Was downsizing conderably, and went with a manufactured home in the Boulders. Got a great deal on the home knowing it needed some work, one of the largest jobs was going to be complete window replacement. Because it is a manufactured home I started with Arena homes, who sent me to All Glass. No 'window' of noon to 9pm!.....and he was here on time and let me know when he was on his way. They know what they're doing, and I wasn't getting the upsell or double talk. Patrick and Tyler did an amazing install on the beautiful Milguard windows I picked out...(Bernie would give me his input during the estimate, and I did appreciate that!) I called this business on behalf of a friend who is an elderly Vietnam vet and is 100% hearing disabled. I spoke with Travis asking him a plethora of questions so I could relate the information to our friend. Travis was extremely patient, kind, informative and helpful. This was regarding the cutting of a piece of large table glass which our friend had. After relaying the info to our friend, he dropped by the place with the glass. He found the office staff to be super nice, friendly and efficient. The glass was able to be cut as it was not tempered. The point being, that everyone involved in their service is so caring, efficient, understanding and helpful. It was not a big monetary job but they treated our friend as if it were, regardless. I recently ordered a sliding screen door, I measured it wrong and got it made too big. It was totally my fault. They were kind enough to come measure my door opening for the correct size to have it cut down. I dropped off my door with the correct measurement they gave me. From the initial quote request on Yelp to the installation day, everything was very easy. Mark was responsive to my messages on Yelp. There were a few people that I spoke with regarding the initial measurements for the quote to actually scheduling a date/time for the install. Every single staff member that I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. I was given a time frame of a two hour block for measurement and install, and both times someone came almost on the dot of the start of the time frame. I was very appreciative of that. One of our sliding doors was very much "not so sliding", and it bothered us enough to make a call to this company. There's not a whole lot of glass door service locations, so I was relieved when they said they would come out. Anyway, the guy came out, had his supplies, fixed the problem, and our sliding door has been functioning normally ever since. These people are rude and irresponsible. These people are making a killing in this city with tons of cheap windows and sliding doors installed in tract homes. Are they ganged up with their very few competitors? After giving us a week of back and forth with multiple phone calls, emails, send them photos, send them measurements and address, they announced they are booked for another 3 weeks and cannot help us with stuck sliding door. I told them they could have said that in the first phone conversation. The lady on the phone hung up on me after i asked how many employees they had. She thought it was too invasive of a question. A person named Mark called back, claimed to be the owner and refused to apologize after I told him what had happened. I told him I have owned over 100 properties in LA county and have never heard of the ridiculous prices his call lady had quoted me for simple things like window screens etc. I guess he did not believe my claim of owning properties and started using A LOT OF DIRTY profanity implying that I am a liar and an idiot to make such a claim. I told him I happen to have a phd in physics and can derive the lorenz equations for special relativity for him as well if he thinks I am way down there in iq. Well that did it for the poor guy. He really did not believe that I suppose as the barage of his 4 letter words reached 300 wpm. I let his overheated operating system run like that for a few minutes until I realized he had hung up. I was laughing hard when I got another call from him going on even faster than before, but this time he crashed after 15 seconds. Moral of the story: when you make an assumption about people, you could be making an a** of yourself. I am just happy I did not tell him about my musical compositions, or transforming J. S. Bach's motets into blues or hundreds of oil paintings. I myself did not believe such behavior could possibly come from an actual business owner, but lo, he is claiming here to be the owner. read more
