We knew we wanted Hunter Douglas blinds that are controlled remotely. I wasn't happy with the designer who had them installed in our previous house so searched and found Michael. He is reliable responsive and listens. He brought the samples out and choosing the right blinds was so easy. He has been so patient as our house is having some reconstruction done and is kindly storing some of our blinds. If he can't answer a question he works diligently until he gets the information. I purchased blinds from them a few years ago. My only issue with them is if you need a repair after you purchased from them they may take a couple days or longer to back to you after leaving many messages. I have a friend who also purchased from them and they never got a call back. I ended up calling a competitor and they trouble shot the problem over the phone and came to my house to repair the same day. If you want an immediate response and repair I would recommend another shop. read more

We ordered blinds from this company on 8/9/21 after the owner came out and gave us a bid. I put a deposit down of $3800, which was half the cost. We told him we wanted the blinds automated to Alexa. He said it would take 6 weeks for delivery. After 2 months we began calling, leaving messages with no return calls. Finally, an installer called and they were installed in October, 2021, with no hub which was necessary for the automation to Alexa. I paid the remaining balance, minus $1000 to ensure they would be back out to finish the job. Another six weeks passed with no calls answered, until the installer just dropped off the hub, without installing it. Regretfully, I paid him the $1000 difference. My husband tried to get the hub installed and working with no success. Again we called, and 2 weeks later the installer came out, worked for over an hour and couldn't get it hooked up. He said we needed another hub. That was in December, 2021. As of this date, 2/8/22, we still don't have a hub or any calls back from the owner or installer. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We went with this company because their prices were cheaper than other bids we got for the same product. I'm sure it is because their customer service is just awful. We still don't have resolution and it's 8 months later. DON"T USE THEM! read more

I needed to get some outdoor shades for my back room that has French doors and windows. I checked Yelp and called three vendors including Visions. One company called me back, asked me what I needed and gave me an estimate right over the phone without even coming out to discuss or actually see the windows. Another came out, brought a dozen samples, gave an estimate, and left after 20 min. Michael, from Visions, came out, brought a case of samples, measured, and took his time, 1 1/2 hours, explaining everything I needed to know about shades. His price was extremely reasonable for the Hunter-Douglas shades. When my order came in, he and an assistant arrived on an agreed date/time, and did a beautiful job with the installation of both shades. Our experience with Michael has been great. We moved into a new house and needed coverings for all of our windows. After looking around and talking to various stores for several weeks, we got a recommendation from a neighbor/friend for Visions. Michael came out and measured all the windows, showed several options and provided a quote. No pressure. He left and came back when we had made a decision, took our questions and requests into account and made the final order. In less than a week, the custom shades (H-D cellular bottom- up, top-down shades) were installed flawlessly. After a few days with the shades we noticed a problem. The problem was that in one of the ground floor bedrooms the outside lights (which stay on during the night) would filter too much light into the bedroom. We discussed this with Michael and he suggested a light blocking shade of the same style. He was apologetic for not suggesting that initially (of course this wasn't his fault!) and promptly got us a new shade in just a few days (I might add at a substantial discount because he's a good guy). Fast forward about 7 months and one of the shade mechanisms failed. We contacted Michael, he promptly came to the house, picked up the shade and took it for repair. He reinstalled it a few days later. All at no charge. This is the kind of service you want, but have come to NOT expect these days. I could buy from a big box store, install myself or have their contractor install (someone with whom I'd have no first impression or any prior or future dealings). Or order from a catalog/online. Instead, we went with Visions because they were personally recommended to us, and our experience is evidence of why I suggest the same for anyone. To top it off, our total cost was lower than the big box quote! And I didn't have to install them (while I'm very handy, I was maxed out on projects/work since I had just moved my home of 20 years into a brand new house). Owners Mike and Terry are nice and well-meaning but very disorganized. They can't seem to keep track of their orders and I had to contact them for status several times. And my job took three times longer to complete than what they originally told me it would take.
