I went in with very fragile (hoping they weren't broken ) frames. The ladies helped me right away and worked on them for almost 20 minutes until they were able to get a screw in place. I left very happy not having to spend $200 on new frames. Give them a try and get treated right! read more

I read the reviews of overly long wait times but thought that could be anywhere so decided to book. I write this review as my appointment time was now over an hour ago, still waiting. They took me back to take pictures of my eyes, then made me wait again. When I was told to go to a doctors room it was already occupied. This happened twice to other people, there is no organization whatsoever at the desk of who was already called back, who's been waiting the longest, it's a little ridiculous. read more

I have dealt with visionworls in Tampa & never had a terrible experience. As with everything in a smaller town, things seem to be easier & quicker. I had an amazing lady, Elizabeth working with me, she was a rare gem. She assisted with my orders, made suggestions & got the price lower by changing which the insurance company paid for. Also, if I got my contacts at the same time, They were 20% off. We had casual conversation & she was a very special lady. I enjoyed my experience at the store & meeting Elizabeth was a great bonus. This is my third email to find out where my glasses are on 5/27 At store #325 Port Richey I ordered 2 pairs of glasses one pair of regular and one pair of sunglasses.The address was wrong so we changed it asked me if I wanted them mailed to me I said no well you mailed the to the wrong address which I had to track down and get than when I open them you made both glasses regular no sunglasses so I go back to the store and they said we will reorder them and you will have them by 6/21 I paid the $20 dollars to have them mailed still no glasses I called the store and left a voice message no response I emailed the other day no response if you call corporate I was on hold for 20 minutes how I know that I can see it on my phone. I scheduled an appointment for a annual check up and had to schedule 10 days in advance to get their earliest date available. Received a very thorough exam, but did not buy the extras. I had planned to purchase the two pairs for 59.00, but went up to the next level optics for 134.00 for two pairs. Even at more than twice the price, they only offered a very limited selection of frames. As I was checking out , the computers were down, so it took over an hour to be able to get approval for a credit card payment. After waiting over an hour, they imprinted my card on the old knuckle buster, and I finally headed home. My glasses were promised for Tuesday, as I was there on a Saturday. They were available for pick up that Thursday, a few days later than promised. I am satisfied with my new glasses. read more

WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME & MONEY! I ended up going to them 5 times in 3 months time for re-work of glasses after getting my eye-examination from them .Every time the vision of the glasses was messed up and finally when i got my vision corrected , the frames were messed up and it seems that someone placed a heavy stuff on the frames . I went back to them but the staff is not very competent and could not help me much with the messed up frames . I even had to pay $50.00 for extra re-work as per their policy.... First let me say, my son had a great experience here and I went based on his recommendation. I loved being able to make an appointment online. As a new patient, I arrived for my appoinment early knowing there would be paperwork. I was greeted cheerfully and all covid policies and procedures seemed in place. I felt safe and it was a clean facility. My appointment was scheduled for 5. At 5:45 I asked the front desk how much longer I would need to wait. They said approximately 15 minutes or so. They offered to reschedule me, but, I was there and had already paid. I decided to wait another 15 min. At 6:15 I left. An hour and 15 minutes seems an excessive amount of time to wait. While I cannot speak to the care you will receive here, I do know you shouldn't book an appointment on a day you have anything else scheduled. read more

So I got an eye exam at a competing vision center two weeks ago, and missed my followup appointment due to work. They gave me one trial contact lens (I only have a script for one eye). Well, last night I fell asleep and forgot to take it out, and I must have brushed it out of my eye as it was gone when I woke up this morning. So I go back to the office to ask for a replacement, turns out the optometrist is on vacation, they call a sister office, and nobody picks up the phone. Their attitude was pretty much "just go blind for a couple weeks and come back later". Instead, I walked into Visionworks Port Richey. Even though I didn't have an appointment, they went above and beyond to get me worked into the schedule. I got a new exam, and 2 years of contacts and two sets of glasses on order. This year I had the worst experience Ive ever had at visionworks of Port Richey than ever. I bought a pair of bebe and a pair of nine west. The entire order was wrong When I picked them up. Bebe tint was wrong, and the frame and tint on the nine west was wrong. The money for both was returned to my account and I was charged for the nine west. One week later I was summed to the shop to pay for what I thought was the second pair. Three weeks later I called to see if the second pair arrived and Im told ive been waiting for lenses not glasses. So where is my second pair of glasses?? Nowhere, lenses alone arrived. Im done. So im in the office waiting to have the lense money returned to my account and Im told Im going to have a long wait because the supervisor has a customer. Meantime there are 3 employees with no customers. So whos crazy. Im sitting here waiting... its been at least 40 minutes so far. In my opinion there is no right here. So now its little more than an hour, and finally someone is working with me. Am I ever coming back??? Nope. An hour later, Laura helped me. Thank you Laura. I appreciate you. read more

Was so excited to pick up my new sunglasses, which I paid a hefty price even though I had insurance. Anyway, I went in for the fitting, and it turned out to be a most unpleasant experience! She could not or was not able to fit my sunglasses. I kept telling her the glasses were lump sided, and she tried and tried and after approx. 45 minutes she asked another girl to help fit them as she couldn't do it. The other girl immediately saw that I was right, and straightened them somewhat, but by then I was so exhausted that I gave up and accepted them as they were and left. Well I hate my new sunglasses, as they don't fit right. Ugh! Something that was supposed to be pleasant turned out to be sheer torture!!! read more

First I'd like to say I hate shopping for glasses. Last time was miserable. This time was very busy not sure if there's a bunch of sales or what but they got to me quickly. I'm not one to give reviews but this store deserves it. The dr was very patient. I asked a few questions and I walked out understanding a lot more then expected. Now I have to say, it seems the prices are higher here. Not sure if it's inflation or here. The Pretty lady that helped me was on her toes. She knows how to sell. I hate salesman that are slow to answer when you ask them prices. She was not slow even though she seemed new. But vision works definitely should look out for the employees and replace the tablets and get them something good. Even the manager had issues with hers. So I give 5 stars to Tarra (even though I think I could have talked her down on price if she didn't have a mountain on her finger) and Stacy (don't get to frustrated you'll learn it!!). Nice employees BUT this place is a scam. I don't have vision issues i have glare and night driving issues. So i pay $60 i don't really have for "anti-glare" to be put on--the only reason i got glasses at all. NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER! So i go back in and complain, they say it was the fitting that it needed to be tighter, okay so i tried it---STILL NO DIFFERENCE in the glare! Not what I would have expected at a vision place. Employees are very nice, but they DO NOT WIPE DOWN any examination equipments after use. I saw an employee use the restroom and DID NOT wash her hands after she left the room. How unsanitary!!!! read more

Do not go here, they are so unbelievably rude. The Optometrist himself was nice, but everyone else was really sassy and had too much of an attitude. It was my first appointment there ever and they called me in to run some tests and then had me wait again. While I was waiting I asked if I could go get my expensive Armani Exchange glasses tightened in the frame shop and they said sure. I gave it to this girl and all she said was, "Sure, we can tighten those no problem!" The next thing I know, they're in two pieces. She LAUGHS about it, doesn't apologize, and says, "Oh I'm going to see if I can maybe super glue these or something." In the meantime they call me back in to my checkup and I tell the lady that I don't have my glasses back and she throws a little fit, "You can't go in without your glasses! You're supposed to go in now! You're putting us behind schedule! Its fine. We'll just take the next person and you'll have to wait another 45 minutes for their appointment." She was completely rude and literally the girl came out of their back room not even a minute later but they didn't have the decency to understand that they broke my glasses and instead just rudely rescheduled me without even waiting a few minutes. Anyway, the girl hands me back my glasses with this giant wad of tape, laughs some more, and says, "sorry, this is the best I could do." At this point I'm very upset, because not only could they not wait for two minutes before they rescheduled me but they were rude about it and they broke my glasses! I went to talk to the lady at the front desk about my broken glasses and she gave me an attitude and said, "we warn all of our customers that we are not responsible if we break their glasses." First of all, NO ONE said that to me, that was the first time I was hearing it, and second of all what kind of policy even is that??? I informed her that I had not been informed of this policy and she just shrugged and didn't make eye contact. In hindsight, I should have made a bigger commotion about the injustice that was done, but I decided just not to give them my business and after my appointment, I left. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with the way this business is run and I would not suggest them to anyone. Instead of leaving with a smile and some new glasses, I left very upset due to poor customer service and a pair of broken glasses that were haphazardly taped with scotch tape. Bought a pair of eyeglasses there, the frame I had chosen is one that I use to sell before I retired because I knew the frame companies policies. After paying a shocking amount for the glasses within four months the plating came off on the frame, this frame is warranted against manufacturers defects for life of prescription, went into Port Richey Fl office and was told I had to pay to get it replaced I was appalled by that statement and left knowing that they would have gotten a replacement on this, hopefully corporate will honor the frame companies waranty if not I refuse to pay anymore than I did for this over priced pair of glasses. read more

I had given vision works two chances to make thing's right with me and they didn't. Both times i was given the wrong eye glass prescription and had to return and again was given the wrong prescription! None of my money was refunded and i had to go elsewhere for a exam and frames. Truly frustrating and a rip off to the customer. I believe their Doctors do not know what they're doing. I will never return. read more

My wife went down and purchased a pair of glasses and an exam. When she got home the glasses didn't fit quite right so we went back up the next day. 30 minutes later I noticed everyone else in line that came after us was getting called. So I go up to check and they skipped over my wife and helped everybody else. These customers did not have an appointment just like us. I'm not sure if they make a commission or what but once they got our money they were done with us. A terrible experience overall we will not be back! read more

ordered my glasses from these people. it cost me 500.00 and that was at half price. i got my glasses and its the worst pair i've ever had. i can't see as well with these as i did with my old glasses. supposed to be able to see clearer up close and distance. its not made right. i dont care what they say. they just want to see my old glasses to compare. compare what? you didn't make these where my vision would be better. i have to tilt my head up to see the distance. the prescription may be right, but the placement of said prescription is all wrong and i will never ever recommend these people not even to my worst enemy. i have been back twice and they just keep asking me if i've ever had no-line bifocals. yes!!!!! for the last 20 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they act like i dont know what im talking about. they screwed these glasses up and just dont want to fix them. dont go there if you want a good pair of glasses. they're very expensive to begin with and their product is not as good as the cheaper eyeglass companies.... they're worse. seems rude is their way of doing business. it would be nice to have glasses i could use instead of ones that make me have to blink twice to make sure i can see. i will get a new pair and i will not ever go back to vision works. what a joke. unreliable and in my book liars. when you dont make someones glasses correctly you should be obliging to re-d them instead of try to bend and shape them ten different ways. i hope you people read this and take note that its. not worth the additional money you pay for the "name" of the company., there are at least four better ones in pasco county any day of the week and those are the ones you should get your glasses from. i am furious that it cost me $500.00 and they're not willing to fix the problem read more

Even when I upgraded my lenses to light weight, scratch resistant, and glare free I still paid under $300, which if you never bought glasses before is a great deal for two good pairs! I received a call on Dec 1st adking if my son wanted the same pair of glasses he has now because the insurance will cover a replacement. I called yesterday (10 days later) to see if the glasses were in and I was told yes they were I can come in at any time to pick it up. I drive down there which is a 30 min drive to find out the glasses were never ordered. And of course one is pytting blame on the other. This place is horrible!! My wife and I went to this location to get her new eyeglasses. We made a appointment for a eye exam at 4:30, for which we arrived at 4:20. At 4:30 the receptionist took my wife back to the examination room where she sat until 5:15 when the Doctor came in to start the exam. After that was finally completed she proceeded and picked out frames that she really liked, only to have the fitting clerk to tell her the frames where all wrong and they wouldn't work. After that she tried to call our insurance and said they where closed, but she did say she'd call them in the morning. So we left without getting glasses. The following morning I called our insurance company to confirm the coverage. I had no problem getting through or talking to a representative and getting the information. About 15 minutes after I hung up from the insurance company I received a call from Visionworks saying my insurance was closed today. I do not do business with people that lie to me, so we went to Visionworks in Palm Harbor and had a very pleasant experience and purchased my wife's glasses there. read more

Vision Works - don't use them if you can find another eyeglass or contact lens provider. I bought a pair of glasses and a couple of boxes of contacts last December. Even with insurance, spent a considerable amount of money out of pocket. When I asked them if I could change the brand of contact lens they wrote on my prescription, I was told that I had to pay for another exam, even though my last exam was less than nine months ago. I've had issues with blurry vision, discomfort, and very red irritated eyes over several months but hadn't had the time to see about making a change. I had complained about dry eyes and blurry vision to them but was told to just use over the counter eye drops. They said I had to pay $128 for another exam. When I said I well, you've lost a customer and I will go somewhere else, the young lady at the desk said, that's okay, go ahead and do that. I also recently discovered that they restricted my contact prescription to one of the most expensive brands available. read more
