First time here for shampoo cuz hotel has teeny bottles.
Gail U.

6-25-22 An experience at best like a Southern California version of Daiso. I seem to use the small bottle of hotel shampoo to wash my hands so this store called our name after leaving the Vietnamese neighborhood of Westminster after our pho dinner. Many unknown brands but we settled on two large 3 in 1 bottles for shampoo, body wash and hand soap with a name we recognized: VO5. We saw a handwritten sign in Spanish saying product known to cause cancer in California. Yikes! But what product? There were two rows of products on that aisle. Nevertheless we stood in line behind a local family with their chihuahua cuddled in the arms of a hooded big guy. The friendly cashier rang us up and off we went back to our hotel. After I showered Doc remarks, you smell like a man. Hope that meant in a good way. We had a good chuckle.

Jungkook TinyTan Qposket from Viva Bargain! Treasure hunt!

Sometimes you will find rare, random things at this place. It is like a treasure hunt. I was lucky because yesterday I got a TinyTan of Jungkook from MicDrop album, which the original brand (QPosket) I went online and search and saw that in other website the price is $59 and on Amazon, which from another brand it is like $15+, guess how much I paid for my doll? $7.99!!!!! How lucky, and I even got the one my cousin loves the most too. Yeah I wish there was more so I could get all the members!

Does this mean you can buy just the balloon? :o

For the most part its cheap knock offs or poorly made items BUT you will find some random surplus items that needed to be liquidated that are a hidden gem. In the past, I've found playschool bath toys which are still being sold at Target, a really nice quality mop brush (for grilling) and these Star Wars coloring packs for kids that run for $7 at Michael's. Great place for stocking stuffers or party favors! They also have a great selection of party supplies and stationary for kids. The markers are ok if you are not a hard core doodler. My 3 y/o has gotten quite a bit of mileage from them & they haven't dried out yet! I typically avoid the toiletries and baby supplies but to each their own. Both of those I'd rather spend a little more to ensure the US safety standards are met. Sorry to judge!

My favorite dime shop atm. Has all my favorite beauty supplies and household necessities. Rarely are they out of my staples like dove shampoo body wash or the off brand 5 blade razors. Got my locks for the gym here. Random clothes too like a swim suit for a couple bucks. Would've been 30+ at the mall or target. Name brands galore here and the best generics. Can get a lil busy so if u can, avoid coming after 8pm to not overload the cashiers.

This is one of the largest dollar plus stores I've ever been to! They have clothes, makeup, party supplies, party favors (even specialty items for baptisms and showers), food, baby stuff, gift bags, kitchen supplies, household items plants, etc. Such great variety! Most items are a dollar but they do sell other items (clothes, stuffed animals) for over a dollar. However, be prepared for complete mayhem if you go on weeknights or weekends! They usually have huge lines and only 2 registers going at a time. They also have a shelf in the front where you gotta leave bags as they do not allow them in the store due to theft (not cool!). The girls in the register are unfriendly and doesn't even bother to greet customers and just get people in and out as quickly as possible. It's always packed and every aisle is messy and crowded with people. By nighttime, store is dirty & disheveled. Even though they have a lot of good stuff, the "black Friday" feel to it is enough to keep me away. I always try dollar tree or 99 cents only store first and come to this store only as a last resort.

Yikes! I hate to 1-star anything, but even for a dollar store, this one was extremely underwhelming. Viva Bargain Center shares the same parking lot as Target, and it was an easy place to pop into one afternoon. I came in trying to find Disney autograph books for my daughters and also to check it out since there are no dollar stores where I live in Honolulu. You can for sure find some really good deals on jars, kids toothbrushes, hair tools, etc; but know that most of the goods are off brand, cheap knock offs. It's also really dirty in the store and as a completely OCD person, I just can't deal. Hope your experience is better than mine!

Forget Disney, I'm getting my gear here from now on!
Paul G.

It's ghetto, but they've got some great stuff here. I wish we had one in Orlando. Before you pop into Target next door, take a walk through here. You might find what you're looking for.

While some shelves have signs showing higher prices, many items are not individually labeled, which led me to assume they were still $1. I didn't realize until after I checked out and received my receipt that every single item I purchased was more than $1 (most were $1.25 or $1.50). That may not seem like much, but if you're shopping at a dollar store, you're likely on a tight budget (as I was). Clear pricing on shelves and/or individual items would really help prevent people from overshooting their budgets, especially those who don't shop here regularly. They also sell items priced at $5 or $7, but given the overall Dollar Tree-level quality, those items don't really seem worth the price. As most Dollar Tree locations, the store appears very chaotic and messy, and the cashiers appear overworked and underpaid. This particular location was noticeably more rundown than other locations I've visited. I'd give this place 2.5 stars if I could, just because it wasn't completely terrible. I was able to find most of the things I had written down on my shopping list. The checkout line moved at a pretty good pace, and they even opened up a second line when there were too many people in the first line.

I had been wanting stainless steel kitchen scissors, but I refuse to pay the $20 price I had been seeing in the chain stores. I found a great pair here for less than half that price. The kind that allows you to separate the blades to ensure a thorough washing so there won't be any food bacteria buildup between the blades. I even found, and purchased, some small glass soft boiled egg holders. Who sells those anymore? They each have a removable silicone collar for easy washing. A small detail, but appreciated. I had to walk through the aisles twice to make sure I didn't miss anything because there were so many items to see. And if you can't find what you're looking for, just ask the owners for help. They will be more than happy to help you. So, I found a good selection, fair reasonable pricing, offered by a couple of very fine people. I got what I needed and I supported a local merchant. I'd say that was a win-win.

Whether you're a serious home cook or just enjoy discovering useful gadgets, this place is definitely worth a visit.

They've been around for awhile and have their established sources for discounted items. The stuff they carry is truly unique in today's market. It's not the overstock merchandise you see from large retailers like Amazon. In fact, their business model has been probably around longer than Amazon's mega footprint. We need to keep these mom & pop stores! I needed a a poop bag holder for our dog's leash. They had several to choose from. I didn't expect to find high quality men's skincare products. Their pricing is a fraction of what you'd pay elsewhere. I stocked up! I bought a handful of other things too. These impulse purchases will come in handy. As an added bonus everything in the store was 20% off today. Easy parking and kind staff. Unbeatable deals. What's not to like?!

If you see something you want you have to buy it as they won't restock from the back and often it's a one or two of a kind item. Many items are amazon returns and store close outs - some name brand and some unknown or store brands. You often have to read the white tag on the box as they are taped shut. If you want to see something in a box just ask the staff, they generally will open it for you. I get many of my health products there - like antacids, cold/allergy, hair dye, and anti-aging skin care.
