Called on a Thursday and Jim came out later that day and gave an estimate on a massive willow tree trunk that needed to be removed. Agreed to the price but it would be more than a week before he could get to it. I agreed to wait but I was hoping to have it done sooner. He said he would try but no guarantee. The next afternoon he called and said he could do it on Saturday but that it would be early morning. He knew I was in a hurry to have it done and I really appreciated the extra mile he took to accomodate my schedule.They arrived a little early and proceeded to get the job done in a couple of hours. I have used them to remove several dead or damaged trees in my yard. Have had 5 trees total (ranging from 40 and 80 feet tall) removed by them. They removed them all safely and quickly. I'm sorry to say I had Jim Viverito come on my property, and I'll never let him set foot again. I called for two Ash trees to be treated for emerald ash borer. Jim and "Manny" came by. At that time I asked to 'clean up the other trees'. Cut dead branches, trim. Normally, they'll have a tree climber come in and do that. No, Jim said he'd need a bucket truck. He brought it in. He cut healthy limbs in order to get this massive truck back there. During the cutting he dropped a limb, damaging the roof of my shed. He told me 'the truck's starter is shot, so I have to leave it over night, parked in my yard." The next day, miraculously, the starter fixed itself and the truck was fine. I believe the whole thing was a lie. I was charged $1000 for him spending 3 hours cutting a few limbs. He promised to come back after I got permission for access from a neighbor and do another cut. I got written permission, and now two months later, no Jim. He used to be good, but now, never again. read more

They came to remove a tree in front of our house for the city of Oak Lawn. When they came i was at work and my wife was at home with our new born daughter. The manager of the site (which wouldn't give me his name) asked her to move her car from the front of the house. She in turn said yes and asked if they could wait 10 minutes for her to pack up the baby and just leave so she didn't leave the baby at home alone. He declined and proceeded to yell at my wife saying his guys get paid by the hour and he does not have time for her s##t. She then has to leave our daughter in the house alone and park the car down the block and walk back. When she attempted to ask him for his name he hid inside the truck while his guys worked to avoid her. I called him today to ask why he treated her in such a way assuming he would apologize. He did not. He told me "your wife is lying to you". Very disrespectful. Would not recommend this guy to anyone. read more

Owner is a very rude unprofessional person. With no prior notice, Jim called at 6am wanting to start work. (We never agreed to a start date) When I told him that wasn't a convenient day he started yelling at me and called me a stupid bi*** and hung up. Definitely something wrong with him. We hired Viverito last summer (2015) to remove three ash trees and trim our maple tree. Removing the three ash trees they did a great job. They over trimmed our maple despite my request. We also contracted Viverito to remove stumps for the ash trees. The two in our front yard had some limestone around them so Jim had to stop with the removal. We agreed that I would dig out the buried limestone and clear the area and he would come back. I continued calling and following up and was unsuccessful in getting a hold of Jim despite leaving message and calling multiple times. I started reaching out in 2016 as I had paid for the stump removal and wanted the job finished. Jim would tell me he would be out and that time would pass. I followed up and offered more money and at that point I felt Jim was just playing games and wasting my time. They do an okay job. Just don't pay him until you are sure all of the work is completed. read more

I hired Jim to trim back some trees. My husband and I walked the grounds with him. Discussing in detail what he was going to do. The first tree we stopped at was a large maple. He claimed it needed to be fed and he would drill into it and give it nutrients. Then we moved to the Birch trees. He says they look great. We proceed to talk about some trimming and then the 2 trees in the front need nutrients. We agree on a price and he comes out and does the work, fine great. When i get home I notices holes in the trees in front with the "nutrients" but the maple has none. I call and ask him if he did it. He says no he was going to do the Birch trees not the maple and argues with me! He's telling me I am wrong. I confirmed with my husband it was supposed to be the maple. Bottom line i feel like we got taken advantage of and this guy cannot remember what hes quoting. Maybe he should give a written receipt. The trimming was not done either. For $1600 I feel they should have trimmed. Horrible experience read more

I just had Viverito Tree Experts come out on Sunday 10/2, after the Saturday storms and the very next day, on Monday 10/3, the huge tree branches that were falling on the roof of my house were cut back and removed. Jim was a gentleman, a true professional! The work that was done was more then I could ask for. They cleaned up after themselves, no little twigs or branches left behind. I did ask Jim to leave me a few logs for my firepit and he did. A++ Very, Very Happy with the Service. I would highly recommend. read more

Last fall this owner bid my large parcel of land and oak trees to trim and he waited until all leaves were down and missed MANY DEAD branches and failed to trim many trees as we agreed. He now won't return my phone calls and for almost 11 months I have called him weekly and bi-weekly and now he says he won't do the job because I am annoying him. I paid thousands of dollars and all trees have watersprouts and look sloppy and have many dead limbs he missed. So, now I have no recourse but to look for someone to clean up his mess......... no professionalism at all! read more

Jim and crew were wonderful. We're upgrading from a chain link fence to a Cedar fence and needed a couple trees removed to make way for the new installation.
