Dr. Andre has been practicing for over 35 yrs. She truly will give you a lesson when it comes eye health, surgery on the eyelids, do's and don's. She is a surgeon. Not just an ophthalmologist. She will basically call it what it is, if you ask a question about need vs "claims" to need. However, she is not about " short schedules" ( she is chatty) she gets a staff reminder, someone else is waiting. . My eye exam results (L) same (R) different. I received a prescription for only one eye. (they do not normally make one lense) that caused a problem, and w ability to read, and for both eyes not just 1. I again paid for another eye exam with another ophthalmologist that confirmed that my right eye prescription off by a couple of clicks. So back to eyeglasses place to have the lenses remade. My wife's eye exam was straight forward. However the bill was not just for an eye exam, whatever the claim, it was based upon time spent? It was a routine eye exam, nothing more.

This has not been communicated and today I had an emergency with my daughters eyes. All they could do for me is recommend locations that didn't take children or "close" locations that are over 2 hours away from me. This is unacceptable. I will not be returning and will tell everyone I know that I was refused service at this location. You need to let your patients know they can not depend on you for emergency care every other Friday. That should be communicated up front. And if yall knew this was a prob6please work harder on finding a cover doctor.

Told them 2 years ago I was diagnosed with floaters and eye Dr. then said nothing to worry about.. The last 6 months I have seen a few tiny black spots the size of grain of salt and asked if my eyes would be dialated so I would make arrangements for driver if necessary. Office abruptly told me to go to another DR to have checked before they could give eye exam, this needed to be checked asap and they could not see me any sooner than 6 weeks. Ok with that, however, SINCE YOUR OFFICE earliest date is 6 weeks what if I can't get in to see anyone else any earlier I will just see you (on said appointment date already set up). "No, I'm canceling that appointment" she said. ?? So floaters I was told by Eye Dr in Florida nothing to worry about is a big deal here WITHOUT even being seen, hence the reason I wanted eyes checked to see IF more needed to be addressed. He patiently put me in 3 pairs of trial contacts to find the correct ones during my visit. And in the end we went with his first choice. Contacts for an Astigmatism take a while to settle in. Sadly my left eye went from no astigmatism to bad since last year. Dr. Calvi was very patient and even though my kiddos where having a sibling throw down in the waiting room he laughed it off and put me at ease. Great doctor and staff!! We arrived at our appointment on time and were informed that our appointments all had been canceled because we did not answer our phone the day prior to our appointments in order to confirm. Their office however did not leave a message saying that the appointments had been canceled. They agreed to see two of us reluctantly. The optometrist Calvi was condescending to my wife, and very rude. The receptionist however, did what she could to try to help. That does not negate the fact that we spent time out of our day to try to get exams and had to deal with a rude optometrist that did not keep their promise We will take our business and money to his competition.
