I decided to try this place because it's near my house, not because of the reviews. I came in with no expectations, but left pleasantly surprised. The shop is located down the street from AMC & next to I Heart Yogurt. When I walked in I was overwhelmed with pink; the whole shop was decorated in that color. It's also pretty small, but there are many places to sit. I ordered an oolong milk tea, passion fruit green tea & a milk green tea all with boba. The tea surprised me, it was actually really good; it has more tea than milk in the drink, which I love. However, the pearls were hard & tiny, which is the complete opposite of what I would've wanted. I could tell they tried to make the pearls good because they had their own sweetness to them instead of being bland. Maybe if they cooked them longer they would be bigger & more chewy? I'll most likely be returning but not on a regular basis. read more

I'm so happy Vivi came to Texas! This is my favorite tapioca place when I was visiting NYC. I literally had to go everyday. Love how the drinks aren't too sweet and they offer a really unique menu or drinks. I don't see them offering any food like the other stores in NY. Hopefully that will change. My favorite drinks are the fruit aloe tea (comes with aloe vera bits) and the peach jelly tea (comes with peach jelly). Fiance likes the slushes here (especially taro). Love this boba place. So many unique flavors to pick from!! I tried the tiramisu milk tea with boba and it was delicious (Not overly sweet which I appreciate). The taro moo tea was okay. Didn't have much flavor, pretty much tasted like cold white milk. The customer service was great and the setting is very welcoming. I can't believe during my visit to Texas that there was a Vivi Bubble Tea! I just had to go inside to see how their teas compare to the ones in NYC, and to my delight, it took me right home. I got my usual taro milk tea with bubbles. I like Vivi's bubble tea because being lactose intolerant, a lot of other bubble tea places do not provide alternatives for me so I'm forced to get a plain tea, but all of the teas in Vivi are lactose free! So I'm able to enjoy milk teas! The staff in the store was very friendly and I felt very welcome. I just hate going to places where the staff are like robots that expect you to be in and out the door. The decor was very cute and featured the signature Vivi mascots. Oh no no no...This was not good. My brother and I love boba tea. I get boba tea every time I come home, because there just really isn't any in Fort Worth. After I heard that there was a boba place right by my house, I had to try it. I got the red bean matcha tea, and my brother got thai tea with boba. My brother usually gets two boba drinks from the other places. That's how much he loves boba. Here, he threw his thai tea away. That's how much he disliked it. The red bean in my red bean matcha tea was the only good part. The boba was too soft on the outside, while still hard on the inside. Both of the teas were virtually flavorless. We have been to this place twice, both times we have been to this establishment the drinks are terrible and the service is poor. I have even traded out flavors of drinks thinking okay just one bad one but nope, they are all weak and taste like milk with a weak hint of the flavor of your choice. I am a HUGE boba/ bubble tea fan and have been to many bubble tea establishments and have never tried any elsewhere that have truly disappointed me, but this place has done that. Even the macaroons are so bland and tasted like a regular cookie from a box and not worth the money period. Then to top it off while we were waiting for our drinks to finish they turned the lights out on us while we were still standing at register. So rude and unprofessional. We will never come here again, save your money and go to a true authentic boba establishment if you want true rich flavors that are worth the money. read more

This is my favorite place to get my boba from. I always love the drinks because they're made with just the right amount of sweetness and have lots of flavor. Every time I visit the shop throughout the week, this handsome, young man always makes my drinks the way I like them. After reading all of the reviews, I was really hoping that I would love this place. Boba tea is my favorite and I typically enjoy everything and every place that I try. Last night i ordered a Jasmine green tea. I asked her to use honey instead of sugar and add milk. First she said "oh if you want milk than you will just want our normal milk tea." I asked if it was Jasmine tea that was used and she assured it was. Then she refused to replace the sugar water with honey. I asked why she couldn't simply use honey instead of sugar. Her excuse ways that it's a franchise and they can't create custom drinks that aren't offered everywhere else but if I wanted to get the Jasmine honey tea with no milk, I could do that. I looked at her blankly until she finally went and asked a gentleman in the back if they could swap honey for sugar water and of course, THEY CAN! So I waited what felt like an unusual amount of time for boba, but no worries. The tea....I was not impressed. I really wanted to be because this place is so close to my house, but it just wasn't good. The tea did not have any hint of Jasmine. I'm not positive, but I don't think the girl behind the counter knew what she was talking about when it comes to the milk tea being Jasmine. If she was right, then the Jasmine tea tastes like nothing. It was way over sweetened which is crazy considering honey usually just gives tea a slight sweet flavor that is so enjoyable. The worst part, the bubbles were HOT, physically hot. This made the entire drink warm and didn't allow the ice to do its job. They were really chewy and hard in the center. The teas are way over priced for what you get. I won't be back. I will stick with driving all the way to Tasty Cup in Plano. They know how to make a Jasmine Green Milk Tea with perfect bubbles. Even Fat Straws does a better job. Vivi could learn a thing or two. Side note, the girl behind the counter handed little red envelopes to every customer except me. I'm sure she was angry that I called her out, but I also taught her something new. The Blue Galaxy is pretty good. Better for pictures though haha honestly I think they put too much boba in for me, unless it's the size and shape of the cups. If so, they should design a better cup so that the boba doesn't bunch up and that's the only thing you're sucking up with your straw lol plus it looked like it filled almost 1/3 of my cup, so less of the actual drink. I went to this place because I heard of its high reputation in New York. I ordered the usual Thai Tea. The first slip.... I had the face of regret and remorse. It left a bad after taste in my mouth. It was very watery. The boba was inconsistent and bland. For some reason the music was turned to the maximum on the speaker system. I would've left if wasn't for my curiosity didn't get the best of me The other patrons had problems hearing there order numbers. The employees had to get out of their work station to hand me the drink since it was ear-piercing in the shop. Despite the utter disappointment of the drinks... The employees greeted me with a warm smile. The service was professional and very friendly. That's the only reason why I'm awarding this establishment two stars. Their thai tea is too sweet, make sure to ask for no sugar (its pre-sweetened). If I wanted a milkshake I would go to Starbucks. Their Matcha Green Tea is 8/10 if no sugar. Ask for a sample, then elevate the sugar if too bitter. Personally I like to taste tea. read more

I came here on grand opening night with my friend to see how well this boba place would be. We came in and was instantly impressed with the set up! The place was fun and modern, with lots of colorful lights and different seating options (high chairs!!!). We loved it. However, I give this place 3 stars because of their drinks. My friend got the chocoberry and cookie drink while I got the taro slush. My friend's drink was very bitter. The drink was so watery and had no chocolate taste whatsoever. She told me she could detect a faint taste of milk and when she did get to a cookie, all she could taste was a burst of awkward flavors that didn't mix well together. With my taro slush, I was very disappointed. I understand that it's a slush, but most of my sips were just ice and no distinct taro flavor. I am shocked at the bad reviews here. I come here at least once a week, and it's wonderful. I've had bubble tea elsewhere, and this place makes it right. The only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars is the Americans they hire are obviously just there for a paycheck, so they don't care. The people who run the place make sure your slush is well blended; the Americans leave huge chunks of ice that won't even fit in the straw. Otherwise, they are always friendly when we come in, and I am addicted to their tiramisu slush with bubbles. Even my picky, autistic son asks to go there. They also have a variety of games -- Blokus, Uno, and Pandemic to name a few -- that you can play while you wait and/or enjoy your drink. I have a suggestion: bring in Manjuu buns! read more

The woman working the register was rude, abrupt, and impatient, the kind that makes you really want to walk away if not hopeful that the drinks will be so mind blowing, you willingly suffer the bad service. We ordered a 3q bubble tea and tiramisu bubble tea. 3q was OK, nothing really stood out but the tiramisu bubble tea was awful, tasted really artificial and left a weird after taste.
