I have been coming here for years. They are very professional and have great customer service. My husband is a very difficult person and always wants out of the ordinary request. He had special glasses made to scuba dive and to watch TV. Dr. Laria, Judy and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to give us exactly what he is looking for with a smile on their faces. I would definitely recommend coming to this office for all your eyewear needs. read more

It's incredibly frustrating that they NEVER call back. I've been waiting for a couple of months to get lenses for a new Meta Glass. Again and again they say they will call back - tomorrow, next week, next month - 4 times now... but they NEVER call back. Ugh... very frustrating. The reception is great, friendly attendants, nice clinic... but their follow up is terrible. read more

My wife and I visited Laria's on Bird Road for our annual eye checkup, and the experience was excellent. Our appointments were scheduled within a reasonable timeframe, and when we arrived there was no waiting. The staff was thorough and professional throughout. They detected a small issue with my wife's vision that had previously gone unnoticed and made reasonable recommendations for correction. They also suggested glare-free treatment, which I found especially useful since I use my glasses mainly for driving. I was very impressed by the thoroughness of the optometrist, as well as the professionalism of the reception staff and the employee who reviewed eyewear options with us. One thing that really stood out compared to other establishments was the absence of any pressure to upsell. Prices were on par with other vendors, and overall we left feeling very well taken care of. We will definitely return to Laria's for future visits. read more

I went to Laria for about two years, then tried out another place because it was a bit far for me. However, I came back this year because nothing compares to Laria. The service here is absolutely top-notch, and everything is efficient and fast. They also have great options for frames and at a great price. read more

Excellent service. Doctors are fantastic with the children, very patient. Highly recommended.

Horrible service, I called the Flagler location because I was having an eye emergency but they said they had nothing available. Very unwilling to help. I called the bird road location and they hung up on me. Never contacting them again. Came to vision unlimited in FIU and I was helped with great service and cheaper rates. read more

After going there for several years because we just love Dr. Fisher, unfortunately we just have to go somewhere else because we just HATE dealing with her staff, particularly some guy who's always in a crappy mood and pushing for customers to buy the frames at ridiculously hiked prices. He has a terrible attitude, he's rude, he treats customers horribly, and he's as sketchy as can be. Sorry Dr. Fisher, we love YOU but we'll just have to take our business someplace else. read more

I have been a patient of the clinic for at least 5 years. I recently saw Dr. Claudia Diaz for the first time, she was very professional, pleasant and had a lot to say. Her assessment was thorough and comprehensive. The only thing I would add that needs improvement, is that she needs to practice active listening, I was trying to talk to her about a concern and she wouldnt let me talk or finish my sentences. When seeing patients, you have to listen carefully and let them voice their concerns. It should be part of the visit, a dialogue between HCP and patient. Thank you. read more

We have been using the place for years , but won't use them again. I bought a very expensive frames that I need to replace very frequently abs post sale service sucks. Bye bye Laria. read more

Dr. Fisher was recommended by another eye doctor that see's my husband, I took my son to see her for the very first time. She's extremely friendly and inviting, I was happy with her overall service. The staff on the other hand is a different story, most of them looked miserable as if they did not want to be there or bothered. As I walked in, there was four girls at the front desk. Two on the phone, one registering a patient and the last one was just standing there doing nothing with her arms crossed across her chest. Neither one of them acknowledged my presence, I just stood there till one of them got off the phone. Even the lady that does the fittings for the glasses came off rude, I told her that I wasn't sure if my sons eyes got dilated or not because I didn't see it happened. She rudely stated "well it states it here on the paper that it did". After my sons visit we simply walked out with no instructions of what to do next, it wasn't until I got to my car I realized we walked out without a follow up appt. I then walked back in and told front desk that we left without an apt, once again I received that look as if they did not want to be bothered. This place is extremely far for me, I'll return back as long as Dr. Fisher is still working there. The moment she decides to leave this practice I'll be sure to take my services elsewhere read more

The absolute WORSE PLACE to end up!!!! From the "pediatric" Dr Vicki Fisher who has No patience what so ever- shows annoyance when asked questions from a confused and worried parent- to the gentleman named Luis who is in charge of taking eye glass measurements and showing and selling - well he is down right rude and unprofessional, to say the least-- if I went into detail I would need additional space. I'll spare my time and yours- just look elsewhere. Do not bother going there. You and/or your loved ones deserve attention and professionalism, ESPECIALLY with something pertaining to your health. Best Wishes and I am certain you will find a place worth going to. read more

This review is for a phone interaction only. I called to schedule an eye appointment. The guy who answered the phone said "Please hold " and put me on hold. This is not Pizza Hut people. Be more professional and answer the phone more politely and courteous. Im sure the optometrist would agree. This is a doctor's office, please answer the phone accordingly. Having run my own office, this is completely unacceptable. read more

I've been searching for the perfect eye doctor since moving to Miami and I finally found one. Sure, other doctors are nice, flexible, work with you, etc. It's their job to be that way. What sets Dr. Laria apart from the rest is her genuine interest in your vision and well being. Dr. Laria and her staff took their time with me, addressed all of my concerns, and went the extra mile. I have terrible vision and I thought I was confined to contact lenses for the rest of my life. I usually get headaches every time I wear glasses and when I explained this to Dr. Laria, she knew exactly what to do. I'm incredibly happy with the professionalism, the price, and the attentiveness of Laria Eye Care. Other perks include: free parking in front of the clinic, a children's eye care specialist (Dr. Fischer), bilingual staff (English and Spanish), the clinic is easy to find. If you need an eye doctor, make an appointment and see Dr. Laria! read more

Today was our first time visiting Laria Eye Care. We had Dr Fisher. She is zany and fun. I totally recommend her. My husband and I have several health problems and she took it all in stride, gave us gentle and amazing care and we walked out happy and completely satisfied. The support staff is also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Oh, and Spanish is not my first language. Not a problem. Everybody was bilingual. Luis is the guy who helps you choose eye glasses. He was great. Super efficient. And I feel really good about my new look. When they go to dilate your eyes, ask to sit in the space room. It's on the kid's side but who cares! We got to sit in a room with the stars and planets all around AND watch Muppets in Space! Now seriously, can it get any better than that?!? read more

I called to see if they accepted my insurance. The first lady i talked to was extremely helpful and courteous. I was told to call my insurance and call right back in order to clarify some things. When i did call back i talked to a completely different lady. When i tried explaining that i was told to call my insurance and call right back the lady had a bad attitude and did not want to hear anything i had to say and just told me that don't accept my insurance most likely to get me off the phone. That person doesn't know that i have been there before and that i really enjoyed the service. As of today they lost my business and i would never recommend this place to anyone read more

Was our first visits to the eye care doctor for our children (7 and 9 years old) Excellent attention from the front desk, assistants and Dr Laria in particular. Very proffesional, they know how to work with children. Promp attention, easy to get the appointment One of my children needed glasses. Were requestd on Saturday and will be ready on Monday (3 days!) That's fast! I love the place and I recommend it. read more

There is something you notice very quickly when you walk into Laria Eye Care in Miami. Everyone on their team is smart, professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Oh and perfectly bi-lingual in English and Spanish. It's obvious that Doctor Laria has been meticulous in choosing the right people for Laria Eye Care. Dr. Laria is very kind and patient in explaining what is going on. They are efficient and pleasant to deal with. I also appreciated that I didn't feel like I was being sold glasses by a used car sales high-pressure approach. There is something special about this place that will keep me coming back as a regular patient, something almost magical that you can't see from the street. You have to stop in and say hello. I found Laria Eye Care from my insurance list of providers. I didn't know anybody there and just tried it because it was close to work. I left feeling pupilistically dilated, but happy. Update for 03/31/2016 Went for another exam, this time by Dr. Vicky Fischer. Dr. Fischer works with lots of children, so with me at the chronological age of 54, but with a childlike appreciation for simpler things, I felt right at home. I was ushered into an examination room that had its own green laser light planetarium display projected on the walls. I sat for a while in the darkened room with my dilated pupils tripping and taking in the laser light show. Then Dr. Vicky came in to see me. She was very thorough and professional, explaining everything to me as we went along. Once again, I felt like I was in good hands at Laria Eyecare. Whether the patient is 4 or 54, Dr. Fischer will take good care to render a sound diagnosis. The rest of the staff ensures that your experience will be pleasant. read more

As a child I had many bad experiences with optometrist that caused me to avoid them for 20+ years, but my daughters Mother has bad eyes so I had to find a doctor I could trust and that my daughter would like when we noticed her having issues blinking. Laria Eye Care came highly recommended by friends so I put my inherent mistrust of the profession behind me and made an appointment. Upon arrival we were seated in a playroom, which my daughter loved. She was a little shy upon meeting Dr. Fisher, but the Doctors demeanor made her open up and smile. By the end of her appointment my daughter was enjoying herself so much she didn't want to leave. The Doctor also did a great job explaining every step of the process and any minor issues she found along the way. Thankfully my daughters eyes were fine and her blinking was due to minor irritation from allergies. We have been back three time now and our experience has been consistently good and everyone we dealt with was friendly. During our most recent visit Dr. Fisher checked my 7 month old son, which is an interesting exam that demonstrated exactly how good the Doctor is with children. Dr. Fisher kept my son focused on her the whole time and had us in and out quickly, which is helpful when you are trying to keep two children happy. read more

Awesome experience -- Best Doctor! Dr. Laria clearly cares about her patients and her practice. I was in town for business and needed to have a quick eye exam to order contacts. -Dr. Laria- Friendly, clearly knowledgeable, and answered all my questions with a smile. She event noticed my glasses had minor scratches in them and offered to replace the lenses and tighten up the frame. -Her staff was polite, quick, and went above and beyond. -Her office was excellent - comfy waiting area with leather chairs read more

WOW I am speechless. These people are not doctors. First they gave my niece glasses and than she was told she needed therapy which was paid out of pocket and when we finally took her to a real doctor Ophthalmologist we were told not only that she didn't need glasses but we had wasted out time because the therapy for cross eye doesn't work and after 2 years we simply wasted our money. Seriously the best experience I've had at an optical! The doctor who saw me was very knowledgeable and you can tell he enjoys his craft. The staff was extremely nice and took their time explaining everything to me as well as helping me pick out glasses. Furthermore, prices are reasonable, and my insurance offered discounts on certain high end brands. Would highly recommend! read more

I agree with the reviewer Tamsy F. I have been coming for two yrs to Dr. Fisher.. She was OK she was really nice with my kids. But the guy who measures out the glasses (Luis) is completely rude and makes you feel extremely uncomfortable no professionalism whatsoever. He makes you pick out glasses very fast and if you take your time you can tell he doesn't like it. The way he talked to my son was so rude and harsh how he took the measurements.. Won't be coming here anymore I found a very good Dr closer to me with an extremely nice lady who measures out the glasses. read more

Let me start by saying that I don't like writing negative reviews, but I'm doing it as I feel this may help others. This place is terrible from start to end. Start with the website, with pictures that look more like somebody's Instagram profile or Spring break vacation than a professional optometrist. The place is in the middle of nowhere and took me 10 minutes to steel somebody's parking spot. The whole place and particularly the waiting room is dark and cold, so the initial feeling is not nice at all. I rather not give names about who attended my 2 year old (maybe the Dr was having a bad day), but didn't seem like she was used to deal with children. Completely rude and unprofessional, spraying my daughter's eye for dilation without even telling me she was about to do that, and telling me to take a picture of a piece of paper so I can read later about what the specifics of the issue with my daughter's eyes. I'm ok dealing with rude, but the worst part is that she was diagnosed with glasses with a "oh yeah, she needs glasses for life" (showing again a lot of sensitivity when dealing with kids...and parents), and I was rushed to the counter to choose a pair since apparently she needed them immediately!. I had picked this place for insurance purposes since all the places my pediatrician had recommended will not take my insurance. I left the place with no glasses and called one of those other places from the car. I had an appointment for next day, and the Doctor there did not recommend glasses, but to work on some exercises and reevaluate in 6 months. The Doctor and place was so nice and professional...again I don't want to give names, but the difference was like night and day. I've never been happier to pay out of pocket for a doctor's visit. read more

The doctor herself is very nice . Her staff however are not very pleasant . If your going for an appt. be PREPARED TO WAIT !

Easy to find location. Pleasant staff. Detailed exam and explanations. Very kid friendly.

Friendly and knowledgable staff. Dr. Fischer is very patient, engaging helpful and quick. Thank you so much for giving my son a positive experience. A true kid friendly practice! read more

I have been to quite a few optometry offices in my life. Also had LASIK a few years back. So I knew what to expect when I had to take my kids to see an eye doctor. My pediatrician recommended Laria Eye Care and I am so thankful he did. I met such a wonderful doctor named Dr. Vicky Fischer. She was very knowledgeable and knows her stuff. It was a pleasant experience since it was the kids first time there. From the first phone call to exiting the office, everyone there was friendly and professional. The kids loved the children waiting area and the planetarium. Call today to book your appt, you won't be disappointed. (Now I sound like I'm advertising for them. Lol) read more

I've been going to Laria Eye Care for a couple of years now. Lovely staff! I would agree with the other positive reviewers that they definitely go above and beyond. Everything was timely and professional, my glasses always fit well and the prescription is spot on. They have a lot of stylish frames there and I know they specialize in prescriptions for children if anyone is looking for that. I highly recommend them! Ask for Vicky when you go. She is a lovely blonde optometrist who is passionate about what she does. Great place to get some frames! read more

I've been a client for 2 years. The doctor recommended I get new glasses so she told me to speak to the man in the front who sells them and has my prescription. He showed me the "special" they had glasses for $99. They were really cheap and I could tell they wouldn't last me long. So I politely said no, thank you though I just want my prescription. And straight to my face he mumbled "waste of my time." I didn't even ask him for glasses. Not coming back here again. read more

The staff was nice but the doctor had no patience what so ever. I took into consideration this facility base on all the positive review but in our case it was a horrible experience. First time bringing my son to have an eye exam she didn't even explain anything to him. Then she was frustrated bc she had to do the exam again. She dilated his pupils and practically kicked out of the room rudely. When I ask again if he needed glasses she stated that as per my son he needs it. I believe that it is up to the doctor if he needs eye glasses not a seven year old. Then she stated that he had wasted enough of her time. I don't know if she was having bad day but if you work with kids you should have more patience and at least act like you like kids not like you are in a hurry and upset. This is unacceptable. read more

We were very specific that we had very limited time as we had to hire a babysitter for this appointment. We walked 10 mins prior to our appointment time and the entire waiting room was full. We spoke to the gentleman in the front desk and he said there would be no issue and we would be seen at our appointment time. 40+ mins after our appointment time and we still hadnt been called. When we approached the front desk, the gentleman had an attitude and we decided to leave. He didnt ask us to reschedule and wasnt even apologetic for the delay knowing that we were on a tight schedule. I would have appreciated honesty from the time we came in then have us wait there knowing that we were never going to be seen on time. Dr nay be good but very unprofessional staff. read more

I highly recommend Laria Eye Care. I saw Dr Fischer who was professional and friendly. She gave me excellent advice about my eyes and contact lens care.
