This review is a little hard to write because the ladies at this establishment are SO sweet and accommodating and wonderful! They have great service and were extremely friendly! The massages were really good and so the services that we got were great. The prices are fair. The rooms are very relaxing. But the downfall was that only 1 of the employees wore a mask the whole time. The receptionist did not wear one, the person I assume was the boss did not wear one, and my sisters masseuse did not wear one. Once we went back to our rooms I went out and kindly asked if it was possible for our massage therapist to wear a mask while massaging us because we were uncomfortable and they did and were very accommodating. Afterwords my massage therapist went on and on about how safe she is trying to be and how serious she is taking Covid as a massage therapist and I couldn't tell if she was trying to prove that she was serious or that the company was serious but I know it was to calm me. We are from a pretty liberal town and so I know that everywhere back home masks are still required but this was a shock that we were the only two people aside from the one worker to wear a mask, especially in a salon where before Covid some massage therapist wore masks for sanitary reasons. I feel that in a place where you are supposed to relax and while Covid is still a very real problem, if there is a sign on the door that says that guest are required to wear a mask then so should the employees. We just didn't feel very safe when we were close to unmasked people and we came to relax and feel good. I won't go here again until there is herd immunity BUT when Covid is not a problem anymore I would consider it since the service was so good and I absolutely loved my massage therapist. read more

Got a groupon for two refresher mani-pedis here! Went in for my first time and had a sweet new girl fresh out of Cosmo school. The French mani was 1 star- squiggly arch, white lines in the clear coat, sandy top coat. The massages for both mani and pedi were.. Gentle. No pressure = no callus removed. Took 2 hours for what the website says to be a 50 min job. I expressed how unhappy I was about my nails and Kim, a very experienced lady who does it all (must be managerial), pretty much took it all off and redid it in 10 mins. 5 star level. I'm probably never going to go again. It was such a waste of time, and there are plenty of other nail places. I also called about getting eyelash extensions and Neil was very rude about me wanting L-curl lashes. He said I was trying my best to describe something I don't know much about but I should just go in and trust them. Though I don't know much, I'm pretty damn sure L-curl is universal. Every LICENSED lash tech that I've come across knows what I mean, so this place sketches me out. Crap service, crap nails, crap pricing (overpriced). GO ELSEWHERE! read more

I've been coming here to get my brows waxed since 2014 and have always had a pleasant experience. However, today I got my brows waxed and a large bald spot was made on my left eyebrow and they waxed the edges too short. Not the end of the world because I can always fill it in, but I am EXTREMELY disappointed in how Medi Spa and Salon handled it. They tried telling me that the spot was there before having my brows waxed even though 1) I've been coming here for almost 5 years and have never had this problem before and 2) I'm pretty sure I know what my eyebrows look like on a daily basis and I also have pictures from before proving that I don't normally have a bald spot. I then received a call back after expressing my grievances only to have Kim argue with me the whole time saying it was there from the start and how she "usually points out bald spots on clients but for some reason didn't point it out on me" (BECAUSE IT WAS NOT THERE) This is unprofessional and is no way to treat a customer of half a decade. I will be finding somewhere else to get my eyebrows waxed, hopefully they'll own up to their mistakes a little better. read more

Minus one star. I arrived for my hair appointment. Waited for an hour, and was told the stylist wasn't even there & wasn't answering her phone. Before I was given that information, the young lady working the front desk (and drinking wine) wanted me to pay in advance so she could close out her shift. I told her no, I wasn't even sure how many highlights, I would need, how much the tip would be, etc. Another employee finally called the owner, who was apologetic and said if I rescheduled with another stylist I would be offered some king of discount or compensation, which I did appreciate. But the more I thought about it, I decided to take may business to a more professional establishment. read more

My husband bought me a package.The massage I got from Dolly was THE BEST I've ever had. She is awesome! Vahn (pronounced like Vaughn) did my nails and they looked great. The esthetician that took care of me was as friendly as she could be, super nice and seemed to really care about her work, but when I left I had hair in several places and it grew back so quickly. Do not go here for make up! I am currently crying because I paid $100 for makeup that looks like a child put on me...my eyebrows are horrible, my false lashes are falling off, my eyeliner wings are thick and uneven and there is ZERO contour when I asked for full contour. I asked for corrections 3 times, but I assume the language barrier was making it difficult. I then called them back to explain the situation and they said they will not give full/partial refunds because "I don't like the makeup." They will touch it up but I told them I am having to fix it because I have senior pictures. I am appalled. read more

I had gotten hair extensions, I completely love them! Lexi is amazing and extremely friendly. The salon is nice and relaxing. My only complaint would be that Medispa & Salon's prices for service and products are extremely on the higher end for being a smaller salon. I don't live in the area so was only able to redeem it today. It really was one of the best massages I've ever had! He will listen to every area of soreness or that needs relief and will try his hardest to give you the best massage possible. This place seems ok for a standard, if somewhat expensive, facial. Customer service was very good. However, I feel the name is a bit misleading, as was the "Services" list. I was up sold a different facial from the one I requested, and the specific problems that this $20 more expensive facial was supposed to address were never mentioned again nor specifically addressed by the special products after I agreed to it. The education/teaching of your skin condition was given in the context of what products you can buy from them that will fix your reported skin conditions and felt a bit "sales-pitchy." Lastly, my 1 hour, "upgraded" facial was 11 minutes shy of an hour. Overall, the facial felt relaxing and my skin feels nice, but I don't feel that I received the full value for my money. I would not go here again, nor would I recommend it. EDIT (May 2, 2014): I am editing my review to relate how impressed I am by the customer service of this place. Soon after I wrote this review, the owner contacted me to address my concerns and to offer a refund or a "do-over." This was very gracious and again, shows their wonderful customer service that I mentioned in the earlier review. I really wanted to write a review about my experience with microneedling here at Medispa with Kim, so other people curious about it could make an appointment with confidence. I was uncertain about trying it and decided I would take a leap of faith, and I'm so glad I did! The entire experience was amazing from start to finish and I am looking forward to my future sessions. Because it is an investment, and one I take seriously, I'm opting to purchase three sessions together. The concept of microneedling is new to me, but I was so happy to learn that Kim has been practicing for many years and was just amazing. She was so thorough and so informative, and we worked together to come up with what would be best for my face. MediSpa did a great job on my wedding hair and makeup. I originally had my trial makeup done by Katrina at a bridal show. After deciding to choose them for my wedding, I signed a contract for an extra trial and wedding day HAMU for me and 5 other ladies. We were paired with Katrina for makeup and Naomi for hair. They did a great job and were so awesome to work with. I gave very minimal instruction on how I wanted my HAMU and they did a great job of figuring out what would look best for me. I am beyond pleased with my ManiPedi! I went in for a girls day with my mom and sister. The customer service was exceptional; when we came in, they offered us something to drink and made sure that we were comfortable. Alejandra did my ManiPedi and she was wonderful! She was professional, polite, and seems to genuinely enjoy what she does. It was a little more pricey than what I'm used to, but I left feeling relaxed and pampered. In my 22 years I've never had that "gotta go back here, I love my hair salon" feeling, until MediSpa. Now I finally understand what all the fuss is about how much woman like getting their hair done and why they look forward to going to appointments.The owners and staff are SO sweet and personable, and really want to build relationships with their clients. I'm a born and bred dark-headed brunette, but have wanted to test out the waters of being a blonde for a while. I've had multiple hair dressers tell me it wasn't possible and that it couldn't be done. I called MediSpa on a Tuesday night, went in for a free consult with Lynn the next day since so many people had been apprehensive about coloring my hair, and by the end of my appointment Friday night Lynn had me a full fledged blonde (I look fabulous, by the way. Just in case you were wondering)! No stripper streaks, orange tinge, brittle ends or any of that business. Lynn takes such pride in her work that I had complete confidence it would turn out great the moment I left my consult wither her. I left MediSpa after she colored/cut my hair with a giant smile on my face (and ladies, I know often times after a big hair change we leave with tears before deciding at home that we actually do like it...so you know a smile is a great sign when leaving a salon). I was Lynn's last appointment for the day, but she was still full of energy and we had so much fun. Kali was nice enough to grace us with her presence and keep us company for a couple of hours after her last cut as well! I've been here multiple times for different services and I can't wait to go back and see Lynn and all the other MediSpa ladies (and Neal!!) P.S. my first public interaction the morning after changing to blonde was at Starbucks. First thing the woman taking my order says is, "Ohh my goodness, why is your hair so beautiful?! Do NOT have hair extensions placed here. 1 month ago I went in to have Micro bead hair extensions put in by Kim Maracchini. After the 6 hours of sitting in the chair, she said she thought that it looked "good enough" and that we didn't need to add the rest of the hair even though I had quite a bit left that she omitted. She spun me around and it looked very uneven and choppy. She insisted that if I got home and still thought that it wasn't blended enough, that I come in and have it "CUT" (my expensive extensions!!) and highlighted. She curled my hair up so it looked nice before I left. When I got home I straightened my hair and it looked HORRIBLE. I called the next morning to make an appointment with my stylist. I sat down with both Kim and my stylist and Kim insisted that I have it cut and highlighted (instead of adding the rest of the hair extensions). $900 later, I got home, and my hair looked even WORSE!! I immediately contacted her that night. I looked like I had the worst mullet anyone has ever seen. I went back in AGAIN and they put in the rest of my hair extensions. It looked much better until I got home and saw that half of the beads were showing on the top of my head. It was super obvious that I had extensions. Everyone kept asking me about it. I finally went into Celebrity Spa and had one of the girls remove the ones that were very visible (about 25!!). It gets worse. Now, after only 1 month of having them in. I recently went to the dermatologist to have my scalp examined because I've been having severe itching and inflammation. She immediately told me it was from the METAL beads holding my extensions in! I had no idea that the "micro beads" had copper or metal in them! I can't wear any earrings with metals other than 14k gold without having a reaction. Before Kim put in my extensions, she should have asked if I had an allergy to any type of metals. I thought the micro beads were plastic! So after all of that and $1500 later, I just had to remove them after only 1 month. I am so disappointed and left with a red, inflamed, and itchy head that I have to take steroids for. read more

I will start by saying I have only been to tis place twice. The first time I went for eyelash tinting and was referred by a friend who had recently visited Medispa. I made an appointment and all went well, which is why I give it two stars. I made a follow up appointment for two weeks later to do tinting again. The day of my appointment, I called and asked if they had a hair appointment available for my son before my eyelash appointment. They told me to come in as soon as I could and they could cut his hair. I get there and the young girl who was supposed to cut his hair seemed nervous and uneducated in this field. She even asked the other hairdresser what level she should use and thoughts on how to get it done. Fortunately, my eyelash appointment was still half an hour from the time I arrived so I could monitor this haircut he was about to get. Not to mention, he is only 11, so I wouldn't leave him alone anyway. Ashley, the girl who was to do my eyelashes comes up and says I need to come back with her now because she had been double booked. She had another client booked at the actual time of my appointment. I told her I needed to be with my son and that my appointment was not for another half hour. She told me that they accepted my sons hair appointment so I could come in earlier due to her being double booked. None of this was mentioned to me over the phone when I had called earlier. No one asked me if I was ok with leaving my son alone in a spa he'd never been to with a hairdresser he didn't know. She then told me that if I couldn't go back with her right then, then she would have to reschedule me!! Instead of calling the other client (who had already cancelled on her and rescheduled at the same time as me) and asking him to come 15 minutes later, she cancelled me 30 minutes before my appointment and told ME to reschedule. During all of this, I look over at the young hairdresser and see her trying to figure out the plugs for her devices and starts to SHAVE the back of his head without putting a cape over him! He has a chunks of hair all over him and he starts itching. He looked so uncomfortable! I decided at that moment to tell him we needed to try somewhere else. I asked her about the protective cape he should have and she said she "totally forgot"..."sorry". Needless to say, we got up and left after a disastrous morning at The Medispa. We went to Chrome and had a successful haircut for him with Danielle. As for my eyelash tinting, I will just use mascara until I can find a spot who handles Customer Service differently. read more

The owner did my makeup for bridal photos and I HATED it. I looked terrible. I called back and the receptionist scheduled me with someone else for a free trial run. Leanna Hale did it for the trail run and my wedding and did a beautiful job. She is sweet and listens to everything you want. I recommend her highly. read more

Two of us went for facial waxing, waited about 20 minutes past our appt. We have gone here before and had excellent results. None of the ladies we have used previously work there anymore. That should have been a red flag. I believe the girl's name was Emily, she got way too close to the hairline. The results were ghastly. Additionally when we left there was wax all over both of our faces that we removed ourselves. We went to a second Salon the next day and had additional waxing done just trying to even up the hairline, it really was a devastating experience. My advice for people in this industry is stick to what you know if you - cut hair well then great -stay away from waxing if you lack those skills. After seeing pictures of Kim's clients in magazines, it was my dream to have her and her crew take care of all of my beauty needs during my wedding. I was so thrilled to find her booth at a bridal show and book her for my wedding. Before the wedding, I had eyelash extensions put on by Kim which were absolutely stunning and totally natural looking. Kim is so professional and very much a perfectionist with her work. Kim and her staff came out to the wedding venue the day of the wedding (and were the first ones to arrive, by the way!) and spent all day doing hair and make-up for my bridesmaids and me. When I had a panic moment as the ceremony was creeping up quickly, and I began to feel rushed and not at all ready, Kim and Lynn (hair stylist) helped to make me feel so calm. Kim did my make up exactly how I wanted, and it was beautiful. All of the bridesmaids absolutely loved their make up as well. She even covered my chest, neck, and arms in the waterproof airbrush make up, making my skin look absolutely flawless. It even stayed that way for the first few days of my honeymoon! Lynn was so patient with me and allowed me to be ridiculously picky about my hair without making me feel bad for it, even though I did! She ended up styling my hair exactly like I wanted it. If there is any day where you want to feel like you are the most beautiful you've ever been, it is your wedding day. Thanks to the folks at MediSpa and Salon, I felt absolutely amazing during the entire evening. I was confident, calm, and able to enjoy every moment. If you are considering make up artists for your wedding or any special event, this is the place to go. I will forever be grateful for their services during such an exciting time in my life. I went to Kim many years ago at A Wild Hair Spalon for permanent makeup (brows, eyeliner, full lips). I have had lips and lipliner done before (in Houston) that lasted several years. This job was mediocre at best, though she is basically a nice person. It hurt a lot more than last time (i have been told i have a high pain tolerance) and kept having to ask her to wait a minute. She told me that the brows were dark (i asked for dark brown she gave me black) because they would fade some. Right. They faded in about 3-4 months to gray (i have been told since then that using too black a color causes this which I guess she doesnt know). She had to re-do my lips 3 times and the color never stayed more than a week. I did aftercare by the book and the same as my last time doing this. I finally gave up because it was the definition of insanity to keep having the pain without having the results. Every time I think about how much I spent, I get pissed off.
