They had the same funny signs as the pubs in Los Angeles, but played live Puerto Rican music. This place is famous for making good long islands and the drinks are super cheap. It gets sweatingly crowded in here even though the two story pub fits a couple billiard tables, several bars, a live band on stage, a huge dance floor, and another room for more tables. This place is not a tourist spot. If you don't look like a native Puerto Rican, expect to get mean stares from the local gals as I and my group of girlfriends did. Although we minded our own business, my girlfriends experienced some harsh we-don't-want -your-kind-here stares along with lots of not-so-accidental pushes and shoves on the dance floor. The drink was great and reasonably priced, but it felt like a weird vibe to be solo at a place so dark and which felt like a couple's place and/or you needed to be with buddies to feel safe or comfortable. Bolognese pasta. This wasn't horrible. It was solidly OK. The complaint on the food was that the sauce was so very salty. Half as much salt would be perfect. It came with tostones on the side. Dinner Meals came out 10 minutes apart from each other. Means one of use has to have an extremely cold meal or eat alone. Then when steak was uncooked it was 20 minutes apart. How is this ok and normal? I'm not sure they understand that this takes away from the dinner experience. Why not plan appropriately to bring dishes together ? Miscellaneous -Bathrooms were out of toilet paper and paper towels. After informing the waitress, nothing happened and never saw anyone go to change these things. -There's a chirping from a battery operated smoke detector going off in background. -Flies noticeable around the place. Overall I hope it's better other times if the day. We went early for dinner around 5pm. The appetizers were fresh. Maybe I had the wrong things. Appetizers and drinks were the best part.
