She will come into my home and not even say hi to my wife or pca even when they open the door to let her in. I don't recommend this agency because of her. Jen z brings the company down. I know everyone has different experiences, but this place has AMAZING STAFF who whole heartedly care about you and will help you with anything you need. Serenity made it very easy to get and stay clean. I met with the Dr. and Councilor about every weekday to confirm how I was feeling/how the medication was working. They stress that they are not keeping you against your will. You may leave at any time but of course the staff will try to talk you out of it because they truly care. It is the same as going to any Dr.s Office, yes you pay for your own transportation to and from, however all meals and snacks are provided. Meetings are held every couple of hours and your able to go outside after each group and meal. I love that they use a tapering system and they don't wait for you to be in agony like a lot of other places where you're ready to pass out before they will give you meds (i.e. Spectrum).

When I went there, she always saw me right away, compared to other doctors offices where you're waiting in the exam room for a while until your doctor actually comes in. She also seemed nice and always took the time to answer any questions I had. But one thing that bothered me a lot was how they would reschedule me for almost every appointment I made, because she was also a midwife. Being a midwife, being rescheduled is reasonable; things come up and she's suddenly needed. But when they would reschedule me, it wouldn't be for another month or so. When they had to reschedule me, I don't know why they couldn't try to reschedule me closer to my original appointment, or maybe offer to put me with another doctor for the next appointment if she was too busy. After doing that for a few years, I decided to no longer be a patient because of how often I got rescheduled. Once they even called to cancel my appointment when I was only a few minutes away. It was worse for me because I didn't live around the area, so it was also a significant commute. I specifically saw this doctor because I liked her and the staff when I used to live around the area. But I decided the hassle wasn't worth it. If you don't mind getting rescheduled, or if you live around the area, it might not be as bad if your appointment gets canceled. I don't know the other doctors there, but having a different doctor might also give you a better experience.

My mother battled through cancer, not just in the hospital, but in rehabilitation facilities and at…read morehome, as well. When she got home, my father (and the only other person living with her) suffered an injury and was no longer able to live at home and help her. My siblings and I had to scramble to find an organization that could provide the kind of assistance that my mother needed, and we didn't have long to do it. Right At Home was recommended by a number of the social workers we spoke to so we reached out to their office. They sent a representative that same day to speak with my mother, assess her needs, hear what SHE specifically hoped for out of the arrangement, and chose employees that were likely to be the best fit. The day my mother came home, they were able to place someone in her apartment with her that same night! Unreal, and not a timeline we expected to be able to get. The people that came were some of the most compassionate, kind, friendly, engaging, and helpful people we have come across during this exceptionally difficult journey. The women assisted her with everything she needed, to include functions of life that would have been difficult for her children to assist with. They helped her with meals, moving about the space she lived in, and provided a companionship that my mother raved about until her final days. Their notes on her activities, medications, sleep schedule, health complaints, and so many other things were vital to knowing how to best care for her. The transitions from one caregiver to the next were always seamless, they were always on time, and had proven themselves to be as dependable as we needed them to be. The caregivers were with her until the very end and had so much obvious love and caring for her that was almost too much for me to watch. The last girl that sat with my mother, even knowing she had been unconscious for days while struggling to breathe, was so wonderful that she even spent hours, plural, literally singing to my mother while she laid in bed. When we asked her why she did it, she said that my mother could still hear and wanted her to know that someone was still by her side. My family and I can't say enough wonderful things about the women that came to support my mother. The way they conducted themselves, the way they lessened the burden on our family with a smile, the friendships my mother found though this process, the communication from the office staff, the way they went out of their way to ensure someone was always there (up to even sending someone from the office staff to be with her until they could get someone else there during an unforeseen staffing issue) ... it was wonderful to be able to trust that she was taken care of by people who truly cared about her.
