My tech. was sloppy, unprofessional, unkept, and provided poor services. Her nails weren't polished (just natural) which is fine, but they were dirty. It could have been hair dye underneath, but they looked dirty. ??? We had pedicures first. They sat on the floor!!! I've been to many schools for treatments & NEVER had my tech on the floor. It was very uncomfortable for me to put my feet on her knee - as well as tacky. The whole experience was "low rent"! If you were at home with a friend, maybe you'd sit on the floor - but this is supposed to be a school teaching them to behave professionally!!?? The massage part was pathetic. On to the manicures.... They rolled up the tables to us - never plugging in the lamps to see properly & do a good job. Every time she leaned in to work on a nail her shadow made it dark & hard to see - hence my very poor nail polish job. It's terrible! She didn't dress the table properly - my nieces tech put the towels in her table set up as instructed providing good support for her clients wrists during the service. I had to ask for a towel to fold up under my wrist for proper support. My tech talked a lot - and when she talked she stopped working. Very uncomfortable & awkward - although I think she was oblivious to how I felt. She talked so much that she skipped the massage. As she started applying polish I looked over at another person & she was getting a hand & arm massage and I said to my tech - isn't a massage included with a manicure? Ugh!!! I also was very dissaopointed in the teacher. She never inspected her work or asked me how my experience was and if I was satisfied or had any feed back. What's going on here? Not much teaching on professional behavior & appearance! I will not go back. I'm sticking with Empire on Goodwin St.! I also asked the technicians about facials. I asked if they did European or Spa facials with the steam, etc., etc. They didn't know. I've looked on their website after my visit & see that they do have them along with many other services I would have liked with my mani-pedi, but wasn't offered or informed of. Such as a more moisturizing manicure for the same price, nail art - that I even mentioned to my tech that I liked but since she said nothing I assumed they didn't offer it. It was just a bad experience and the best way to describe it was very low rent. I've had wonderful, luxurious treatments at Empire & other schools over the years. This place needs to improve tremendously!

I came here to have my hair dyed and to have a pedicure. I've never had a problem in the past…read morehaving it professionally dyed, done at home, or done at a school. The student doing my services seemed a little unsure even when I pointed out the exact shade I wanted in the book. She had consultations with her instructors several times. The end result wasn't even close to good. Many of the areas had almost no color change, with some chunks showing some color change, but no where near what I had asked for. (I have light brown hair naturally and I was looking for a deep reddish purple tone.) After it was done processing and she had shampooed it out, the instructors consulted outside and then came back in the building. They said that it just hadn't worked and that they wanted me to come back next week for a treatment and a re-do, but that I would have to come earlier than my schedule allowed. They also said I would have to come twice, one day for the treatment and the next day for the color to see if that would fix it. I ended up just dying it at home because I couldn't make it when they were asking me to make it and it came out normal at HOME. My pedicure was very uncomfortable. The student sat on the floor and put my foot on her knee, which was uncomfortable. She didn't really put any effort into the scrub or massage parts. I picked out a polish and she applied it to my toenails, but it was really sloppy. The polish was on my toes a bit in several places and one nail was only partially painted when she said she was done. I was so fed up at this point I simply said it was fine and left. I took the polish off when I got home. Bottom line - Everything from start to finish was sloppy. The facility doesn't really have a good area for doing pedicures and lacks equipment to make it comfortable for the clients. There is NO way that I will return.

Student Rey 10/10!…read more The Studio was easy to book a service at by phone. The front desk attendant spoke to me right away and got me in Rey's chair in within a few minutes. The students all looked occupied and kept the space clean. the teachers were doing hands-on work and were very nice. Rey was AMAZING! She really heard what I wanted my haircut to be and took extra care from the wash to the final product. She wasn't too talkative, but did answer all my questions and made me feel relaxed. She was focused and seemed to care. I enjoyed my service and the ease! Thank you Rey! I hope others will give student learning services a chance, it's great for them and even better for your wallet! My haircut was $15!

coming from a former student, i attended this school for about 4 months before i dropped because it…read morewas too confusing and draining but not in the academic way. The teacher i had was great. She always answered my questions and was great at educating. It was specifically financial aid and students whom were the reason i dropped this school. The girls in this school are absolutely draining, every single day there was drama (which was expected in a school of 99% girls) but it wasn't just the students, the teachers, the staff- literally everyone always having drama to talk about. And coming from someone who had a bad high school experience, it just felt like i was back except it was women of all ages. Trying to stay motivated to come to school was a struggle when i hear all the other girls complaining and whinnying about coming to a school THEY signed up for. They were never pleased with anything. Any activities the staff wanted to do (although were never coordinated correctly EVER) the students just complain. I also joined October of 2025 , my first day was i guess mid way semester and was most confusing as ever. no one told me what to do, where anything was, where to go. there was no guidance from anyone and it was exhausting having to ask where everything was every 5 minutes. no one told me about procedure cards, remaking paper or physical tests or other side work until i picked up on it about a month in and had to ask myself. Finally, when i had enough of this i dropped January of this year, i went through about 5 different people just to figure out who i could get dropped through. explained to why to all of them (til this day had no clue why i had to do that) then finally reached "Financial Aid" Katie. she told me about the fees and what so, i agreed. Obviously still had to pay them some amount of money but i was not expecting to pay them almost $4K for the 4 months i came to class. This was not the cherry on top. I look into my fafsa account and see I owe TSAOB $2k ON TOP of the $4k. Me and my mom are panicking thinking they are trying to take even more money from us, not putting the $4k into the system. I try calling the school, no one answers. I text Katie asking for a email copy of receipt, (image 1) she leaves me on seen. mind you i just left her office that day. I keep trying to call the company, the school but im not getting answers from anyone for about a week. I call their office they say Katie will get back to me in the next day, two weeks go by i call again, they say she will get back to me, another week goes by. I decided to go TO the school with my mom. We have a short discussion with katie and she offers to have a "phone call"??. We obviously say no because this is an in person discussion. She says she will email my ledger and text me to set an appointment. going onto (image 2) I once again have to message this lady because me and my mom are stressing thinking they stole our money. Ms.Katie does not send my ledger till later that week and ONLY sent it because my mom called the office and told her to get back in touch or else we would go above them. At last me and my mom can compare documents JUST TO FIND OUT they were not stealing money. Katie offered to set an appointment and to this day has still not responded. This school worried me and my mother for three months thinking they just wanted more money. If only Ms.Katie had sent me my recipes the first time we asked none of this stress would've happened. I would've never attended this school if i knew all of this would happen. But then again, this is my experience. (Allegedly.)
