He advised us to go to Macy's which has the best selection. He never pressured us to buy. We did go to Macy's plus one other store but ultimately decided that Craig had the best bed for the best price. We appreciated the time he took and the no-pressure approach. We now have our new bed and are totally thrilled with it. I highly recommend Craig as he knows his stuff and gives you the time and space to comfortably come to a decision.

It was very good but we tried the other ones and could not believe how comfortable the Lifetime 9 was. My wife prefers a firmer bed than me and the salesman explained how their "cassette" topper system for the Lifetime is split in two for the kings (we got a cali king) and one side is softer than the other to do exactly that. That's how they have the beds setup in the showroom so we could confirm that soft side was perfect for me and harder side was perfect for her. Long story short, we totally upsold ourselves by at least two models because this mattress was so much more comfortable than anything we tried from them or any other company. The salesman didn't push us at all. He didn't need to. We were upgrading from a truly ancient queen bed and mattress and are up two flights of stairs in a brownstone so we bought a new frame (Alana in tiger mahogany) and paid for the white glove service to bring everything up to our bedroom floor (otherwise they'd leave it inside our front door at the bottom of the stairs), setup the new bed, and cart away the old mattress and box spring (old frame is still our responsibility). Delivery was easy to setup around our schedule, guys called a few days before to confirm delivery window then called when they were 20 minutes away. They arrived right on time, did everything they were supposed to, and took away all boxes, plastic, tape, etc. Could not have been smoother. It's only been one night but we slept incredibly well and my wife is now late taking our cat to the vet because she took a nap and slept too long! She does not seem remorseful.

We tried laying on one of the beds, and, 'yes', it surely felt comfortable. I also tried out one of the pillows which had like a grid of squares in the center of the pillow top. It sure did feel nice. Out of curiosity, I then asked 'how much would the entire bed setup, like this one, cost, for a queen-size, with delivery to Astoria? The woman tallied it up and said "$14,000." I gotta say...I was rather shocked...I thought maybe $6,000, for a fancy mattress setup like this. But fourteen thousand?? That got me to thinking...if I ever did want to up my sleeping game one day, I think instead of buying their entire setup, I might just splurge on their 'featherbed' topper (that comes with a heavy-duty, removeable/washable cover), and maybe one of those pillows....

The design was changed after the area manager took over, which we flagged and requested a call. We mentioned several times that we would get back to him once we had made a decision, yet the follow-up felt overly pushy. When we returned with the order details, they were changed again, and the area manager seemed annoyed when we asked to discuss this further. Finally, after confirming the details on a call in the evening and mentioning that we needed to go to the bank before sending a check the next day, we received an email at noon asking for a specific time when it would be sent. That level of pressure was unnecessary, especially when we had specified that we were not in any rush. When we raised this, the response was that "it is his job... and that he has spent a lot of time...". From our perspective, the job should be to get the details right and follow up at a respectful pace. We do not feel comfortable moving forward with such a significant expense through a company that comes across as pushy and inconsistent. If this is how the order process is handled, it raises concerns about how the product would be delivered and how the rest of the process would unfold. There are so many options for Murphy Beds and suchlike in NYC without pushy salespeople. 1st star for Anastasia and 2nd star for the product designs.
