Last month we witnessed a gentleman having a serious medical emergency at a restaurant; thankfully an RN was at the next table and she came to his aid. I felt helpless and realized those few minutes waiting for EMTs to arrive are precious to the person in distress. Signing up online for class was simple. It was about $100 for the 4 hr class. Lots of convenient dates and times. I don't need a certification card so I got a small discount. The students were a mix of professionals needing certification for their jobs and citizens wanting to be prepared. The instructor Aaron stayed on track, made sure the class met the needs of different students, and has real world experience in the field. It was a mix of lecture, video demos, practice on dummies, with a lot of interaction. An obstacle for me is that I can feel self conscious when there is a practical demonstration in a class, however Aaron kept the atmosphere friendly, helpful, and gave constructive feedback so that everyone could learn. We could see, touch, and use equipment such as faceshield/pocket mask, AED, and tourniquet. I went mainly for the CPR training but also had an interest in understanding how narcan is used for opioid overdose, since it's now available over the counter. Aaron covered this topic also and distributed narcan for students who wanted one. I hope I never need to use this training and I'm SO pleased that I will know what to do if it does happen. read more

This was the BEST CPR and first aid class I've taken. Aaron the instructor was great! Super informative, professional, kind, and made the class not feel long. I appreciate the updated quality dummies and items brought into the class. The dummies have sensors on them so you know your actually doing cpr correctly. I really enjoyed getting my training at Vive CPR. Aaron's real-life experience helped enhance the course. When you hear stories about emergency situations that pertain to the skills you are learning, the lessons stick with you better. This was definitely a 5 star educational experience with Aaron. He provided a comprehensive, and easy to follow class at our outdoor location (park/courts setting) where the possibility of an emergency could occur. Our group got clear and concise verbal instruction along with practice in real time. He also helped us to come up with an accessible emergency plan specific to our setting and community needs. My husband and I and another expecting couple took Aaron's infant CPR class this last weekend. And what a relief to have that checked off the list. Being a nurse I know how important infant safety is and you can only accomplish that with the correct education. Aaron not only covered choking and CPR but all Prevention, which I thought was extremely important. He was professional but also fun! So grateful for Aaron with Vive CPR. He came and taught my daughter, my future son-in-law, my husband and myself the safety and CPR for infants in our home yesterday. The information we received was new and current from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Having my 5 months old Grandson in the room while learning was also helpful, as we were able to hold him in comparison to the weight of the dolls. We didn't practice on my Grandson, but it was very effective when we realized his weight and height difference after moving a 4 pound doll around. Everyone should take this CPR class. We learned so much and hope we never have to use it, but we are confident with the current skills and recommendations and we each could save the life of a child with the information received. Those four hours went very fast because the instructor Jason Clough made it fun and serious at the same time. We were all engaged and left with very important knowledge we should all know. I have had been taking CPR classes for 25 years, and this was by far the most informative class I've taken. The instructor, Aaron, is highly knowledgeable, very personable, and had helpful solutions to all our concerns and questions. We hosted a private baby CPR & First Aid class for a group of our parent & expecting parent friends. Aaron did a fantastic job teaching the class. The class was surprisingly fun and not overwhelming at all. Like most new parents we were nervous about what to do in case of an emergency. Aaron went over all possible scenarios and how to handle each one. Including choking. He is extremely knowledgable and has actual hands on experience from working in the field.
