Enoch Christoffersen Rest Area is one of the safest stops that offers amenities: restrooms, water fountain, and picnic tables. This stop is also dog friendly. The patch of grass is perfect for your four-legged family members to stretch their paws. There's a stand with doggy-poop bags that makes it easy to clean up after them. There are plenty of parking spots but bear in mind that this is not an overnight stop. Located about 2.3 miles South of Turlock, CA, Enoch Christoffersen Rest Area is accessible from California State Highway Route 99. It is a state-managed facility and is well maintained. During the summer months, you will witness beautiful coloured flowers that pop up here and there. In addition, the night attendant Perry was also very helpful and took us to our spot and pointed out where things were. That is all the good I can give the campground. Let's start with the "no's" . No wi-fi, no cable, no restrooms. If I am paying for a site, all three of those are mandatory. The campground itself is set next to the Merced River so there is good scenery, but the campground itself is old and worn out. I would say that' 80% plus are all permanent residents, some of their equipment in very poor condition. The roads are all gravel and my site was very un-level. I think there is good potential here, but there needs to be a lot of investment made to get this park back to a destination people will want to visit.

Big pros: + Close enough to the freeway, central location to Turlock, Merced, Modesto, but without freeway noise (You will hear the train frequently but this is something I grew up around so it's actually comforting to me). +Friendly, helpful staff. +On site propane refill: You can leave your empty tank out and they'll refill it for you. Awesome. +Reasonable cost: Rent includes water, you just pay your own electric (get LED bulbs in your RV!) +Safety: The gate closes at night and you need a code to get in. I've never felt unsafe here! Neighbors have been friendly too. +Dog friendly: Dog park for big and little ones. -Con but not worth removing a star: WiFi is crappy. We get by with our hot spot and Starbucks one exit away if we really need to get something done without it kicking us off. Our spot is right on the river and I love waking up and seeing the fog roll over the river. We plan on staying a full year and I know I will have many good memories of this place!

The hauler took date and location stamped pictures sitting in the spot next to the same rv we parked it beside. When it arrived it had an active rat infestation. My water likes and gas lines were destroyed it cost me $3k for this not including mattress,bedding ect replacements. I contacted the park,Tami told me to get an estimate and they would take care of this. After a month of trying to get an estimate and having to pay for it,now they've decided that are not responsible for these damages. I was only asking for repair of where it had been backed into. They have cameras,they know who did it and when. At this point I will be contacting my insurance and suing for all damages. Please,if you care about your stuff do not store here.

New tile flooring, crown molding, appliances, sheets, mattress, tv, toilet, pedestal sink, freshly painted and completely remodeled shower. Did I mention it also has recessed lighting with 3 switches to nicely brighten up or dim the lightening and 2 of those switches, located on each side of the bed have outlets and usb plugs, which is very handy with all the devices people have now a days! The new management is continuing upgrades and even though the biggest changes are inside, I felt 5 stars is deserved just from the big improvements and it will only get better! Always out and about the small complex, so to check in I had to go find him. 45/night, room included a fridge, shower, walk in closet, and very very small bathroom, which is fine for what it is. Cable, AC, Heat, NO wifi or internet. The bad part, everything is falling apart inside. All the furniture looks like its from a used garage sale, the carpet is not even installed correctly and pretty bad, the plaster work on the walls is horrendous, the curtains had burn marks in them, the TV was broken, tiles were mistached in shower and bathroom, grout has mold, the tiles were also broken and chipped. Basically, everything is broken in some fashion. The fly tape on the ceiling, well its there because there is a fly problem, which kept me awake... It screams stingy owner... If you want to get the feel of a still operating 50s hotel in havana cuba, this place is basically that. I would recommend not going here unless you really just dont care. 2 stars because everything "works", had something not it would be 1.

We had asked for a spot the day before and we were accommodated at the Resort Park Rate. The gentleman in the office was pleasant and efficient. However, the site we were given still had the guest from the night before sitting in it. No problem though as we were given another site. Easy in and easy out with lots of places to eat around the park. The only negatives are there are lots of permanent residents in the park so not everyone is a traveler. However, pull-thru sites seemed to be just those going thru Patterson. We would definitely use this park again if traveling thru.

((MAYBE NOT EVERYONE, they didn't love our new edge hahaha)) We proceeded to leave, there was small safety course away from the event, (where most take their teens to learn to drive safely away from traffic..if your a Patterson native like we are !! ) ANYWAYS While we drove through the CONED safety course, with narrow turns behind a FULL SIZE 4 DOOR LONG BED, ((might I add)) this truck comes barreling over to us!! OH don't forget the gate kid didn't bother to say we couldn't be there but watched! The SAME SUNGLASSED woman driving (BUT NOW there was man in the back ), the windows were down and they are screaming at us before getting close enough for us to even hear what they are saying !! Instead of politely saying we would appreciate if you didn't drive over here.. NO it was screams of "NOT COOL" and body language as if she was about to jump out of that truck and throw a punch!
