I was exchange student here for a year 2022-2023. People here are amazing and I've met lots of…read morefriends here. Campus is beautiful from the outside, but mh biggest concerns are the dorms. Some buildings are super old. I lived in West Village, Townsend and Stewart Halls. In the first one I needed to live with 5 other people, who were not carying about others space. Then moved to Townsend and got problems with big cockroaches in my room. Even though I kept it clean, cockroaches appeared out of nowhere and I was super scared of them, so I needed to sleep in common room for 2 days, because Pest Control works onky Monday and Thursday at mornings and nobody else could help me. I changed my dorm to Stewart and the room is finally good. Spacious, big windows and lot sof sunlight, but I saw cockroaches again in the corridor. I don't know what's the problem here with them, but I find then super annoying and scary. Other than that, in the breaks I, as an exchange student stayed on campus during most of the breaks and the fact that they ban meal plans during the breaks is still a question. You basically need to pay additional price in order for them to work. I don't know how it's dor US students, but beside awesome people, I find this place wearing pink glasses and ignoring problems that people have.

I really wish the university of Memphis College of health sciences would allow people to graduate with a bachelors degree without having to do a required internship. They are not understanding at all of other people's situations. I understand that it's for Work experience and to get you opportunity for jobs, but not all of us are capable of leaving our full-time job to do an unpaid internship.. some of us have medical bills, car notes, and have to have insurance from the jobs that we work at. Even with the paid internships it's not enough money to support yourself, I literally was one credit away from finishing... I am not going into more debt with student loans, huge disappointment, maybe I can marry somebody rich who can support me while I do it...

With an older building that greets you in the visitor lot, the campus spans out, and is not that big, really, maybe five or six main buildings, a few dorms, and the sport fields. It's known as a pretty good school and pretty well-ranked (Tier 1) for the mid-south. It's obviously a spiritual place, so you'll want to take that into account. Word to the wise -- it's expensive -- about 25K per year.

Dining dollar refund taken away most likely due to the school trying to regain money from the unnecessarily expensive bridge over southern avenue that they built. It's all an act. It's going through the motions for their next paycheck.

This is my senior year at the school and I am a Marketing Major. I've never really gotten involved on campus, as I live about 40 minutes away; so I can't speak to campus life. But the school itself? I think is good. Most professors I have had have been great. Of course, there are exceptions, but by and large the faculty is high-quality. I believe every school experience comes down to the student anyway. You can get any kind of quality of education you want depending on how dedicated you will be. The University of Memphis is a great option for any student at any level. The business program is as good as I could have asked, and I'm glad I chose this university.

However, they offer many different graduate programs, and you only need a 2.75 your junior and senior year of your undergrad to get in, so, those of you who struggled, take heed. They also have a very large catalog of undergraduate offerings, a helpful financial aid support system, and a nice, clean campus with some educators who have obtained their Master's degrees. It's worth looking into if you're not concerned about school ranking and need some flexibility.

When I approached this school with the idea of sending International Students to their campus, they were eager and willing to work with us. Because of their commitment to excellence in education, we now have two graduating this year, two graduating in 2015, 1 student in 2016 and hoping to bring more. Were it not for LeMoyne-Owen College, we would not have students attending 4 Historical Black Colleges and Universities. I might also add, the school has built new dorms and I can see the schools administration has worked out many of the kinks that plagued them in the past. Well done LOC for thinking on an International level and changing the World in the heart of South Memphis.
