During my first day in Montreal, I walked by Moustache Cafe and was instantly intrigued - not for…read morethe aesthetics, but for the name. As someone who is currently sporting a 'stache, I identified with its aura. A couple days later, we were looking for some coffee - and since I could not get this place out of my mind I suggested we go here, so off we went.
Moustache Cafe is one of several coffee shops located in this area of the city. Walking in, it gave off typical coffeehouse vibes - an ordering counter with a variety of bakes on display, a mixture of seating types, and people either working, studying, or chatting while enjoying their brews. The decor is kinda bright, with splashes of color (and moustaches) throughout.
We weren't hungry, so I just decided to browse the beverage menu. The usual selections were there, and I decided to go with a cappuccino. The beverage was good - nothing too outstanding to be honest, just a good cappuccino. I did appreciate that they served it in a ceramic mug as I indicated I would be staying.
Service was good, and overall I had a great experience at Moustache Cafe. I didn't find the drinks to be out of the ordinary compared to other coffeehouses I've been to, but solid goods nonetheless. That, along with the cool aesthetics and moustaches make this a standout for me.
