We just completed our first NAGA tournament with the guidance of Professor Phil, and she loved it. Both Aaron and Phil Are natural teachers when it comes to working with children. They push the children physically, encourage them to give their best, and they don't hand out participation awards. You earn what you get! No one near me has the foresight to offer a 3 year old class and that is their loss because Storm is ready and willing to help me. The owner is interested, invested and attentive to the training. The instructors were very patient and focused in the teaching. Everybody is not of the right mindset to work with the tiniest of kids but somehow the owner was able to find a team that shares his vision to help families that are interested in learning. Since the time he started at RRBJJ, the brotherhood has grown exponentially between the coaches and the team. There is a camaraderie within this team that is hard to describe. You don't have to have been on Team Rabadi for years to feel like you are actually part of that team. I've seen coaches and seasoned BJJ competitors welcome new students to the school without hesitation and offer additional time to those 'newbies' who are interested and wanting to learn. There is no intimidation upon entering through the school doors, just a sense that you're about to get one hell of a workout and meet some new friends. How can you not make friends when the positions you put yourself in (or are put in by others) can be fairly awkward!? I do love this school and the team it has built. No, I don't train there, but I do feel like a part of the family.

Outstanding Muay Thai gym!…read more I've been coming here for about a month now. I try to come every day for all the classes they offer. I'm obsessed with both Muay Thai and training here. The classes are intense, physically demanding (in a good way), and the instruction is top notch. There is always something exciting to learn and the coaches do a fantastic job getting the point across and making sure everyone is on the same page and up to speed. They care about your development and well-being and I never feel stupid for asking questions or speaking up if I don't understand something. I look forward to every day and every class. And the prices are pretty acceptable. They also have punch cards instead of monthly if you are busy and there is no BS contract fee!! My personal favorite is the Sunday morning class for drills. I am so happy that I was able to visit and train here again after having been away for 3 years. The…read moregym has moved into an awesome new location and is the most well thought out facility I have ever trained in. There are numerous details that make this a seriously wonderful place to train (e.g., climate control, AC, study room for kids, slushy Fridays, charging ports for cell phones next to the mats, etc.), but my favorite is the mats; these are zebra mats, on a spring subfloor, so falling is actually an enjoyable experience! Grey Tisdale's instruction for Brazillian jui jitsu is excellent; he not only explains each technique thoroughly but also its mechanics and he is truly welcoming to questions from his students. Grey has a real love for BJJ and truly cares about his students. I'm so excited to learn that Martial Sports HQ is also offering TKD, Judo, Muay Thai and others now for adults and children. They have a very strong fight team headlined by UFC fighter/sniper Tim Kennedy. His presence attracts other random semi-famous fighters so the opportunity to tell your friends you got you butt handed to you by a professional cage fighter can and will happen, if that appeals to you. But don't be intimidated by that. There is no pressure to fight, and like I said the vast majority of peeps are there to learn technique and get into shape.
