There are much nicer gyms in the area for the same price that don't have huge guided work out classes taking up half of the gym and equipment. Literally had an instructor steal the bench I was using and say she'd give it back in 30 minutes. All of that BS on top of the horrible parking situation where you'll pay $50 a month to get parking tickets, disgusting locker rooms, constant early closures and broken equipment. The only nice thing about this gym is the friends I've made.

The Knoxville Visitors Center is head and shoulders above any other I've been to regarding the service and the offerings. What other center has a working radio station, complete with live music performances (Blue Plate Special)? There are countless maps, bus, trolley, and event schedules, biz flyers, and a fairly comprehensive gift shop. I love that the gift shop is full of local vendor merchandise. This spot is a true celebration of our city. Make sure to check out the outdoor wall mural near the rear parking lot.

The Center offers a nice exhibit of animals and plants that can be seen in the park. Rangers are available to help answer questions and help design Park itineraries for visitors. The Center is a perfect place to pick up maps and other Park info. We bought parking passes and I picked up several cool walking sticks in the gift shop to give as gifts. Prices on some items were reasonable. The staff were super friendly despite the crowds. There are rest rooms available...the last real restrooms before entering the Park. Outside, are little "gardens" featuring native Park vegetation. Addition parking is being added. Every visitor to the Park should plan a stop at the Center. Plan 30 minutes to an hour.

Mike Davis, our driver was professional and flexible in getting us where we needed to be in comfort and safety. I was very impressed with Mike's ability to handle the bus in any circumstance from interstate cruising to maneuvering narrow streets in downtown Cleveland. The Foundation said the Avian Research and Rehabilitation Center is part of a multi-million dollar project to build an educational campus. AEF also announced that Dr. Michael Jones, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Clinic, will be the director of the new facility.
