue was lovely. She showed us around and walked us thru other day so we put down a deposit. Then when I tried to make the second payment (prior to the day it was due) she had no recollection of who I was, the party we were having, what I paid and what I owed. Third and final time I tried to her, I couldn't get her to answer or email back to take payment. After a week, she emailed back and outlined the day again and shortened our time at the venue. Then didn't hear from her until 2 days before the party. Which she then shortened our day another hour AGAIN. Day of the party she neglected to tell me where the broom was, so I asked. That's when she gave me the rudest attitude for no reason. She loudly said we were OVER our time limit. Which was clearly incorrect bc I had proof in the outline SHE SENT ME! Then she refused to send back my deposit even after we cleaned up exactly how she asked. Trash was taken out, tables and floors were swept off. Everything was left exactly how we found it. She was standing at the door of the venue with a leaf blower with her arms crossed tapping her toe in irritation. Over the phone she said it was $500. Then ended up being more like $750. I emailed her twice to get my deposit back... no answer! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Beautiful venue too, it's a shame management has a stick shoved somewhere.

We were hanging out in the bathroom at the venue to fix my brides hair before the grand entrance. Our photographer (who just happened to be our friend of 2 decades) came in to see what we were upto and was apparently told that grand entrance starts at 6. Well we didn't want to wait an hour so we asked her to ask the DJ if he would bump it to 5:30..his reaction???I run the show! And they ended up in a heating discussion in the reception hall because of his unkind words. She comes back to us told us what he said...we all chose to let it go...my bride and I step outside and he proceeds to come out after us and tell us again "I run this show!" "Your photographer has bad attitude!" Excuse me??We paid you to DJ not for your bad attitude and not for your schedule. Nothing else was to be earlier but the entrance. It was a slap in the face..we didn't pay all that money to be lectured by this guy! We didn't care how long he had been DJing either. Outrageously horrible experience he shoulda dropped it and he didn't. Had it not been my wedding day I would have told him off! His performance was subpar we asked him to play two full songs for the entrance and he cut the first one to the beginning of it and then onto the 2nd that's not what we wanted..his ego was way too big he should retire!

From start to finish he went above and beyond to make sure our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour & reception was perfect! He was organized, attentive, professional, and experienced. We appreciated him taking time getting to know us and going through each detail of the event very thoroughly. Deric gave us good suggestions for our wedding timeline and music selections. The DJ ultimately really sets the vibe for the whole wedding, and I can say we DEFINITELY had a party! He did a great job keeping the dance floor packed the entire night! The photo booth that came in our package was a BIG hit! GREAT PROPS! They even made us a guestbook that was signed by our guests with all the picture slides that were taken in the photobooth throughout the night. We will have these memories forever! We received a TON of compliments on him the night of and the days following our wedding. He was worth every penny we paid! Because of Deric, our wedding was a dream come true! When we arrived their was a babyshower in one room and then my friend's party in the other. They did a good job of keeping the two things separate so we wouldn't disturb one another. When we walked into the room for the party, it was absolutely beautiful! They did an amazing job with the decorations, food displays, and the bar. Since they were serving liquor at the event, there was an officer to monitor. Which was great! My friend had a live band and dj perform at her party and the setup and sound was amazing in the space! It was very intimate but had enough space for all who attended. I was truly impressed because the last time I was in this party center was for an awards banquet back in high school.
