Very busy and popular coffee shop in Montréal and for good reason. Unfortunately I forgot to order the drink that people recommended but the cappuccino and lemon cake/canoli was a nice option!
Great coffee and even a greater waiting line. We stopped by the café as we were strolling in the city and decided to give it a try. The place has a ton of good reviews and for a valid reason, this is a really good coffee. It's smooth and rich in texture and not too overly sweet. Is it worth the $7 price tag? Probably not, but worth the try if you're trying to enjoy the walk in the old port while on vacation. While there are a few sit down places, it was so crowded that I wouldn't recommend necessarily settling down. The service could have also been more efficient but still the staff were quite friendly. Overall recommend it if you don't mind waiting 30 minutes for a coffee :)
The original Cafe Olimpico location in Mile End does not disappoint with a cozy atmosphere and delightful food and drink. I tired the decaf latte and loved every sip.
BEST COFFEE EVER!!! The employees are so nice and welcoming, the coffees are amazing, and the tiramisu was sooo good. Definitely a cool vibe to hang out too.
Café Olimpico landed on my radar via my brother. When he visited Montreal a few years back, he visited here and had good things to say. During my own research, I also learned this was a popular spot known for their high quality Italian pastries. Since we were in Mile End and looking for some coffee and carbs, we thought it would be a good place to check out, so off we went. The café sits on a corner among several other commercial businesses; the entrance catches the eye with a hunter green awning that dons the Olympic torch and rings, as well as some outdoor seating. The inside very much gives off Italian café vibes - it's a medium-sized open area with tables scattered throughout. The production counter sits to the left where orders are placed, and televisions with different sports are projected across the perimeter. In addition to this location in Mile End, they have three other locations. We definitely wanted to get some coffee, but I didn't want to leave without browsing their bakes so I was scanning what they had. They have a good variety of coffee beverages, as well as several pastries. I ultimately decided to get a cappuccino, and we split three bakes: a pistachio cornetto, a ricotta bomboloni, and an amaretto cookie. The bakes were good. The cornetto was filled with pistachio cream which is kinda played out due to the Dubai chocolate craze - but the cornetto was nice and airy with a good filling ratio. The bombolini was also good as was the cookie - really high-quality bakes all around. Service was good, and overall I really enjoyed my experience at Café Olimpico. The coffee and pastries were good, and the vibes are on. I wouldn't hesitate to return the next time I'm in Montreal.
Quaint little coffee and pastry shop. Their cafe crema is amazing. There was a line out the door when I got there but only took ~15 minutes to get through. Service was very quick. I can imagine everything on their menu would be tasty.
Didn't even plan to go here originally, but geeked when I almost walked past it in Mile-End. Stopped in and the place was bustling with life during the grand prix weekend, a bit of a line and the dining room was full, but the environment is extremely cozy and the baristas are probably the kindest out of all the places I visited in Montreal. The coffee is also genuinely sooo good and worth the hype it gets. They had some very yum looking pastries as well. I really love the one-size coffee thing they have going on here as well. It feels like you're in Europe instead of Canada.
Super busy Cafe with both indoor and outdoor sitting. It was raining when we went so we opted for indoor sitting. It is a bit crowded but well worth it! Coffee and desserts were 5/5 would recommend! I opted for the cold drink and great strong coffee with just enough sweetness to it. The tiramisu and cannoli were both super good! A must try if in Montreal.
Yes, as you can see in other reviews, it's a landmark place to visit! My husband and I first learned about this place through one of the Youtube videos we watched on where to go in Montreal. Maybe because like NYC Montreal is very pedestrian-oriented, cafe culture here is very strong too? Although it was much tinier than I expected, it is very cozy and abuzz with customers because of its coffee and pastries. DO try the one labeled "heavenly" - There is a reason for the name! And yes, it's right there on the corner of a bustling night life area of the Old City and open late. (My hubby and I are ok with coffee/caffeine at night and have no problem falling asleep, LOL! Maybe coffee is just a soothing beverage to us, who knows?) Just thinking of this right now is putting me in a happy place... :D!
We loved this location. Convenient, right by the bagel shops. I got a delicious oat milk Cortado, and my husband got a cappuccino and a canoli. Definitely a good option in the neighborhood. They have a few other locations as well, but I liked this one. We've seen quite a longome at times, but weekdays it is better and we always wee able to find a seat. I believe street parking is paid, but you might be able to find some for free a couple of blocks away.
This place was the best coffee we had during our trip to Montreal. We read it was a must try so we had to come see for ourselves and it didn't disappoint. The line is long but it goes by fast. There's a good amount of seating indoors and a clean bathroom as well. We ordered their most popular drink the Remix and it's small but sooooo good. It's not super sweet but it is still sweet. It just had such good flavor and the staff was so friendly. They played great music in there too. Definitely a vibe
I visited MTL in January and honestly I was a little skeptical. One thing to note for any American tourists (lol) they don't do any flavored lattes. I went for an oatmilk mocha. Honestly, it was really good! Again, usually a lot of places are over-hyped but this place is legit!

Solid cafe 9/10, location is great and the staff are welcoming and polite. Iced Coffee was very good but the size of the drink was tiny for the price. The bomboloni had a nice filling of pistachio and i'm craving for more right now. The seating area outside is definitely part of the experience and i would recommend anyone to come here. read more

Good lattes in the middle of mile end. Olympic memorabilia and a cozy interior. A steady flow of people with a line from the door but service is fast and the line keeps moving. They had cookies and pastries like tiramisu and bombolones. I came here after seeing great reviews and pretty AND great drinks. That's what usually pulls you in. My iced mocha latte was good but it looks like it came from the slush dispensary (looking like a slushy machine) and oat milk was just added. Our hot latte was not served overflowing with milk foam and just looked a bit sad compared to the photos here on Yelp. But-- the drinks were good, espresso to milk ratio was good, and the place was cozy. read more

There was a bit of a line when we got here but the service was so fast that it moved quickly. The servers were super friendly and I could not be happier with my little coffee soft serve! It was so tasty with just the right amount of coffee flavor. Part of me wishes I got the larger size because it was so good but the small size was really was the right amount to enjoy it. read more

Coffee and espresso addiction satisfied. Stopped by this cafe (multiple locations I ended up going to 2), both consistently great. Coffee was perfect. I tried the Americano, double espresso, cortado, and affogato. All amazing. I wish I could have another affogato. Brought a bag of espresso beans home read more

Cool little coffee shop in the lobby of our hotel. Apparently lots of people gravitate here when hitting the Old Port. Honestly, it's worth the trip. The espresso they crank out is superb, as are the pastries. The Heavenly something or other was a a hybrid of a biscotti and meringue, soooooo good. Wanted an affogato but since it was late the gelato had been put to bed. They run out of pastries too, so if you want a goodie best to go earlier in the day. Only downside is that due to limited seating, most people get their Java to go, and there are tons of empty coffee cups littering the alley. (Please do better to-go coffee drinkers and respect this outstanding business). read more

Agree this is the best cappuccino in Montreal so far ! Milk foam is a bit sweet and the sifted chocolate make it extra special. Biscotti is fresh and the Italian tunes are dreamy. Tables turn over quickly so order at the bar and a table will be open by the time you are ready! Enjoy! read more

Omg!!! If you're not on your way to grab a latte and a mini pistachio croissant at Cafe Olimpico, why even bother going out in Montreal? Everything about this place was just the best! The service, the ambience, the vibes, the people, the service, and the food. It's not an institution for nothing! read more
Pros: -Great casual outdoor seating area -Nice service -Solid donuts! Pistachio cream donut is heavy but full of delicious pistachio cream. If I was here longer I'd try the other two varieties (looked like chocolate and cannoli). read more
Smooth espresso with milk foam warmed up to a perfect temperature that a chocolate crust forms. They also have a great coffee gelato if it is hot and you need to cool down. Lots of seating everywhere. Inside there were several people working on laptops. They also had a beautiful outdoor seating area with lots of shade and flowers. Perfect setting for writing and reading. read more

Finally checked out Café Olimpico after all these years. They're an Italian cafe that's been around since 1970. There's two other locations in town (downtown and Old Port). We dropped in on a busy Saturday afternoon (around 3:30pm) and the line was backed up to the entrance. Baristas were friendly and efficient. Golf was playing on the TV's. Plenty of seating inside but the communal benches outside is where it's at. The drink menu is up on a few boards (behind the counter) and includes all taxes. They also offer gelato and a couple cake slices. - Latte freddo ($4.50) - B subbed for oat milk ($0.50). Basically an iced coffee, slushy style. Really good kick of caffeine. Delicious. - Bitter mix ($4.50) - lemon and peach slushy. Reminded me of a slurpee but lighter, less sweet and more refreshing. Perfect on a hot summer day. Will have to come back again to CO! read more

Had an oat milk latte. Was amazing and the coffee was not bitter at all and milk had the perfect amount of foam. Not a coffee expert but can confirm, this place served me one of the most delicious lattes ever! Service was very straightforward. I noticed they don't rinse their pitchers inbetween steaming milk. Unsure if they have a system but could cause problems with food allergies/intolerances if they are mixing milks. read more
