The visit started by changing into a robe and slippers, now I am a fluffy guy robe's usually don't fit, but that wasn't the case here, the robe fitted perfectly. Then I was taken to a relaxation room where I got to chill and relax even before the treatment started. Being my birthday there were three of us getting pedi's, and despite the chatter between us when it came to the hot stone massage we all fell silent and drifted to an almost comatose state of bliss. I have to say having pedicures are the ultimate luxury experience for me and I've been around awhile and had a few over my time and I can say that I have never had a more luxurious pedicure in my life!! Just when I thought it couldn't get better because it was my birthday we were given a glass of champagne and chocolates. This place offers the wow factor on so many levels. If you are visiting the hotel or just want to indulge in someone for a special occasion I would highly recommend them, I know I am taking my mum in for another double pedicure session for mothers day this year!

From there it was 2.5 hours of bliss, all in one room, all with one therapist. This was definitely more of a relaxation massage, and though I mentioned it a few times, it was a little light for my liking... but at that point I was too relaxed to let it bother me. It certainly wasn't a cheap pampering session, but if you're looking to spoil someone rotten, this is definitely your place. Hydrated and velvety doesn't even begin to describe how my body felt afterward and after a beautiful tea in the lounge to round off the experience, I was ready to take over the world (perhaps right after a long nap).

I also love how it makes my skin feel. No alcohol/chemical dryness or greasy layer that I experience with cheaper chemically based products. If you're new to the product the team instore will walk you through your skin care routine and needs to make sure that you get what's right for you. As an added bonus they have little starter kits so you can try a small amount before shelling out your hard earned cash for larger quantities. This store also has a day spa which is a wonderful way to experience the products first hand. My recent visit to this store in Wintergarden was the first in 12 months (that's how long my 145ml moisturiser lasts!) and the lady serving me remembered me from my previous visit... a great memory and a great customer service experience for me. It's a tumultuous relationship and one wrong move can see you passively aggressively ignoring your former beautician and starting a fresh with someone new. I decided to put my faith in In Therapy in Brisbane's Red Hill in the hope they'd restore my trust and give me the neat and tidy brows I so longed for after a rather disastrous brow wax some two months ago. With the growing out finally done it was time to put myself back on the market, so to speak. Their service menu claimed they "specialise in fabulous brows" and I eagerly set off to see just how fabulous my brows would be. I'm greeted by my technician and ushered into a therapy room and it's not unlike any other brow waxing experience of the past 12 or more years. Before long my technician has spent some 20 minutes working her magic on my brows and when I see them in the small hand mirror she provides to me I am proud to say, "Why yes, don't you two look fabulous." Back in their trim and tidy shape I happily pay $24 for the experience. Of course, brows isn't the only treatment In Therapy offers. They are a full-service beauty salon offering massage, facials, spray tan, mani and pedis. Perhaps the best thing that my sensitive skin praised them for was their use of organic strawberry wax. There was no extremely redden skin afterwards or strange looks from onlookers as I walked back to the office. With this being my second visit to In Therapy (the previous for a file and polish of the ol' fingernails) I can say that each time I walk in I feel instantly calm and like I'm away from the hustle of city life. I can't wait to go back and try more from their service menu. The lesson: sometimes it is good to branch out, try something new. Who knows what might happen? I think I've just found a brow spot to go steady with....

Cancelling an appointment at the dentist? No problem But getting a refund in this 'clinic'. This will never happen. I had a serious skin reaction after the laser treatment, which could have led to permanent scarring. The staff refused to refund the remaining sessions, and even tried to guilt-trip me saying I did not use correctly their OPTIONAL $50 after care treatment. The 'post laser gel' is just a solution of menthol and Aloe vera btw, you can get the same at Chemist Warehouse for $4. So that's $714 down the drain for me and a trip to the GP. Yet another greedy company that will write anything they can in their ToC so you never see your money again.

These ladies are eyebrow artisans. And that's coming from someone who hates having my brows plucked…read more- for some reason, tweezing my eyebrow hairs not only makes my eyes water terribly, but it also makes me sneeze. Walking inside here is like being inside a luxe, French salon. Each customer gets to laze on chaise longue style beds (all of which are draped in burnished gold satin) and each "brow station" is separated by soft, white drapes. If I'm going to have pain inflicted upon me, then it's nice to be surrounded by luxury. I opted for the Brow Lift-Shaping treatment - I was sold when they told me it will give the appearance of an instant eyelift. First of all the Brow Artist (or Arch Angel as they are also called) looked at my face shape and features very carefully, before starting her waxing, tweezing and shaping. I had been waxing my own eyebrows for years, so they were both a bit uneven (oops) but she didn't make me feel bad, just showed me where I'd been going wrong and reshaped them both to match. Then she blended some colours together to give my brows some depth and to frame my eyes more. After years of hiding behind a long fringe, I've just had a pixie haircut so it's imperative I show my brows off to their best advantage. It did cost me $70, but it was definitely worth it to fix my home-waxing mistakes, and now my (very even) brows can proudly take centre stage.
