And no, I don't need anymore scarves but OMG!, they are so beautiful and yes, I wore it the next day. Hey, this is perfect pashmina weather. I went to Vivid Boutique because I had a necklace with a broken clasp and wanted a trustworthy place to get it fixed. Seeing the reviews for this place and knowing that they handmake some stuff, I thought it would be a suitable place! The man inside was super friendly and said that he could fix my necklace himself. It only cost $5 to get the clasp fixed, and he even reinforced the loop with a "double jumper ring." I was super pleased :) The boutique overall is really cute with tons of things! Earrings, necklaces, purses, cards, aprons, scarves, candles... they have all the decadent treats that any girl would love! I highly recommend this place, if it's for a simple gift or for your jewelry repairs. read more

Stopped here about 4:45 on 12/22/21 and sign on the door said someone would be right back. I waited 15 minutes and no luck. Went to another place and then came back 25 minutes later. Two women are standing out front and the sign is still on the door. I told them the sign had been there at least 40 minutes so all three of us left. It might be a good place to find gifts but it has to be open first. I can see closing for 10-15 minutes to run to the bank, but 40 minutes (at least) 3 days before Christmas? Get your act together. read more

Not to be pretentious (ok, maybe a little bit ;) ) but I'm born and breed in NYC and work/live very often in Europe so I"ve seen my fair share of cute, hip, vintage-couture boutiques with Euro flair. I came to Decatur Square looking for more of that and found it exactly in Vivid Boutique but without the crazy tag prices found in many other places in Decatur Sq or otherwise. I was greeted with a smile and a "Hello, welcome" by the storekeeper who gave me a coupon for spening $35 or more, I'll get a free pair of earrings. I expected the same ol' cheapie freebie stuff like most other places but was so plesantly surprised when I saw what was offered - handmade, simply beautiful, sterling silver pieces. I fell in love with one pair right away - "freshwater pearl and handmade Czech pressed glass" written on the back. It was almost too good to be true because the prices was only a mere 10 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I snatched those up right away. Although I only left with the earrings, there was so much many [moderately priced] items I wanted (e.g. stationary, the $1 egg candles, $8 fleur-de-lis metal hangers by the register) but I really can't fit anything else in my carry-on to bring back home. Next time I come back to ATL, Vivid Boutique will most definitely be my first stop and I'll be coming with an empty suitcase. I can only hope that the prices won't be raised anytime soon... read more

I stopped in here while I was killing time before my hair appointment. I hadn't noticed it before because I'm rarely on that side of the square. The prices were remarkably affordable for the location and the size of the shop. They had a ton of cute frilly aprons. I need a cute frilly apron like a fish needs a bicycle, but it didn't stop me from eyeing them. I ended up getting a small candle that smells exactly like the lavender eye pillows at Decatur Yoga. Coincidence? Either way, said candle is now delightfully scenting my room. They only accept cash for transactions under $10. The candle came to $4.40 (on sale!) and I only had $4.25. The woman working forgave the difference. Who does that in this society? Really? I was incredibly impressed. I'll definitely consider this place if I'm looking for a gift that's a little out of the ordinary, but still affordable. The items in there looked a lot more expensive than they actually were. They didn't have any jewelry out but she said some would be coming in soon. Just another reason to go back. read more

I picked up a few Christmas Gifts last weekend for my family: monogrammed purse holders that rest on the table so you don't have to leave your purse on the floor when eating out. Cool. Then I noticed the cutest bluebird necklace that I pointed out to my hubby. I hope he got the hint! They also have a variety of custom-made items: soaps, jewelry, drawer pulls, scarves, journals, etc. The space is super-crowded but worth the visit! read more

This adorable little shop is so much fun. There are a million little things to look at: jewelry, cards, knick-knacks... just so many things. All of the jewelry is hand made by the owner - who, by the way, is just the sweetest, nicest lady you could ever talk to! She's so creative and funny. I bought a purse here last year -- handmade by her. Vegan leather, biodegradable, eco-friendly, and did I mention -- totally stunning and still holds up nicely under the incredible wear and tear I put on all of my purses. I haven't had the time (or money) to go back recently, seeing as I would want to own everything here. But it's a wonderful place to find any kind of gift you may be looking for: mother's day, birthdays, teacher's end of the year gift, your fav yelper... hint hint. ;) Definitely worth a stop by. I love Vivid Boutique!! It's more posh than most of the downtown Decatur shops. Those stores tend to have a boho feel, while this store has more of a chic, eclectic vibe. I got the cutest notecards & envelopes here. The notecards say "Greetings from our villa on the French Riviera". I will definitely visit Vivid the next time I'm in the square :) read more

Vivid is a snappy little boutique nestled in downtown Decatur, GA. I made the rounds thru the downtown shops at Christmas and this was one of my favorites. From cards, to candles, to unique jewelry, it has the perfect gift for someone somewhere in their store. The ladies are really sweet and girl that does the jewelery is a gem...no pun intended, really. I picked up a couple of cute necklaces for Christmas gifts and a couple of unique cards ( my fav being "This could use a little dash of evil") and left a happy customer looking to come back again. Christina is the owner of this place, which used to be named Jewel Couture and was on Clairemont and Ponce. I love, LOVE this place! Her jewelry is so beautiful and so reasonably priced. Also, she will do custom jewelry, including bridal jewelry and bridesmaids gifts. In this new location (next to Starbucks in the Square) she has lots of nice soaps, candles, cute cards and books, and purses. Only thing to note is that all of her pieces are done in silver tones. read more

I was in Decatur because I wanted to try Leon's and I got there a little early so decided to walk through some of the shops on the square. I'm so glad I did, this is such a cute little store! I am not a fan of all of the scented stuff because of my allergies, but there were tons of really unique things in there, especially things that would make great little thank you gifts. The owner was so friendly without being pushy or overwhelming. I especially liked the kids section in the back room. I found a great little birthday present, a grow your own cactus kit, for a little girl who loves to "garden". I will definitely be going back because I have my eye on the cute rooster silkscreened on a little canvas as I seem to be collecting birds now. read more

What a great Decatur shop! This store has great affordable gifts including aprons, coasters, monogrammed items, vegan purses and sterling jewelry and soaps. I stopped in yesterday and was able to get perfect bridesmaid gifts at an extremely reasonable price. The gentleman working was so sweet and gave me tons of tissue and gift bags. I've only bought one real thing from this place, but it's super cute shop and fun place to browse. The item I bought were a pair of blue topaz earrings, supposedly handmade by the owner. I wore those earrings on my wedding day :) Good memories. read more

Every item in the shop seems to be specially selected, hand crafted and unique. When I told the clerk that it was my birthday he gave me a little gift. It is my go to place for beautifully hand crafted gifts by locals as well as an array of other gift ideas. The store is constantly evolving which keeps things fresh. I love this place, I've bought a few things from them for my office studio. Some really nice stone coasters with words of wisdom written on them and some creepy crawly stuff for Halloween! i really loved this store. the items they sell are perfectly curated and the staff is very helpful. if you need a gift for someone or yourself this is the place for sure. they had really great aprons and small candle type things. loved the cards in the back and the various prints they had around the store. i got a really great one of apples for under $30. they also had a whole catalogue of vintage inspired wood posters that you could order and customize. that's probably the best thing in the whole store--you may miss unless you check out their little back room. read more
