Assisted Living: First of all its an assisted living place for the elderly. They have two churches basically in their parking lot so residents get to walk to their church if they so please. My grandparents also tell me that they are always doing events at the church which sounds fun. Condos: So, not all of this is assisted living. There is a Condo/Duplex type situation where you can have your own home and front yard which is quite nice. The back yard has a nice porch and is connected through a large field to the rest of the property and a running/walking trail. They have a lot of cool features as being a part of the condo. If they need assistance, they have a whole staff that comes into the condos to help people, but only if you need it. Also, they have their own lawn services, so they never have to mow their own lawn again, which they enjoy. All around its great, they even have a gate that allows people in and out, plus a strick move in policy for older seniors only.

Like the website states, all guests enjoy the amenities of a cruise ship. They offer 1 or 2 bedroom apartments, completely private cottages, and I believe they even have an assisted living facility. They offer 3 restaurants that you can choose from and I believe all residents have an allowance for food . Residents also have the option of cooking in their own apartment. I've been to both the Soufflé cafe and the Renoir restaurant. The food is pretty decent for a place like this. My grandmother prefers the Renoir Sunday brunch. I had quiche, the salad bar, and some soup. We had mimosas with brunch; they were pretty weak, but what can you expect in a retirement community? I feel fortunate that my grandmother lives in a place like this. She's definitely happy with it!

Stay away from Montereau!…read more If I truly spelled out all of the issues we had with Montereau, this post would be so long that you'd give up half way through. So I will briefly spell out four factual disappointments (not an opinion -- these are things we actually experienced!). One: When my dad was living there, Montereau had troubles with their boiler which resulted in the water faucets (kitchen, bathroom, and shower) getting clogged DAILY. A maintenance person interrupted my dad DAILY to clean out the faucets so he had running water. Two: The food was horrible! Three: The care that was promised was not good, particularly on the weekends. When my dad moved from independent living to assisted living, the care was even worse! Four: Our experience was so bad at Montereau that we finally moved my dad to a different assisted living venue. It took well over a year to get my dad's deposit back. During the entire process, Montereau NEVER communicated a thing. My sister and I had to be deliberate on contacting Montereau regularly, trying to determine the status of his refund. Once his apartment was leased, it took Montereau over 60 days to send a check. Montereau was a miserable experience not only for my dad but also for my sister and me who had to interact with the staff there, including the president. Service was poor and communication was non-existent. If I could give Montereau zero stars, I certainly would!

The occupancy is at around 25%, why? They increase the rent yearly, last year was $200.00 per month. The previous year was $125.00. What happens when the wearable alert button is pushed? No one on the grounds can assist the individual. A call is made to an out of town call center who then calls the local 911. There is no staff on the grounds or in the facility after 8:00 pm. The entire facility is vulnerable for Fire, Thief, and storms. Their excuse is they have an alarm system? For elderly, hearing aid people that take them out at night to sleep. 2) the facility is not locked down when the staff leave. Anyone could walk in there at any time. They do not follow Oklahomas Administration Code §450:60-5-2- Independent living services. The facility is bedbug infested and they have knowingly left all the elderly occupants in this health hazard for weeks, possibly months. A formal complaint has been filed with all the proper authorities.
