My salesman, Ivan, was awesome, as was the dealer for my purchase of a new 2025 Nissan Kicks SR AWD in beautiful Arctic Ice Blue from Viva Nissan in El Paso, TX. Ivan is the very best salesman I have ever dealt with in my over the 50 years of new car buying, and the purchase of my 5th Nissan, and 2d Kicks. Viva Nissan gave me a discounted price from the MSRP price, online through the Navy Federal Credit Union's "True Car" program and stuck to it. Ivan didn't add a bunch of extra charges beyond the MSRP that I didn't want, like the other dealers did. I had previously received a non discounted price from a different dealer through the Nissan Buy@Home program, but the dealer would not honor the price. He added over $2,000 in charges, ignored the Nissan deal and would not use the cheaper sales tax for where I live. Ivan is an excellent, hi responsive, and caring salesman who cut through all the negotiation tactics and games that other dealers use. He made it possible for me to do everything online or over the phone. Then, he drove about 65 miles one way and delivered the car to me at my home. So I take my car in and drop it off on 7/5/23 with a scheduled appointment at @7am. Drop it for a diagnostic review of a code found. So far so good as the service advisor tells me it will be a day. I don't think anything of it. The next day comes and I'm out running errands and still no call so my wife suggests I go stop by and check in on it. I do that and speak to my service advisor who promptly tells me oh they are barely going to check it! Barely! It should have been checked the day before. This was around 3:30 pm when I went by. They then call me at about 5:30 & tell me it needs a new air filter and to get some pressure cleaning of the system done which will run around $400+. I tell them no thank you, that I will take care of it, and call it a day. Friday comes and they then call me at about 4:30 asking if I'm going to pick up my car but my wife and I are on the Westside. I was going to go pick it up Sat but decided to just go and get it done with. The service advisor just charged me and handed over my car without telling me what they found. Had a major transmission leak, towed to this dealership. Spoke to "Jesse" an on duty service writer. A couple hours later, the car was fixed! Apparently a hose clamp broke causing fluid to pour all over the under carriage of the car. The mechanic replaced the hose clamp, added fluid and cleaned up the mess. Then they washed the car and was ready to be picked up. The cost was acceptable for our situation while traveling, but the guys at Viva could had really stuck us with a huge bill and we would not had a choice but to pay it! She Sent images and videos so close a deal. We couldn't find a mutual ground on Finance and I was going to pay VIVA NISSAN cash with a cashiers check, Sold my car and money I saved, to just refinance the vehicle once I came back to CA . Andrew Arrellano changed from a Deposit of $500 to a deposit of $5000 non refundable. Knowing I would be coming from CA, asked him the info for the deposit at 10:04am on 5/20/20 went initially they were suppose to take on deposit on the 19th, and at 10:51am on 5/20/20 Margarita call me and said the vehicle was sold. Andrew doesn't keep his word. Poor customer service by him. UPDATE: don't go there for maintenance. I had the WORST experience. So the engine light turned on. We took it to the Firestone and they said it was a recall and couldn't fix it so we took it there. When we got there, the guy said there's no recall.... Hmm okay. So why didn't the Firestone charge us $100 for diagnostics?! But whatever. It needs to be fixed. So we waited.. For 6 hours. And they told us they needed to order some parts to fix... You couldn't find that out before making us wait for 6 hours?! They told us to come in on Thursday after 2pm because that's when the parts get delivered. We were charged over $300 for this. Okay, I wasn't upset still at the time. Japanese people always try to treat others nice you know. My husband dropped off the car on Thursday morning. He then got a call during his lunch time that it was ready... Wait a second. The parts were supposed to come in after 2pm right?! It's already fixed? When he picked it up, the engine light was off and it seemed like the problem was fixed. Great. $300 was a lot but it needed to be fixed. ......Yesterday, which has only been 2 days since they fixed it, the engine light turned on. I can't even trust these people anymore. Did they even put the parts on?! They finished fixing way before the parts were supposed to be delivered right?! The parts we paid $300 for. Those guys at the Firestone are professional. Made a credit card payment in June2019 at Viva Nissan that was never sent to Nissan Finance, of $375. On May 11th I made a credit card payment for the tax title and license of $1381 and of $375, a total of $1756. The $375 was to bring the purchase total to $16,600 since they were showing a balance due of $16,975 which was not reflecting a payment I had already made online with Nissan Finance to already bring the balance to $16,600. Alexis Soto the finance employee handling the purchase order said not to worry the payment made at the dealership would be sent to Nissan Finance and they will realize I made a double payment and refund me. As I spoke to Nissan Finance on 5/31/2019 for the last time they said they cannot refund me money they did not receive from the dealership. They only received the check from Bank of America sent of $16,600 which they received on May 20th after Viva Nissan received it on the 15th of May. When I spoke to Viva Nissan for the last time on 05/31/2019, Alexis Soto told me regardless if an error was made they will not be able to send me a refund. He said that is just not the way things work at the dealership. Alexis said no one told him to send the $375 to Nissan Finance as part of the payoff amount so he is not going to send it to them either. Alexis Soto said that I gave a down payment at the dealership, but as I mentioned to him that was noted incorrectly because the amount I paid was to pay for the tax, title, and license that cannot be handled through Nissan Finance and they asked me to go into a dealership so they could work on the tax title and license for me to get the lease buy out completed. The BBB has attempted to reach this business twice and no response. For a business this is unprofessional. I had to drive 10 hours back home and they were willing to let me drive with tires that were so worn out they could of popped and killed me on the road. The "GM" walks around with his vape and they all talk over you constantly throwing in your face "I bought this with my own money" as if it isn't their job to train their salesmen ahead of time to know what they're doing and not lie just to get a sale. ALSO, I've had my car for 3 years and nothing major has happened and the second they had it for a week the door handle broke and they tried to play it off and blame me as if I didn't know my own car. They're a bunch of men who think women don't know anything about cars and they can just lie and do as they please as if I don't do my own research and know how my car works. This place is terrible. We picked up a nice vehicle at a pretty good price but it was all downhill after that. The customer service is awful, and I don't expect much from car dealerships. Viva kept trying to add on charges after we had reached an agreement on a price. After that, we spent all day waiting for them to have our vehicle ready. We heard all types of excuses why our SUV wasn't ready. I could have waited until the next day instead of listening to excuses for several hours. We purchased the vehicle on March 17 and we're still waiting for our paperwork today, March 28. More lies and excuses, they even hung- up on me a couple of times. I'm not sure how this place stays in business. Do yourself a favor and read all the reviews online and ask around before you shop here, regretfully we didn't. When we first got to Viva Nissan we walked around the parking lot for a good 30 minutes or so without any help, which is usually really nice to not get swarmed by salesman but we didn't know where anything was at. We finally ended up asking for help. The first salesman couldn't really speak English so he got someone named Oliver. Oliver was great, he showed me a car I absolutely loved so we started with the paperwork. He said I was approved already but It was taking awhile (which I don't understand because he said they already got the approval from the bank and I also told them I already had approval from capital one so I didn't want to submit my credit to a bunch of different places, but I still got 6 new inquiries on my report from different banks ) anyways we left to eat and do a few things, well Oliver called and said it would have to be tomorrow. We're from New Mexico and thankfully we were already going to spend the night. We go back the next day and we get a different salesman Josue. It really wasn't his fault and apparently his day off which he made very clear. Then Josue comes back and tells me I need $500 more for the down payment, keep in mind I'm already approved?! So I tell him no just give me my check back , the one I already gave the day before. So then he comes back and tells me okay never mind we don't need $500 extra. So after all this and 2 days of trying to get the car, I finally got it. Well I told them I wanted a full tank of gas because of all the BS instead of the 5 gallons so Josue gets in the car and speeds his ass off around the parking lot to wherever the gas pump is. He comes back and I'm going to get in it and I notice I have no floor mats in it, this is a 2019 Nissan Altima so it should have some floor mats. (Later to find out there is a packet with Information about the warranty and a sticky note on top that says "waiting on floor mats") but when I asked him about the mats he said he had no idea. Then the door was still kind of dirty and I asked him I thought this got detailed? And he gave me a bunch of attitude and asked me if I wanted him to get it off... it had no user manual either and the contract I signed stated I was getting it at 7,400 miles but it really had 7,801 miles. Went in looking for a new car for my wife. Told the dude straight up what we would pay etc... He took us right away to a beautiful car and when all said and done he was able to find exactly what fit our needs and budget. We found a Nissan Versa SL that was loaded with all the options. Being japanese and from Japan, my wife loves it as its a japanese car that she knows. Perfect size, navigation, XM radio etc. I love it because it's new, safe, great in gas and has rims. Not fancy rims but I mean it's rims as opposed to hub caps lol. I dunno, that was important to me lol. Insurance didn't go up much at all adding this car. The staff was friendly and really was able to meet our needs. Partly because they were fair, partly because I was very clear on what I would or would not do and I suppose they new I wasn't playing. Here's where the good part comes in, kinda... Check it out: So my wife (again being from Japan) does have an international drivers license, but is not comfortable yet driving on interstate, especially at night. So the salesman offered to drive it home for us, as long as we give him a ride back. I was like heck yea please and thank you. What a nice dude. Well, at no fault of his, the road had a huge while in it, and he hit that hole. Gashed the rear tire, broke the front strut and mount and bearing. Basically, jacked it up. Now then while new, it's a 2013, and in fairness to the dealer, it did say sold as is, as in, no warranty since it's technically a used car, even only 1 yr old. So the minute we drove it off the lot, it was mine. So in a way, although it was the salesman driving it, it was basically just a favor. So I'm like damn. Take it tonGirestone and get an assessment and quote. Then take that to dealership and say hey, this is what happened. Now look, they could've just said tough luck and had me go kick rocks... Which I honestly expected... Instead, they said hey, drop it off here, we will order the parts, so the maintenance, fix it.. And as a dealership, we would like to pay half of the cost. I mean, that's awesome. Their assessment and price total was about the same as Firestone, but they said they would pay half. So obviously I was like you guys got a deal. Why did they help me out? No idea?! But I'm glad they did. Is it a military friendly thing? Well the manager of all maintenance have me his card, and under his name it said Retired 1SG... And I was in uniform so he clearly knew what's up... That made me feel appreciated and good. Retired or not, it's always a good feeling when 1SG helps ya out lol. Overall while it was an unfortunate situation and I did have to pay more (damages) than I had hoped, it all went down well and smooth. Plus they are going to gas it and wash it. Can't complain about that lol. Now my wife and I are not from here nor will we stay. As soon as this is some we are going back to our home in Japan, so buying or leasing cars isn't something we will be doing often. But IF for some reason we do it again, bet money we are going to check out Viva Nissan first. Plus they had a 2006 BMW there for 11 that was hella clean.. I was like omg I'm buying this... Until I was reminded I was there to get my wife a car, not me. And again being japanese, she preferred the newer and smaller Versa SL over the BMW anyways lol. Guess I can't complain huh? This place is ran by the most dishonest group of people I've ever come across. From the salesperson all the way up to the managers. We purchased a car that didn't have the price sticker on it. We relied on the salesperson to tell us the sticker price. They started negotiations at about $4000 above the sticker price. When they were caught, all they could offer was a $30 tank of gas. I will never do any business with any of Viva family of dealerships. I opened a BBB case right after and it never went anywhere, was mysteriously lost. I guess they just don't want to sell vehicles. Two weeks ago we saw the exact make/model and year that we wanted which advertised as being here at Viva. We got a fast response and great service when we first inquired...and then..well...nothing. We were told the vehicle was in recon and not ready to be test driven yet but they would let us know when it was. A couple days later there was some more communication which was basically "wait a couple more days". And now we can't get hold of anyone there, at least not anyone who knows anything or wants to sell us anything. And who knows what happened to the original sales person we talked to, not only can we not get in touch with him, it appears that no one else can either. We were clear from the start that we had cash for the entire sticker price and we weren't even interested in haggling the price. But even if they don't have the exact vehicle they advertised they seem to not want to sell us anything else either. Not one person at Viva even suggested we come in and look at anything else or come and talk to them about other options, and it's still a mystery as to what happened to our original sales person who was great at first but still is not answering phone calls, text messages, nor emails at this point. I love the altima that I bought, and it runs great, but I will never buy another nissan because of the terrible customer service that I experienced here. My paperwork was never sent to me, and even though I went in there several times and spoke with the dealer, they never sent it. I had to call corporate, and even then I didn't get it until the second time. This place cares about you until they close the deal, and then the help is over. They even forgot to replace the lug nuts on my wheels after a tire rotation, and didn't have the pieces when I called. I know other people that have had problems here, and with nissan in general. Kindly do not go to this dealership eventhough if you have warranty cover work. They will come up with stories that does not make sense. I took my 2017 Maxima for front sensor replacement due to malfunction and recevie message on my dash board. Service Manager Mark and Advisor Jessie told me that if warranty does cover than I have to pay $125 for diagnostic, plus part and labor if decide to that route. I did not leave my car and went to different nissan dealership in town very next day. Gues what they replaced the sensor wiht in 2 hours without hassling me about warranty. My car was under warranty for 36k and 3 yrs and had only 26000 miles when I took it. I will not recommend this dealship for anything read more

I went with my daughter a she wanted to try and trade her Altima for a Rouge. We took letter of approval from Nissan to get another car and payment of up to 700. We pick a car and they did an appraisal on it and was shocked and what a rip off they were and did nothing to help. I told them that I wanted my keys back and we would go some where else. The person just kept on talking away and kept saying he is trying to help and I said that is bull and is a rip off and he started yelling at us and still no keys. I finally said I was going to report him and finally got the keys so we could leave. I found out the next day that they ran my daughters credit with out permission verbal or written. We already had approval from Nissan. I will have to file a report for illegal credit check and see what we can do against them as that is wrong, and are a rip off. I was told they are military friendly which is not true as I am a disabled veteran and my daughter was in the military. You should be ashamed having people working there like that and yelling at their customers and running credit checks without permission. Save yourself some time and shop some where else. The services were super bad. I went for an oil change and right when I got there a blond man approached me with an attitude. I told him I was there for an oil change and handed him a coupon I had. He looked at me and said "is this coupon for this car? because if it's not i'm not going to use it". He made me feel very embarrassed for using my coupon when I was initially excited to finally use it. After that they took my car in, I was expecting to wait 1 maybe 2 hours for my oil change... NOPE I waited there 4 1/2 hours. Mind you I arrived right when they opened, no cars at all. And when I kept asking about my car, the man would answer with an attitude. There was times where I would wave him down and he would turn his back and walk the other way. Very disrespectful. I wasn't even offered a water or anything. When I finally received my car back, the technician failed to review the services needed. And then when I asked for a car wash the man cut me off and replied very rudely "it's down". And when I finally got some help I waited an additional three hours just to get information back and still did not go anywhere! I feel like the service was super shady and when I would ask why they would ask me certain questions or what was taking long to give me my information I found out they were trying to put the new car under my name without telling me that Way I would be stuck for good. And when I try to get my keys and leave since they were taking forever they followed me and refused to give me my keys back I don't know who they think they are and what kind of customer service they think they are providing, by far this was the worst and I'll never come back! Sales Manager told me I could keep my versa for up to 3 months until I get my express lane ready on the sentra... A month just past and they ask me to take the versa back to the dealership, they said they never did that type of deal, and if I not turn the vehicle in they will report the car to CBP so they can stop me at the bridge. Do NOT go there for any reason. I called to have my key fixed. I have the key warranty. They said they can't fixed it or give me another one. They transferred my call to 5 different people until I got a voicemail. Please take my advise. You will be better off. read more
