I've had mix ups with getting aides or massive delays. Messages not returned. I've gotten slight attitude on the phone. I had to call the medical supply company myself to see if I could get a hospital bed urgently delivered even after I was assured it could happen last minute. Then the company on the phone told me they were too busy. Then VNA pushed and got it delivered but I never should have had to jump through those hoops to begin with. Period. When requesting an aide a second time, more than a week went by and I had to follow up. The chaplain and social worker were nice but it seems to me overworked as there was no follow up without prompting weeks later. The doctor chose this provider and if I had more information, I would have gone with a different Hospice provider completely. Everyone told me how great hospice services are for both the patient and the caregiver. I have not experienced that with VNA. Heaven forbid my mom passes on a weekend. I do not have faith in them that they will respond quickly. Aside from the visiting nurses assigned to us, I do not trust the professionalism of the staff in the office or their response time. I would not have written this review if I didn't experience multiple issues.

I specifically went with VVA because they offered all 3. They told my hospital they had health aids. Well they don't. It was the same issue for me 3 years ago. I had PT and OT no health aid ever showed up. Seriously, if you need a health aid this is not the place for you. Don't waste your time waiting. I requested a dietician, waited 2 weeks before I heard from the dietician only to call back the next day and never hear from her after 2 more calls and 2 additional calls to Visiting Nurse directly ensuring me I would get a call back. Never happened.

The not so Brightstar of Westfield also farms out billing to an accounting firm, so not to take blame for any fraudulent billing. Brightstar of Westfield was also a merry go round of aids, must have gone through 40 different aids with different hourly wages within a 2-year period. Comfort Keepers management, customer service, billing and their homecare nurses, all top of the line. Terry found a great home aid nurse to suit my mom's 24/7 in house needs.

Sovereign called her to get her credit card number in advance and charged her card. On Monday, no one showed up or even called. When she called them at 2:30, they told her they didn't have anyone available to take her and they would refund what they had charged. I have called them twice this week because I think they should also pay the doctor's no-show fee, and have left two messages but no one has called me back. This is terrible customer service all around.

Very responsive anytime I needed something even if I needed something in the middle of the night. I can contrast this with the care I received from another hospice group for my 94 yo old mother, also with dementia. They did nothing other than provide a comfort pack. One of the nurses actually yelled at me from across the street! My point is that it really matters who you choose for care. They provide grief support groups and one-on-one counseling; the other group did nothing more than send me photocopied letters telling me how I should feel! I cannot say enough good things about this service.

I was able to get An appointment, the receptionist was super helpful and the wait was within 15 minutes of my appointment even though there were many people in the waiting room. The tech who did my scan asked me questions, explained the process and asked me to wait after to ensure the scan was good and the initial reading didn't show anything concerning. I appreciated that very much. The results were uploaded to MyChart within the hour. Very efficient and nice people. Because I went in within 2 hours of my appointment, the insurance had not approved my test. They waited until the last minute to see If it would be approved and gave me the option to pay out of pocket or reschedule. I didn't have time or want to risk having a problem, so unpaid out of pocket and will working out with my insurance. They were very upfront about it and I liked having the option.

I called late one night and spoke with Julie who made the whole process of getting his home health aide set up. The girl they sent out was great and went above and beyond to make sure my dad had everything he needed and to make sure he was safe. My siblings are all scattered throughout New Jersey and our biggest concern was my dad being safe and looked after and these guys really did a great job caring for him when we couldn't.
