May 6 I had an appointment and ordered glasses -after 5 visits of driving back and forth and attempting to get them to fit properly I gave up. Especially when they were supposed to be in after waiting another 2 weeks and I was notified they would not be in till Aug 3. 4 months- I had insurance for my vision which covered 1 pr of lenses, 1 pr of frames and 1 visit. I went back to this location for nostalgia reasons-well I'm cured of that. This was a 35-45 minute drive one way for me. I took the first prescription from my May 6 visit-to another optical location. In 2 weeks I had my glasses and they worked fine. I wanted a computer pr and trifocals. After 5 phone calls (I left at least 3 messages-if you have no intention of calling someone back, don't have an answering machine.) Someone from accounting did call. They were going to call me back to let me know about my credit-? Seemed nice enough-? Or if there would be one? I never took possession of the glasses-I could not use them they are useless- I let them know the doctor visit was legit-keep those funds. But I will get another pair of glasses if/as needed elsewhere- please Credit. I'm done with going back and forth. So I called twice today-once again no answer and no one retuned my call. When I waited in the office for one of my multiple visits-someone else came in to pick up. Both of her children's glasses were cut wrong. Another person came in because she got a call that her glasses were ready- but they weren't. I actually wrote this review while I was waiting in the office that day. I figured I would wait to post maybe all this is just a glitch. And when the accounting person was so nice and said she'd get back with me... Well - I see they don't seem to care- I'm out $255 ( waiting for them to credit my card or mail me a check). Approximately 10 hours of my life I will never get back. Nostalgia sucks sometimes- Update Called again after speaking with 4 people They credited my card....minus the restocking fee... hilarious-she pointed out on the bottom of the receipt it mentions it. Wow- it should read restocking fee applied regardless of how many times it takes us to get it right and how long it takes to get your glasses. 4 months-never again read more

Been a patient of Vision Source- Atascocita for almost 14 years, and sadly their service has declined since the passing of Dr. Simpson. The front staff is just rude and have no business being in costumer service. They act like they are being bothered when you walk in. Recently it appears there has been a revolving door or doctors, which is concerning. Perhaps it's time to move on and find a new place. read more

There has been a decline in the service for several years now. They advertise that they are open until 6:00, but they are not. Tried to get glasses with progessive lenses and they could not produce. After 3 tries, I was forced to take the $400 glasses with lenses for reading only. I could have bought a lot of reading glasses for that amount of money! read more

First and foremost know that I am a retiree on a fixed income who does not have money to spend frivolously or without great consideration.   With this said, I decided to seek out Vision Source in Atascocita as they were in my area, and I had gotten glasses from them several years ago.  I purchased a Ray-Bans frame and glasses in January 2023. I have owned total of 6 pairs Ray-Bans, 2 current paid and never had an issue.  Last Thursday when I went in to simply get my glasses adjusted because they were falling off my head when I bent over I thought it would be simple, easy without a sad response.  The optician took my glasses, returned in less than 5 minutes to say "I adjusted them as much as possible but because you've been removing by using one hand I can't adjust any more this".  She handed them to me and I said but they've not been adjusted, as they felt the same as when I handed them to her.  She said "that's normal wear and tear of not removing them correctly."  I was hurt and stunned by her response and by what seemed to be the store policy.   At that point I said aren't they under warranty and she responded "we don't consider normal wear and tear."  I left the store and returned home to look at my receipt of how much I had paid for Ray-Bans glasses that can't ever be adjusted. At that point I decided to call back to the store to speak with someone to explain what had happened, the guy offered to have me speak with the same person again,  I insisted on speaking with an office manager who he said was Brenda.  He took my name, telephone number and said he would have her return my call.  She called and I explained the situation to her, she said she would check into it but couldn't help at this point and would need to check further.  She did not call back.  I awaited a call back on Friday morning and no return call. In the afternoon I called back and was told she (Brenda) was out to lunch.  It was getting late so I decided to call back and got a voicemail message and left a message for Brenda.  I then located an email address and sent an email to Brenda.  No response.  At this point I decided to call back 3 additional times when I got voicemail.  I declined leaving a message.  And asked my fiance to use his phone,  he too got voicemail but no message was left within 2 minutes he received a call back "This is Vision Source Atascocita may I help you".  At which time I took the phone and spoke with the same male who I had been speaking with previously to say, "What's going on that you return a call to this number but not to me.  I asked to speak with Brenda again, and was told she had gone for the day. read more

Let me start off by saying Dr. Simpson deserves five stars. He's personable and takes his time with your exam. However, the establishment that he works in deserves 0 stars! I should've done my research before even scheduling my appointment here, but it was to my home and I said why not. I went in for an eye exam and in the need of glasses because I lost mine on vacation. My eyes were already struggling from the time without them so I needed my glasses to be rushed. The lady who helped me pick out the frames told me it's a two week turn around. That's super long in comparison to other eye doctors and for the price of these frames and lenses here at vision Source Atascocita you should not wait two whole weeks for this. I call vision source Atascocita... no answer. I call back. No answer. I call at different times of the day no answer. So at this point I'm irritated. I called this morning pressed the option 2 (to make an appointment) option 1 is to check on the status of your glasses. The scheduler finally answers. I tell her I'm trying to check the status of my glasses she tells me that I still have four days for them to fulfill the two week estimated time frame. I tell her I asked for my glasses to be rushed . She puts me on the phone with the in house lab(so do you all make the lenses there or ship them off I'm confused) and this lady proceeds to tell me my lenses did not pass inspection that I need to wait the entire two weeks to receive an update on them. All in all, I'm irritated because if you struggle already seeing and have constant headache because of your eyesight you can feel my pain. My vision changed and I needed an update on glasses. I work in healthcare so I am cautious because of COVID. I went for my appointment and to my delight this location was 100% on COVID precautions. I'm a skeptic by nature and I was highly impressed and I thanked the staff. I loved this visit. read more

Dr Simpson is the absolute best! I've been going to Dr Simpson for over 10 years. All my klds have been to him too. I live in Austin now and I still see him. As my eye have changed he has done all kinds of things that kept me of readers. When my mom had macular degeneration he emailed a ton of useful info on that...even though he was on vacation at the time! My daughter had a rare issue called scotopic sensitivity...he not only identified it but also directed us to a great specialist. You won't meet a nicer or more professional provider anywhere. read more

Vision Source Atascocita blew away my expectations. I have complete confidence in Dr. Janet Terry who performed my eye exam and Jessica Garcia who helped me pick out my glasses. Before Vision Source I went to another place for glasses and walked away unhappy. I was uncertain about the prescription that I was wearing, and the frame was always sliding off my face. I told all of this to Dr. Terry, and she rolled out the red carpet. She took the time to listen to my concerns and she ran every test in the book on my eyes to which I am grateful. She explained every conclusion she reached and answered all of my questions. Jessica Garcia helped me pick out my glasses. She told me not only what looked good on me but which glasses would fit my face (nose bride, etc) and which ones would fit my prescription since I have thick lenses. She even went through the trouble of examining my current eyeglasses and explaining the problems with them. (My lens were to thick for the frame). I am excited to collect my eyeglasses later this month. (It would have been faster, but I have specialty frames) I would highly recommend Vision Source - Atascocita. read more

Nice people but overall poor service. I called them 13 days after my appointment when I ordered new glasses to check on them which was on 8/25/21. They asked when I was told they would be in. I told the girl that I was not told. She checked and said someone would call me the next day with an update which would be 8/26/21. No call.... I called this morning 8/27/21 to check on them and the guy said they came in yesterday 8/26/21 but they inspect them first before calling. He said I should receive a call today or tomorrow. They are nice and helpful but seem unorganized. They need to tell people their process and when to expect the glasses. read more

I have used this facility over 10 years and the last year the quality of customer service has drastically declined. The front desk staff are unpleasant and seem "bothered" if you request information. I needed a trial pair of contacts as mine were delivered damaged. I went in to pick them up and upon opening at home, found I only had one contact and it wasn't even marked. You can never can reach anyone on the phone as it always goes to voice mail/operator service. It is a shame as I like the Opticians there but customer service matters to me. I will be looking for another facility that cares about the service their office provides as a whole. read more

I had such a great experience with this practice. When I first walked in it was very clear where to go and the receptionists were very welcoming and friendly. They had me take a seat and wait to be called back. I did not have to wait long at all before I was taken back to get tests started. As soon as initial testing was done I was taken to a room and the doctor immediately walked in. My doctor was Dr turner who is not mentioned on the website but she was amazing! She is the main reason for the 5 stars. She was so polite and so detailed. I felt very comfortable with her. She answered all my questions and was not condescending by any means. She was very thorough and when the exam was complete she walked me up front. I will definitely be going back. read more

Dr. Simpson is the best! I've followed him through a couple of different Vision Source offices, and I like him even better now that he's in a smaller, better-run office. Wait time is minimal, prices are reasonable, and Dr. Simpson DOES NOT rush you - he makes a point of not doing so. I always choose to go here because I feel like I'm being taken care of as a real person, not another name on the list before closing time. I went in Feb. 2014 for an eye exam and to see about switching to contacts. I loved my Dr Jenny Mak. She answered all my questions about let me try two different brands of contacts to see what I was comfortable with instead of just telling me which ones to buy. The worst place to get glasses. You only have to walk in to realise how disorganized it is. More people behind the counter than infront and they still make you wait to be served. Frame styles are old and higher priced that other stores. Was called to pick up my glasses and was asked to fill out a form again, as the original one was 'shredded accidentally'. Lenses were so bad I couldn't see out of them. How confident am I nothing else will go wrong...not very! read more
