I went to this business 06/29/24 & I never experienced negative energy here before (Ive came here from high school 2015 til now). No one greeted me and it was ONLY ONE OTHER CUSTOMER there. It wasn't busy. I simply wanted a pedicure & my NATURAL nail frenchie. Looking at the Pedi Deluxe deal it was $45. This older lady started my pedicure with STRAIGHT HOT water and was being really rough cutting my cuticles! MY TOES WERE THROBBING AND BLEEDING! Keep in my mind, my Frenchie was 5$ + $10 shellac polish.... but when I told this lady I didn't want any additional color ... she TRIED to add an extra 5$ so I said NEVER MIND!!! She seemed mad so she pretty much rushed! As im leaving, my feet is still rough! Toes ugly and a little irritated And she didn't offer me to pay... she just clean the area and left me there. Love Love Love this place for 2 exact reasons: 1) super close to my house 2) they do shellac only! So it's super cheap! I've been getting shellac French tip and a pedicure here for over a year now! okay so i read reviews ab places in new areas and i was very hopeful for this salon. i was the only person in the salon, no biggie but got me to thinking. i go in for your basic dip powder session. the dremel tool was wayyyyy too coarse and hurt then she starts filing away. im no nail tech but i do watch the process. this lady didn't dip my nail in the base coat white powder before the 2-3 layers of color powder. the final look was nice. maybe a little too squared but over all fair. hence the 2 stars. BUT here i am not even a week later, with chipped nails. $40 poorer. just go spend the extra money. read more

Had my first pedicure from Viva Nail and it was WONDERFUL! Anna did a fabulous job cleaning up my feet and using the microplaner on my heels and soles so that they'd be smooth. I paid extra for more massage time and it was wonderful. She was very thorough and painted my toes well too. They then let me sit in the massage chair and read my book at least another 30 minutes. Definitely recommend! My usual place's service had declined so this is my new one! read more

She only apologized only after I told her I no longer wanted tips or dip because I didn't want to put that on a nail that was broken more than halfway through the length of my nail. Every time I come here they are really nice and pause after every step to make sure that I'm satisfied. I got the shellac in #161 (price is now $15)! It's definitely more transparent than what you see on the sample, so go with a darker/opaque color if you're wanting a nude/natural nail! I did have to ask multiple times to have my nails shaped round instead of square, and still ended up with more of a square shape. It still looks good, just not what I was picturing. Overall the customer service was good and she did a nice job of cuticle care and paint, so I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I took a buddy here yesterday for his first pedicure experience and we left without disappointment. The staff was very friendly and receptive...especially for two big guys! It was only $20 for a pedicure, best price I have encountered in my short pedicure history. (For those curious I don't get my nails painted, just do the soak and foot massage and the weird looks I get from women in there are worth it!) I will definitely be going back to Viva because of the price and the very friendly staff and I would encourage you to do the same!! ...especially if you are a guy, you gotta try it at least once before you bash it, then you'll know what I'm talking about! read more

Went in here with my sister right after I moved to CS (a week or so ago). Nothing fancy here- in fact when I walked in I kind of questioned whether I wanted to be there or not but in the end I was impressed. I got a pedicure & my tech was slow and meticulous about getting my toes looking perfect. My sister got a regular manicure that looked amazing. The staff was so nice & very friendly. There was a guy working there that was just a riot to listen to. Did I mention they're cheap? OMG so cheap! Bottom line: great service, ok location, nice staff, cheap & convenient Wasn't a fan of the polish choices but next time I'll just bring my own- for the price I can buy my own OPI and bring it with me. read more

Totally sad about my experience. My boyfriend was getting his hair cut next door so I decided to try getting my eyebrows cleaned up (not totally waxed off...). My eyebrows hurt like hell instead of the usual pinch, and when I asked to have a manicure and color I ended up with a really crumby paint that chipped and smudged within minutes of being told that it was done drying. Viva Nails is only good at doing shellac. I got white tip acrylic nails and when I washed my hands for the 2nd time at home, I had so air bubbles or something similar. They also messed up my toenails, they fixed it twice and they still did a bad job and he didn't want to fix it because it was too late and had to close the business. read more

Since they put the sign up, the parking lot has been packed because this is at least $10 cheaper than any other place I've looked into. I decided to try them last night and I was so pleased. Jerry did a great job and took over an hour to do my shellac french manicure and I was so happy when he finished. It looks great! I was skeptical that it might not be so great because it was so much less expensive than the other places, but I'm impressed. Yea for Viva Nail!! read more

I went here after reading such great reviews and I partially agree. It came out about 7-8 dollars cheaper for a full set and pedicure but I also feel like corners were cut for that. My full set was done very very slowly and he made sure everything matched, but what I didn't like about it is the acrylic is extremely thinly laid. If I accidentally bump my nail somewhere it will pop off, I much prefer a little bit more thickness. I also at one point asked him to correct something on one thumb nail that was really off from the other and he interrupted me and said "just turn your hand just turn your hand" and I thought "okay maybe he already knows" and shut up...but I had to ask again and after attempting to correct it I just let it go and fixed it when I got home. It was not a bad acrylic by any means. They look very pretty, but I feel like a few things could be tweaked to make the experience a lasting one, and not one where I'd have to return three days later to fox the nail at charge. Speaking of returning to get something fixed, two ladies came in just while I was sitting there and asked for something to be fixed, and though this could 100% be the customers error, it was the attitude of the staff that put me off; the World Cup game was on and they really didn't seem to want to be bothered. Now on to my Pedicure. This was not a spa pedicure by any means. He put my feet in cold water, and immediately proceeded to push back and clip my cuticle with was in cold water for about 5 milliseconds so it hurt like the dickens. This has got to be the worst (pain wise) pedicure I've ever gotten. No tending to any nail length, he filed them a little and that's it. The leg massage was the same as any other place. I am quite disappointed with the pedicure experience but my toes aren't horrible overgrown forests so it turned out nicely paint wise. They are very chatty of you look sociable, which apparently I did that day and I like meeting and taking to new people, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, I just couldn't understand most of what this man was saying to me. I of course nodded and tried my best but, oh well. Anyway, this is a decent place that doesn't look like much from the outside or inside but they so a good job. Maybe if he wasn't distracted it would have been different I don't know. I'm undecided if I will return. It got the job done and done pretty well. So depending on how long the full set and pedi last will determine that. read more

I LOVE VIVA NAIL. Was this the most indulgent pedicure I've ever had? No. Was my set of acrylics totally flawless? No. But the prices are second to none and they absolutely do a great job. Just don't go looking for perfection. I really love Viva Nail for their atmosphere however, and this is why I rated them five stars. They have Christian music playing in the background, and the place is clean, despite the run-down look of the outside. What made me decide to never go anywhere else however, was their customer service. They're SO friendly. On top of that however, I have a palsy (lots of nerve damage) in my left hand that makes movement a little difficult at times. My manicurist Tom was so kind, and so polite, I felt totally comfortable with him working on my nails, which has NEVER happened. There was no awkwardness! I had been here numerous times to get my eyebrows waxed because they do a good job, however yesterday afternoon I called around 6:55, asking if I could come in for a quick wax. They said it would be absolutely no issue, and for me to come in. Proceeding this, i came in and waited FOURTY MINUTES after they had told me there was a two minute wait. Three women were also getting their waxing done and the man I spoke with had not mentioned that they would be busy or not have time for me. After almost an hour, I decided to leave because it really wasn't worth it anymore. If they didn't have time to attend me, they shouldn't have told me to come in. read more

It's worth spending a little more money to get treated by people that actually care. Terrible! I chose this salon based on the high praise it has collected here on Yelp. To start, it is dirty. Second-there is only one type of pedicure listed on their very large and conveniently displayed price list-located right by the reception/hostess stand. It reads "spa pedicure $18.00". Although I was disappointed in the lack of choices, I thought surely if they only offer one it has to be good. Yeah, about that spa pedicure. I was in that chair for 12 minutes. Total. There was nothing spa about it, except for the fact that I wasn't sitting in a rolling office chair with my feet in a bucket. The lady clipped my nails - crooked, trimmed my cuticles, quickly used the cheese grater thing on my heels, and put lotion on my feet only. Her paint job was just ok. No drying station-I was told to sit in the chair for ten minutes. Fine. After my ten I went to pay and the same lady who performed my "spa pedicure" said to me in a meek but clear voice, $20.00. I looked at her, turned my head to the right and looked at the giant sign, and asked her to repeat herself. $20.00 she said. With a smile. I pointed over my shoulder and said "that sign is wrong". She then explained to me that because she removed a callus off of my heel the price is higher. WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY???? You mean to tell me a quick nail trim and paint is what you call a spa pedicure? I've had feet in the tub pedi's that were more involved than that! I about lost my cool. I went to argue, but knew there was no point. I gave her my card and as she was about to swipe it she asked me if I was going to tip. Oh my aching ass... No. No tip for you, ma'am. NO. I left and started this review in the parking lot. Bad. Bad. BAD. I've lived in the Bryan/College Station area for five years, and I have yet to find a decent place for a pedicure. Don't even get me started about nails. I drive an hour to Tomball at least once a month for nails because no one can do them like Rachel and Tony at Flamingo Nails. I guess I'll just keep driving. I always come here to get my underarms waxed because the lady does a good job. However, I came to get my underarms waxed and waited here for an hour and a half while a girl who came in after me got to go before me. I then asked the lady if I could just go super quick since I've been waiting so long and she said I had to wait.
