Visionary builds a good solid single family homes. But the HOA at Ridgeline Park ignores the Active Adult Communities concerns. Management never seems to manage because they don't visit what they are responsible for by visiting the community. They don't return calls. The community and our homes lanscape look horrible. Very disappointed that we pay our HOA dues and get inferior service. The landscape is terrible and during periods of snow they drive up with a truck with a street plow and pull the snow into the street from our driveways. I am retired and feel very sick I bought into this community. read more

Garbage townhome in stg. I've lived in 10 apartments or homes in the last 20 years. This is the cheapest living space I've lived in yet. The paint is so nasty. Anything that touches it leaves a mark. The cupboards/cabinets aren't even finished on the inside or the under surface. It's raw wood color above the cooktop. What did that save them, $5? Under the bathroom sink is open to the adjacent drawers. The drawer rails aren't secured onto the back wall. The rails pull out with the drawers. (See pic) Door handles are garbage. They are loose and so cheap. Closet racks are barely secured in the closets. 2 have just spontaneously broke with the weight of shirts hanging on them. Toilets constantly clog, which is a new thing for us. The garage door doesn't close during the day. The dishwasher feels like it was made out of plastic toy material. It doesn't clean dishes that aren't completely clean before you put them in. No fans in the kids bedrooms. That saved them $100 a room. Wow. The blinds are a total joke. You have to pull them down with your hands. No strings. They didn't even hook up the cat5/6 so you could hardwire internet to anything. I literally didn't know something could be built so cheaply. Not inexpensively. As a matter of fact, these are way expensive for what you're getting. They've spared every expense and then charge way too much for their homes. Luckily we are only renting, but I literally would never have this company build me anything. If they claim they can build something higher quality I can't even imagine what they'd try and charge. These are listed for $255 per sq foot. I'd surmise they cost about $85/sq ft to build even in this crazy market. I'd look elsewhere if you're considering buying. read more

MUST READ I would NOT buy a home from Visionary. My kitchen island was three different colors. All the grout fell apart within first month. Poor paint job throughout. Concrete driveway starting falling apart within months of moving in which is not covered under warranty even though it was poorly done. Column on front porch has been redone three times because nobody visionary hires can measure or cut a straight line. Chris the supervisor finally told me too bad it's the best it's going to look. We will no longer try to fix it. It looks good enough for me. The column is not squared. Pieces of wood are overlapping and trim pieces are different thicknesses of wood. In one area there is a half inch of caulking 4 feet long. I will be uploading pictures shortly of column and other faulty work. My wife and I are both teachers. We would NOT recommend them! Please notice how they do not respond to negative reviews. They are not in the business of doing what's right. read more

We were so very disappointed to find out that Visionary's vision is one-sided. They will not compromise or accommodate your needs. My husband said that they build glorified apartments, not real homes that people above the poverty line can live in. EVERYTHING, down to a double vanity in the Master bath, is either an upgrade or a flat out NO! Prisoners have more freedom of choice than Visionary customers. They show you products and services that they simply cannot and will not provide because...well, they just don't do that anymore. So you are left with paying "high" prices for LESS options. Post Update! It's now been over 2 weeks since I have emailed and called Visionary about this issue and no one has had the decency to reach out to me with an explanation, instead they continue to be a pathetic company by responding to my wife's review stating she is spreading falsities about there company. If there is anything in her review that is inaccurate please elaborate instead of calling her a liar. Everything in her review is accurate and Visionary has no moral code or professionalism. Do not use this company they will not contact you back instead they have just ghosted us like we don't exist. My wife and I were trying to purchase a home in Warner Gateway. We meet with Aubrey at the Visionary design center and she did not offer to take us to show the homes but instead gave us a code to enter the homes ourselves. We had an appointment with her but instead I felt like we were an inconvenience. After offering full list price and being told the home was ours, we again meet with Aubrey at the Visionary design center who was not prepared and made us wait around on her while she tried to pull samples and figure out the finishes for our home. We asked for info on the HOA and she sent us some documents but not the ones we requested about the HOA. I asked her if there was anyway to speak with a manager about a concern with them putting up a 6ft block fence along the back of the property and she told me that she is offended. I'm not sure how this is offensive when I'm trying to buy a home at full list and just want to feel like I can speak to someone that may have answers or feel like my concerns are being addressed. We were told multiple times the home is ours by phone and e-mail and that we would have a contract to sign. It is now 4 days later and we still do not have a contract. My wife reached out to Visionary through Facebook and also email and phone call and it's more then 24 hours later and we haven't heard anything in response to why we don't have a contract and why our questions can't be answered. I have bought and sold 2 homes and have never experienced this type of unprofessional business conduct not only by the selling agent but also she company she represents (Visionary Homes). This is very disappointing. I could not and would not recommend Visionary Homes to anyone. read more

Move on and choose another builder. Don't expect your house to be finished, even if they are pushing for it to close. We moved from out of state, and they moved the date up to close. We walked into a filthy unfinished house with multiple pages of a punch list. We had serious electrical issues losing thousands of dollars in appliances, and what does Visionary say....you can't prove it is our fault. We had the city out to check the electrical, and nothing was wrong with their side. It's been over a year and things still aren't done, and they are terrible to work with. I would never recommend them to anyone, not even my worst enemy. read more

BUYER BE VERY AWARE! Visionary was great to work with in the beginning. We even left them a glowing review. Fast forward to FOUR months after we moved in, our ceiling began to bubble and leak in the kitchen/living room. After several calls to Visionary. They finally put us in touch with Unicorn Heating. After several calls and no shows Unicorn AND Visionary assured us the problem was fixed. Almost exactly one year later the exact same thing happened. But of course worse. We had several buckets catching water. Visionary and Unicorn Heating has been SILENT. We are going on six month of calling, emailing, stopping by the offices, even trying to reach out to family members of Visionary employees. We have heard absolutely nothing from either company. We were also told they offer a referral bonus of $500. We referred two families that did in fact build with them and mentioned our names. We did not even receive a thank you. Just beware when you leave reviews. Once you give them positive feedback you will never hear from them again. We will also never refer Visionary again. read more

If i could do no stars I would. First of all they were 3 months behind schedule. We were suppose to be in by October but didn't get in until January. This is not a big deal with how the housing market is so we decided not to make a big deal about it. Right after moving in we had a leaky kitchen faucet. They told us to go through the warranty program which would take weeks so my husband had to fix the faucet. When i say leaky i mean it was a freaking waterfall anytime you turned it on. The floors started to buckle so we had waves in our floors for several months. We complained in march and they did not come fix the floors until the end of June. In the process of fixing the floors they tore our trim off the walls and then replaced the same ones with nail guns and left it looking like trash. Nail holes and holes in the wall from tearing off the trim. We asked them why it wasn't finished and they told us we had to call the warranty department and go through them again. This is annoying because I would think it was all one problem. It is now December and the trim is still not done. They called us last week and said they would be here today to fix our trim. Finally! I spent all day yesterday moving furniture by myself so they could fix the trim today. I have furniture in my laundry room blocking access to do laundry. There is furniture piled in my living room as well. They did not show up today and they did not call and cancel or even to tell us they will be late. They are an hour late right now so i am guessing they aren't coming. My house is in disarray and i am not a happy home owner. I read one of the other review above and i agree with them the paint is horrible. Anything touches it, it leaves a mark. Dust doesn't wipe off easily. It just sticks. Terrible building experience with Visionary Homes.  Nothing but lies and excuses, blames their subcontractors and suppliers for everything.  They don't know how to schedule a project.  Don't believe any construction time table they give you; it'll take 9-12 months to build your house - dig to close.  They void your warranty if you leave any negative comments - question the integrity of a company if they fear your opinion. read more

TLTR: While I love my house they are yet to complete a laundry list of tasks months after closing. I would consider another builder, or at least don't close until everything on your list is done. The initial process of building was wonderful. The craftsmanship of the home is great and the home itself is beautifully done. However we had some things that weren't completed at closing and we have been fighting to get someone out to complete the 6 or 7 projects for months. We have followed up over and over only to be sent to different people. When we finally started hearing back they were apologetic that they took so long but then it was another month of following up. We've been 'put on the list' multiple times and they've 'tried to get us scheduled' going on 4 months now. The constant need for following up is a headache and has forced us to put off other contractors to get in sprinklers and yard. Buyer beware; make sure your list is done before closing otherwise it may never get done. I'm still waiting. read more

Very friendly people. Salesman was great and the design studio was great. Lots of mistakes. Kitchen door hits the cabinets, wrong flooring, wrong countertops, poor lot grading, flimsy kitchen sink. Fixing the door will cost us over $3,000.00 and they will take no responsibility. We will also have to replace the kitchen sink. We ended up with a completely different exterior than we chose in the design studio. Signed our contract end of September 2000 and are near being ready to close end of May 2021. Contacted Visionary Homes to let them know that we had to replace tires on two of our cars. They refused to help and said that no one else had complained. I talked to a few neighbors and between the 8 of us we've had to replace 18 tires. Please clean up your mess! read more

Made several contacts to Sales office regarding Prominence Point. All I wanted to know was when the next Sagecrest would be available to contract. My realtor was turned away by a sales woman who told her.."everything is sold out, I am busy and will have to contact you later, leave your contact info..." We never hear back. I personally called Nic who was happy to speak with me but failed to complete the most simple task to send me an email after several request. Why is it so difficult to get simple information as to the next available home? Obviously, a portion of this company's sales team is lacking in motivation, competence and customer service. I've decided to look to other builders, as it shouldn't feel like pulling teeth to get simple information. I'm not going to beg you to sell me one of your homes. Who is the regional manager? Is this reflective of your overall business model? Additionally, as you browse the internet though different realty companies, you can expect the listings of Visionary Homes to be vague or plain erroneous in the information posted.
