They have extended opening hours which is fantastic so you don't have to take time off work to get an appointment all the time. I've always been given referrals for any family member to really good places as well. Usually they will bulk bill which heaps of places don't do anymore so if someone gets sick the day before pay day it's not a problem. They have a nurse on duty most of the time if you need. They have other more specialised services they offer such as some sports stuff, psychologists, weight management and laser hair removal. they also have a pharmacy in the same complex so you can get your prescriptions filled before you leave. Best features are the definitely the bulk billing, the extended opening hours and their after hours locum service (BEST thing ever is you have really sick kids - the doc comes to you and all the details are still kept on their same files). Usually you do need an appointment nowadays but if it is urgent and you just drop in they can usually work something out.

This is a great service....especially if you have children and need a doctor's appointment sooner…read morerather than later. If it is a more urgent appointment that you need, tell them. They will either get you in sooner or direct you to another service if needed. If you don't mind seeing a different doctor every time (which I don't unless it's an ongoing health issue) you can usually get in to see someone that day. After so many visits there, and so many doctors, I have to say that all the staff have been helpful, patient and kind. They are now my first phone call when I need medical help. There are 2 tours each Friday and well conducted. Bookings can be done online. There's no car parking on site for tour visitors and it is well serviced by the 'free' tram. When the new RAH is completed, it will be merged and connected with a spacious plaza. The building itself has 3 'pods' wrapped under the 'pine cone'. CSIRO occupies one, SAHMRI in the middle and the last one is still under construction at the time of this review. One can't help but feel the spaciousness and light filled areas wherever you are. Entry to all areas are restricted apart from the ground level foyer and auditorium. On the guided tour we gained access to level 8 which is the top level to admire the views of surrounding areas. We then walked down the spiral staircase to another level whereby a researcher explained what his team does. I can't help but noticed how well the office design is, in fact the whole space of what we can see and access on the tour, there's even an in house cafeteria. We were told there's an in house gym as well. The tour lasted one hour precisely.

I then get a phone call from dentist from DCP Adelaide asking me to attend his house to do work from my pamphlet deposited in his street! Trouble was NONE OF MY PAMPHLETS WERE LEFT IN HIS STREET! We have seen three GPs thus far and they have all been lovely but the particular GP we book in with is Lesley Blimkie as she is thorough, has a kooky and great sense of humor, excellent clinical judgement and is fantastic and patient with kids. All the qualities I was looking for in my search for a GP when we moved down south. This is why I give this practice 5 stars :) The admin staff are always pleasant and helpful and you are always greeted with a smile. Such a change from the previous practice I attended closer to the CBD. I always love service with a smile, and who doesn't really?! Plus they bulk bill for all children under 10. There is also a dietician and a practice nurse and a plethora of services offered so please refer to their website as there is too many to list. While you wait, peruse through the diverse range of up-to-date magazines while listening to the calming instrumental music playing in the background. Great children's play area with a great selection of toys and it is always clean. There is room to park your prams or wheelchairs too. Ample parking on site. In the busy months, some of the GPs at Wellbeing McLaren sometimes close their books for new patients, so if you are in search of a GP and live up this way, book in with them now so you can get in as a new patient. This is by far one of the best GP clinics I have been to because the staff are friendly and it is evident that they take pride in their practice as it always looks clean and well presented.

I arrived early for my appointment, was seen early and was back in the car heading before my actual booking time. The offices are clean and quite new, you could still smell the paint, there is a kids area in the waiting room, several doctors offices and a large waiting room. The staff are friendly and quick at getting you in if you're new, all I needed was my Medicare card and to confirm my address and phone number. Bulk billing makes this even better, once finished with the doctor I was ready to leave, nothing else had to be done.

What is with all of the money in Bowling Clubs lately! New Greens, upgraded club rooms, it seems…read morethat there is almost as much development around the traps as there is in Primary Schools! Westlakes BC is one of the clubs that has invested in upgrades to their club rooms. They share the facility with the Tennis Club, and see a healthy bar trade many nights (and days) of the week. The new digs do look very good and are a great improvement from the old club room that looked like it was circa early 1980's. There are still two large hall spaces, great for larger functions, central bar and, of course, the three large greens that are always of a very high standard. The current Green Keeper (also a mate) is pretty on the ball and I have not played on the greens (even in questionable weather) and not been impressed by their run. As with most clubs, Night Owls is one of the major income streams seeing rinks free up only occasionally, so call ahead. The club, although has many elderly members (it is a bowls club after all) it does have a larger than usual compliment of younger players, so don't be afraid to check it out is you are under 50!

Being a nonprofit organisation, the Centre receives funding from the government and often get funding relies heavily on donations and fundraising activities. Some of the services they provide include counselling, support groups, therapies, exercise, workshops and an excellent resource centre. From someone who has lost a loved one to cancer, I think the work and support they are giving to the community and cancer patients is commendable.

I only had to wait in line for a minute and upon submitting my prescription request the lady behind the counter was very polite and welcoming. While waiting for the script to be made another customer was called to collect his script and she was lovely to him too. There were a couple of chairs while waiting although I wasn't waiting long, and when I was called by the pharmacist payment was made easy with the Pay Wave. The pharmacist noticed my limited voice due to pharyngitis and sent me on my way with good wishes. Parking was the only issue and being on The Parade at Norwood is busy so one must expect to park a little further and walk.
