She also broke down in detail, all the customized items for my glasses with different options according to my budget. This was very helpful to me. There was a discount special going on, so I ended up buying two pairs of glasses, one of them being sunglasses. I was greeted at the door and directed to the doctor's sign in area and told that I could have a seat or look at frames until I was called. Everyone was very helpful, informative, and friendly! Dr. Giurato has always been able to prescribe the right prescription to solve my unique vision problems and meet my needs. This Visionworks is special! Tony the manager has everything running smoothly and the atmosphere is relaxed, yet businesslike. I like that I am always greeted when I enter the door. Rachel has been helping me for over two decades because she has an amazing talent at helping me select frames and she knows her stock well! This results in my happily being able to sport new and different looks as styles change. Like I always told my students and friends (who I always referred to Rachel,) "Glasses are eye candy for your face!" You have to have fun. I took my mother to see Dr. Pardinas. Doctor was very thorough. She took her time explaining everything several times. Excellent service.

No point in making an appointment. I have a very challenging schedule and also provide medical care (requiring appointments) so I've come to have a certain expectation of people respecting others' times. I made an appointment here and 40 minutes later I was still seeing walk-ins being taken before me...which obviously delayed my appointment. I don't think a 40 minute wait in the waiting area and 35 extra in the room for an eye exam is aceptable nor considerate of those who made the effort to set things up prior. I left without being seen as I had taken time off my work schedule to complete this and after a total wait time of ONE HOUR and FIFTEEN minutes my time was up!!! Also note this was a weekday appointment...I say this to place it in perspective as I can only envision weekend are more challenging. Care is okay, nothing bad but nothing to write home about either. I picked this place as my insurance changed and out of convenience....wish my old provider would be in network....also a chain, but respectful of your time. Don't see how an appointment serves any purpose here...disappointed! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE!!!! read more

It's such a shame the way the girls that work the Doctor's desk treat you when you call in to make an appointment. No skills whatsoever. They are plain rude and leave you on hold forever They give you a courtesy discount when you have an insurance plan without dental coverage but they won't give you a discount if you self pay. read more

Went there last week with my mom. We had appointments at 11:15 and 11:45. We got there at 11 and weren't helped till 11:30. We finally saw the doctor around 12 and got to get out of there by 2pm. not sure what takes so long for a simple eye exam. I've gone to other places and have been taken care of in less than an hour. I even told them I had to be at work by 1:30 hoping it would hurry the process. Luckily i was already in uniform and work across the street. Will definitely look into a different place for my next eye exam. the only reason they're even getting 2 stars is because my glasses were ready next day since they already had my lenses in stock. read more

Remember, the doctor in the back is a separate business from the front of the store and although he's not Mr Personality, he got my Rx right after surgery when Bascom-Palmer had made a mess of it. Horrible company. My dad and I had gone here for years and about 5 years ago he spent $400 on 2 glasses for me. Unfortunately i lost one 2 years ago and the other is broken beyond repair. They are also outdated so I figured to buy some new ones online (not from Visionworks). I called in the other day to get the prescription and they have "no history" of us ever being there. How do you not have records of your clients from 2014?? Everything is computerized. I don't know if they are lying or clean their computers out after a certain amount of years but That's absurd because i will not pay hundreds of more dollars just to take another eye exam to pay THEM more money for new glasses. read more

Got an appointment for same day, which was great because I did some damage to my eye with a hair brush and I feared an infection coming on. My appointment was at 10:40 and though getting me started took a bit longer than expected (about 25 mins) I was just glad to be seen. The optometrist was polite and did well at checkup. I wish he would have been a bit more personable, as he comes across as very "down to the point", but I was really in need of having my eye checked and he did just that. He gave me the facts and recommended treatment. pls note that as of 05/10/13, they are planning to relocate very soon from their current location at The Palms (NW quadrant of the kendall dr & 117 ave intersection) to the SE quadrant of the same intersection where the Food Spot used to be next to the dry cleaners. came in w my better half to get her annual eye exam done and to get her new glasses and rx for her contacts... the eye doctor (Dr. Graham) here also works out of The Falls location... he is very nice and talks very gently so for the ladies, don't think that he's trying to whisper sweet nothings into your ear... all kidding aside, it's very convenient to have an optometrist on-site so basically it's a one-stop shop for glasses/contacts... there is ample waiting area almost too much but great for kids to run amok so that they can expense some of that kid energy before getting home... the main showroom is nice too and pretty well organized... for some reason, i like the falls location better because i felt they had better selection there and that location is actually smaller... go figure! we had the pleasure to meet melissa who was a manager at the falls store but was transferred over to help manage and oversee the relocation and eventually she is slated to manage her own store soon... congrats! the service was not bad but i did feel that from both my experience and that of my better half, there main objective here is to upsell always... no matter what... while they may have that special offer of buy one get one free glasses running in what seems every month, do keep in mind that before all is said and done, it's definitely nothing cheap... make sure to check and see if they accept your insurance as that may help you save some... as we thought that this being a franchise, the prices would be more competitive but as it turns out, it is all about the same and sometimes even more than a privately owned shop... btw, i was told by my insurance BCBS-FL that this location had state-of-the-art equipment for eye exams but as it turns out, it is all the same so go to one closest to you... the one thing I did find different is that this location has eye exams available well into the evening while the sunset location did not and their latest appt was at 4pm there is plenty of parking and it's free! the bathrooms are location past the eye exam rooms and for the most part decent... read more

This is my third visit and I never wait less than an hour to be seen by the Dr. It's just rude and unprofessional to think it's ok for patients to wait this long to be seen. I find this so annoying. I come here once a year for my regular exam and each time I am asked to fill out the same forms. With information that hasn't changed, I specifically told them my information is still the same and I still have to fill out 4 forms that contain the same exact information. I understand if they ask you if your info has changed and then you give them new info... it it's just such a waste of time. This will be my last visit. Not to mention how messy it is in here. I came to this place to be prescribed for glasses and contact lenses. Firstly, the ophthalmologist was indifferent with me, but at the time of the consultation, he improve his attitude towards me. The selection of glasses is minimum and cheap (China). When I pick up the glasses and contact lenses, nor I was offered new products to use with my new contact lenses. (By what I see that I'm going to use what I have.) The consultation with the ophthalmologist I give you 4 point, products to select from 2 points and customer service 2 points, to many paper works. read more

Getting your prescription renewed, ordering contacts before your next big event, the amount of money your insurance doesn't cover -- it's never easy. BUT at this Visionworks on Kendall it's ALWAYS a pleasure. It's always EASY. It's always a breeze. Today Rachel only proved it again. I went to her almost in tears because my glasses had broken and my fur baby had taken a bite out of them, leaving my glasses "unfixable". From the moment I walked in today, she gave me a smile and helped me throughout it all. Finding a new pair. Checking if my insurance had any discounts. I will preface my experience. Walking in the front door gave one the impression of quiet sanctuary. I was glad there was no music. It gave me time to look at the wonder of all the glasses. The picture of smiling face from the shelves. The center or middle of the room gave you a reverse panorama. The lady who manned the phone made eye contact with me. AMANDA was the second person that I noticed. She approached and ask what could she do for me. Little did she know. I had gone to several places to have my glasses fixed. The gas, the traffic, the timing was wearing me down. The intel someone gave me was right on the mark. This place was a logistic wonder. They had a Lab in the back where hurting glass would be reborn as you wanted. I was surprised to see AMANDA return quickly She cleaned my glasses and they fit right. I repeat they fix wonderly right. You've hear of terrible experiences from other places. This was one that flowed with talented people. I liked the well lighted place with the windows from the ceiling to the floor.
