I noticed the small shop when stopping by Happy Lemon, but have been too lazy to stop by. Luckily, they had a same-day appointment at 1:45 PM. I arrived early since my dental appointment was shorter than expected, and the optometrist was out for lunch. They said she would be back at 1:45 PM, but feel free to look around the store and try out different pairs of glasses. They have a vast variety of styles, ranging from China-made to Italian-made (expensive brands such as Coach, Gucci, Versace, and Rayban). I told them my info and they were able to look my insurance up in the system, along with all the details of my benefits. The glasses were all locked up, so you need a worker to open the case for you to try. It felt awkward compared to Visionworks because the worker was standing there watching you try on each pair. The optometrist didn't come back until past 2 PM, so I was waiting a while. However, one of the main technicians sat me down and explained all the fees and upgrade plans for each pair. He asked me to pick my favorite one, and he can tell me the exact price for that pair. He explained each process thoroughly, along with how much I'm expected to pay to get contacts prescription, retina x-ray, etc after my insurance coverage. I like the information because it made me understand the process better, but I did feel a little pressured to pick the most expensive one for insurance. The optometrist was very friendly. She spoke fluent English and Vietnamese, which is probably why most Vietnamese people go here for glasses. She gave an in-depth detail about my prescription, and how my eyesight decreased. She also recommended a new brand of daily contacts since my old color contacts were not helping with my astigmatism. After the eye exam, it was just a quick payment process since I already decided on my pair of glasses earlier. They said the wait time is around 2 weeks, which is typical. I just picked up my new pair of glasses today and I love them. It's very nice, and the lens feels high quality and durable. I did pay out-of-pocket an extra $250 for lens upgrade but it's worth the splurge for extra insurance. Overall, I like the number of glasses they offer, and it looks like they're getting more with new glass displays. The styles are much cuter than what you see at Visionworks, and Target Vision, so you'll be sure to find something you like. I would come back here next year!

I haven't been to an eye doctor in over 10yrs (I know don't judge me ) but they were able to get me in the next day. They took time with me and went over all my options and the cost. I decided to finally get contacts the doctor gave me a sample pair to try for a week. A day before my follow up she called upon closing (6pm) to see how I felt or if I wanted to try a different pair to sample. I told her I was ok with the ones I had not knowing contacts felt different. She was real and honest with me and said you'll never know unless you try another sample which duh makes sense. They opened at 8:30AM the next day for me so I wouldn't be late to work, ontop of that the guy that brought me my sample had me try a tea he was making. This is a place that goes above and beyond and I am truly grateful for them. You have to give them a try I am truly shocked and amazed by their generosity!!

Dr. Schneider was very helpful and accommodating to get a last minute appt. My husband had a very…read morepainful eye abrasion and the Rx from the ER wasn't helping relieve the pain. Dr. S provided a better Rx and even personally called the pharmacy to make sure they had it. Within 48 hours my husband had some much needed relief from his eye pain and Dr. S even went above and beyond to follow up for 3 days (including Sunday) to make sure he was good. I went here in 2009 and booked an appt for both me and my son as new patients. They are located in a strip center and my first impression walking into the place was that it looked nice. When we arrived, the receptionist/hag working at the front desk didn't even greet us with a smile or seemed glad to have new business walking in the door. In fact, she didn't even say hello - I had to introduce myself and let her know that I was a new patient there for my 4:00 appt. She just handed me two patient forms to fill out and went back to looking down at whatever she was doing (most likely reading a book). We were the only ones in the place and as luck would have it, I started to have an uncontrollable coughing attack and you would think this person would've had the common courtesy to say "Are you OK? Do you need some water? There's some water down the hallway". Hell no, she just looked up like she was annoyed and went back to looking down. I thought, "Wow - how rude." Then the doctor breezes in through the front door wearing a Hawaaiian shirt, shorts and sandals like he was just hanging out at the lake. You would think he'd wear a white lab coat or at the very least, a dress shirt to at least give the appearance of being professional. He must have been on a smoke break because once we walked back to the exam room, he reeked of cigarette smoke! It was disgusting! The first thing you notice when you go into the exam room is the old, circa 1980's antiquated equipment complete with missing paint on the wear spots where your chin would rest. While he's examining me, Ms. No Personality sticks her head in to tell him she's going to run an errand which translates to he's now doing double-duty covering the phones. He stops no less than three separate times to answer the phone that is located right behind my head while he's doing the eye exam! Then my favorite part of the exam... you know how when you get your eyes examined and they have you read the eye chart on the wall and they hand you a little instrument called a phoropter to cover one eye? I guess they don't have those at this place because he tore off a sheet of paper from his scratch pad, folded it in half, and told me to use that to cover my eye! Are you f'ing kidding me???? At that point I made up my mind that I would not be subjecting my son to this type of exam. Not only that, but while I was sitting in another room "No Personality" has returned and walks down the hallway and looks into the room where the doctor was having me look through different machines and this bitch actually made a frown face in front of my son when she looked in on us! Turns out she's the wife of the doctor. How else can you get away with such rude mannerisms? She must have jealousy or insecurity issues when it comes to female patients that are younger or more attractive than her. And she probably just hates life in general. After I said I would be taking my son back to his old eye doctor, this guy must of figured out that I was less than impressed. I took out my credit card ready to pay for services rendered and he said no payment was needed. I called my insurance company the next morning just to make sure no claim had been filed. After all was said & done, I went out to my car and just sat there in disbelief and could not believe what had just transpired. I literally wanted to go home and take a shower to wash the experience away.

Sure enough the house got COVID. I had an appointment on Tuesday and Monday (the day before) they were closed. I called in Monday not knowing they were closed and didn't leave a message because frankly I was so sick, I was just trying to be courteous hoping to get a live person, when I heard the answering machine I just hung up. Tuesday comes around and I got up to make sure I call right at 9:01am and tell them how sick we were and we'd like to reschedule our 2PM appointment. It was very clear I was sick bc I don't have my voice. The lady said she would ask how to handle that and when she got back on the phone said, sorry the policy is that you have to show up or we will charge you a late cancellation fee. I then said, so you guys want us to come and both my son and I both have COVID? She said "well you can bring a doctor's note"... huh? I barely have energy to leave the house for 1 appointment you're asking me to go to the doctors now? Lol comedy. Nope, we'll be there at 2PM. I find it absolutely unsympathetic and ridiculous that in a scenario such as this there is no empathy or consideration. I've been going here for the past 4yrs or so and have had NO track record of cancellations, but they treat me as if I am a frequent cancellation customer... in fact we moved to Carrollton which isn't close and we decided to still keep our business here. To top it off, we get here at 1:49 our appointment is at 2:00 and they didn't see us until 2:30 . What exactly is the point of an appointment when you can't follow it? This will be our last visit.

My eyes are scratchy and irritated as I work on several monitors daily. THIS time I go to get my eye exam and even purchased frames and paid in full at that time. I called once again. I was informed Dr. Nguyen was in as it was when the clinic opened. I requested a call back. I never received the call back, the young lady that initially took my request "never even put the request on to the doctor.
