Unlike many other pain clinics in West Michigan, this one offers compassionate and enlightened medical care. This isn't your typical assembly-line pain practice as most others clearly are. The majority of local pain doctors are merely anesthesiologists by training, while Rahimi is a physiatrist. It was so loud and chaotic and the PT had the door open so I asked for it to be shut so I could hear him. He asked me what my doctor had gone over with me on what to expect before the surgery. I told him. He reiterated those same things. I asked a few basic questions that he couldn't help me with, like as a female how do I go to the bathroom and what side should I get into and out of bed if it is my left hip being replaced. It lasted 35 minutes and they charges me $561. I left there and went next door to Hulst Jepsen. Got personal immediate attention, it was quiet, and they charged me half for the same appointment. I also have worked with Anna, Carolyn, and others and all of them are very knowledgeable. The front desk with Aubrey and Keshia are so fantastic. It really showed how great and helpful they are when patients had to check in with the very impersonal kiosk. So glad that is gone and we are back to having "live" help at the desk. So much more efficient! I really enjoy going to therapy at CPR because of the great people working there and how knowledgeable they are!

I'm pretty sure Mary Free Bed is the newest YMCA to open in the Grand Rapids area. It has been open since December, 2015 and still has that "new car smell". Facilities and locker room are squeaky clean and equipment is always in good repair. Staff is friendly and responsive-always helpful. This location seems to have it all-multiple basketball, pickle ball courts, track, two pools, all types of classes, equipment and weights of all types. There also seems to be quite a bit of redundancy with the equipment-no matter how busy, you can always find what you need to exercise with. Our membership allows us to use YMCA's all over the United States. Having done this in many other locations, I'm really thankful Mary Free Bed is my "home" YMCA. From equipment variety to cleanliness-Marty Free Bed comes out on top.

Half of my visits I end up having to leave before work I finish workouts. Way too many young women in yoga shorts and pants that are beyond belief. It's not a strip club? Tired of seeing way to much of it. Makes you wonder what they will wear in a year. I like women but I don't understand what is their goals. There is nothing often no staff in work out area. I had my car blocked in and one time asked greeters for help. They all said they had no chance idea what to do. They actually said they need to ask the facility director. Finally the facility director came along. She didn't say hello or introduce her self. I've never seen her in the gym part. She could do her job from another state. She's as friendly as a cornered honey badger. I complained to a Y exec. She said I could guit and I'd not need to pay a fine. It's not a gym for serious workouts or anyone who doesn't like silly fools on cell phones who do a set every 5 to 10 minutes. It's clean and new. Too bad it's not able to stop cell phones. After each set 1 5 to 10 min on Facebook or Amazon trying to buy skimpier pair of shorts. Honestly the place is a sick joke on real workout people

The average wait time…read moreafter pushing the call button is 45 to 1 hour (not exaggerated) and the place is not packed with people, the food is the worst food I have ever had, the TV's are 1 for every two people, they put 4 people in one room, the building needs to be rennovated BADLY, the furniture is falling apart, and the night staff had terrible attitudes. If a Social Worker tells you this is the only place your insurance will accept, don't believe them. Grand Rapids and surrounding area has many rehabilitation places. Good luck if you ignore this warning....
