Someone from the company Gathering up appointments for landscape gave me a brochure that set up to…read more30% off and set up an appointment for an estimate for a little bit of a retaining wall around my front flower bed of my house. That appointment at 3:00 on Thursday nobody showed. I gave them the benefit of the doubt called them back made a new appointment. Somebody came was here for 2 hours taking pictures measurements and going over design and promised me I would get an email estimate within the week. That estimate never came. They called me a couple of weeks later and asked to make an appointment with a couple of their better guys I agreed. Two really nice guys came which I didn't understand why we needed to have another estimate and take more of my time for a simple project. These two guys came and they were very nice and they measured and they went over design information via their tablet they brought showing me options and promised me an email estimate within the week or two which never arrived. Since then the company has been calling trying to schedule another appointment for a third time and I refuse to give them more of my time when I haven't received an estimate. I explained to them I've given up 5 hours of my time and they've given me nothing so without an estimate this is too many red flags I don't like the way this company runs and I'm out. I got a call today and they tried to represent themselves with a different name of a company altogether when I asked him to please be honest and transparent how did he hear that I needed Landscaping because I've never advertised it online or any social media. He admitted he was also Hometown remodeling which means he tried to trick me. I asked him to give me an estimate based on the photographs the measurements and the design chosen that he is already received by three different guys. But he wants to send the guy that came the second time tomorrow to give me that estimate to have me sign a contract. I gave him the price that was verbally told to me you will see if that happens tomorrow or if they even show up and write an estimate right then and there in front of me and not promised in the email. I do not recommend this company and I highly doubt I'm going to sign a contract. UPDATE: Since this review, the company has been in touch with me to try to make things right and apologize for my experience. I have finally received an estimate matching the verbal one they originally gave, however, the style and design was slightly changed from my original choice. They did explain that my job was not big enough to make the profit they need to cover labor and expenses. For this, I bow out and will go with another business a bit more Professional.

I wish I can give a review rating of more than 5 stars for this concrete company. Ramon and his crews are truly the gold standard in the concrete business! They just completed a major concrete project for my house totaling over 2,400 sq ft of concrete and done to perfection! I got a bunch of quotes for this concrete project at my house recently and talked to a bunch of different concrete companies and personnel. I found Au's quote to be the most comprehensive and cost-effective out of the six of so quotes that I received. Also, Ramon came across as prompt, pleasant, courteous, top tier, and highly experienced in concrete work (he worked the Sixth Street Bridge project in LA for years - pouring all that concrete!). I figured that I would be in good hands with Au Standard Concrete and Ramon and selected their bid for the concrete work for my house. In hindsight, I was totally correct when all is said and done! The work proceeded without a glitch (well at least from my home owner's perspective anyway). Everything progressed smoothly as promised and finished promptly right on the day Ramon promised it would be done. Ramon and his crew showed up promptly @7am every day to first perform the demolition, excavation, base prep, and forms for the concrete pour. Then on the day that the concrete trucks were scheduled they showed up promptly at 5am to prep the site for the concrete pour then finished the concrete and performed final site cleanup, all done by 2pm in the same day. The resulting concrete was just beautiful and met and exceeded all my wishes and expectations. Ramon added important touches to my concrete project that I did not even think of nor requested/specified in my original bid, such as giving my circular gazebo concrete pad a slight slope from the center of the circle out to the outside perimeter to facilitate water draining in the rains. Ramon and his crews did exceptional work. They made this major concrete project at my house look easy with all their experience, right personnel, and the right equipment. They also had great manners and lots of respect for my house and property while working this concrete project at my house. My house was left in better shape than when they started the work. I am beyond pleased with the end results. I am also happy with the costs which was very reasonable. It's been truly a pleasure for me to work with Au Standard Concrete/Ramon, and I highly recommend Ramon and his crews for any of your concrete needs.
