He spent the last week of his life here and was treated with dignity, care, and respect. I noticed that the hospital staff (or volunteers) had crochet butterflies with a short prayer attached to them. The butterflies were placed on his pillow and chest. He looked peaceful. The receptionist at the front desk was sweet and pleasant. She took a photo of all visitors for the temporary badge. The hospice is located in a very peaceful setting, overlooking Long Island Sound. This was actually America's first hospice. The interior was a bit outdated, but the outside view was beautiful and serene. Rest In Peace, David Kniess.

Out of the 3 months, the Aide was here 10 times. When questioned, I was told there was a problem. My parent had no Aide for the entire month of September. When she became in-patient, giving me Respite, I was contacted 3 days in a row. I was asked questions on how to handle my parent. Isn't this Hospice? Shouldn't they know how to handle a dementia patient???? The nurse schedule changes, no consistency. I'm so disappointed in the non-services of CT Hospice.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and the safety and efficacy of such injections is unknown with the proven proximity of MS lesions. I checked, and still do check, the medical literature about this issue but can't find any solid information. But with certain orthopedic injuries, trigger point injections are a good idea, but not with MS. I liked Dr. Sood as well as his staff; if I knew the wait time had improved AND if I knew I'd be medicated as has proven effective, I'd return.
