The total bill ended up being $1300. No problem, this was my baby girl's first car so I said do it all. Got the car back and the new battery was dead by morning. Turns out this car had a module that will randomly turn on electrical stuff when it goes bad and it kills the battery. Took a month to get the old module rebuilt and cost $2000. But the worst part is that things that worked before now NO LONGER WORK such as the AC on/off switch. Also the back windows no longer roll down. Items that worked before bringing the car there. When I called to inquire about it, the response was "We can take a look at it". Not: 'I'm sorry that you're having issues since we've worked on your car, let me take care of that for you'. They wanted me to spend more money to get shit fixed that wasn't an issue before I brought them the car in the first place. I had already spent well over $3k getting this car "fixed" and now more stuff is broken on it, NAH, I'm not spending anymore money at this scam mechanic so that the can bleed me dry. Enough is enough. If you can, avoid this place at all costs because they will "fix" one thing and then you'll end up needing them to "fix" something else that wasn't a problem until you brought it to them. I expected I higher level of customer service after spending so much money. I was wrong. They're nothing but a bunch of SCAM ARTISTS!

We called University Auto Center first thing, Majec listened patiently and instantly said to bring the car in. When we arrived, we saw many other cars, yet Majec ran a smooth operation: relaxed, smiling workers worked at an expert, steady pace. He welcomed us warmly, expressed genuine concern for our welfare and tight schedule, and said he'd look at the car right away. He got back to us faster than expected. The problem was the compressor, and he couldn't get the part till next day. So, since I had that Albuquerque event, we figured we had to keep going sans air conditioning. Without any pressure, Majec clarified that the compressor could give out any time, stranding us on a highway in temps over 100. So, he helped us brainstorm a solution: my husband waited in El Paso for our car, I drove a rental ahead to my event, and Majec stayed on top of it all so my husband could catch up ASAP. Majec communicated well throughout, his team moved fast, and he charged much less than if we'd waited to do the work elsewhere. He also insisted we call from Denver to tell him how everything went. Three months later, it all still works great. Majec saved us from potential disaster, both in terms of safety & maybe missing my event. I tried to replace the power window motor on my Silverado by myself. Big mistake. Once I got the door apart I realized that it was a MUCH more complex job than I expected. I talked to Rick on the phone and he said, "we'll use your part and complete it for you." They did, and I was shocked when I got the bill: $95!!
