I've had readings from 290+ psychics in my life. Since I'm a mystic, my life is filled with Divine love & grace; b/c my mind is calm & quiet, it's very easy for a good psychic to read me, but a poor psychic won't see much b/c there are no dramas in my life to cause big blips on the psychic radar screen.
Please note that when I visit psychics, I'm NOT seeking help w/problems, nor w/wishes, nor seeking answers or spiritual guidance. Rather, I visit them because God/Source asks me to & b/c it's fun to connect w/supernatural readers. BTW, I'm VERY good at setting boundaries w/people like pushy salespeople & unethical psychics who might try to con/upsell me. So, when reading my reviews, it may be VERY HELPFUL to bear in mind what I wrote above, b/c your own experience w/a psychic may differ from mine; your mileage may vary! BTW, my reviews of psychics are for readings only, and never for extra services they might offer (e.g., healings, clearings, spiritual guidance).
I passed this shop (@ 218 SW Broadway) while on a walk early one recent afternoon and found it open, somewhat to my surprise, since it had always been closed during earlier attempts to visit it during posted business hours. The sole reader on duty was a young woman in her 20s, and she agreed to give me a reading, although I was a bit disappointed, b/c I had hoped to get a reading from Athena. Seconds later, well before the reading had started, her mother (Athena) a 40-something woman with dark hair, arrived at the nearby curbside in her SUV, & b/c we'd each instantly felt some sort of mutual spark of recognition or familiarity on an inner level when we first saw each other, she chose to do the reading herself.
The reading was done in the back room of the two-room shop. Athena sat behind her desk, and I sat in a chair in front of it. I asked for a palm reading and psychic aura reading; I paid the $150 fee up front, plus a $10 tip. As I always do w/readings, this was a totally cold reading: I told Athena, prior to the start, only my full birth name & date/place of birth, that I had grown up in the NY/NJ area, and that I visit Portland once a year. I told her nothing more about myself until after the reading had ended.
Athena started with the palm reading, and then moved on to the psychic energy/aura reading. From the very start of the reading, she made startlingly accurate statements on a number of aspects of my life, including the following [a (*) denotes I've been told the same thing by many psychics & mystics, while a (??) means I find something unlikely]:
- (*) that I am a very old soul, far older than anyone she'd ever met & that it was highly unusual that I should have reincarnated again, b/c I had long ago gone free of bonds to the karmic wheel of life.
- (*) that the reason that I'd reincarnated was to serve the Divine, to help all beings, particularly on the spiritual level, & that I do it w/a great amount of lightheartedness & playfulness.
- (*) that my aura/energy body is very large, bright, healthy & clear.
- (*) that my body is very healthy.
- (*) that God/Source & the angels ensure that money comes easily to me to support the work that I am asked to do in this world
- (*) that my spiritual work often involves travel to cities aross the US.
- (*) that I am strongly protected by the Divine in this life, and that I have often miraculously escaped harm or death in numerous dangerous situations
- (*) that both my mind and my entire life are very quiet, calm & peaceful, without any dramas or problems.
- (*) that I will live an extremely long and healthy life, almost totally free of bumps or problems.
- (*) that my wife & I have an open relationship, and that I have several beautiful young female friends.
- (*) that many people from around the world, including beautiful young women, seek me out, often asking or demanding to be my instant friend, and that I'm very good at keeping such people at a distance as needed.
- (*) that a great amount of Divine love and grace seems to emanate from me.
- (*) that I have strong psychic/intuitive abilities.
- that I have great expertise in a number of scientific & technical realms. (true)
- (??) that she sees me teaching large groups of people in the future.
- (??) that I'll meet a beautiful female love soulmate in the next 18 months.
Unlike many storefront psychics, Athena did not attempt any cons or upsells with me. Rather, she was honest and straightforward, and also fun to talk with. After the reading had ended, Athena and I had a great chat about supernatural & mystical stuff and I also answered several questions that she had about my life. She also asked for my contact info so that she might be able to stay in touch w/me in the future, and she offered me a big hug before I left the shop.
