Vector security blames cell phone service and cell tower service blames vector security. We are moving and I do not want to leave this problem for the next residents. I have been trying for a week now to cancel this service. You cannot cancel on line, I have spent hours on hold, I have had calls dropped. In the interim these false alarms have sky rocketed. This alarm system is an outright harassment service for us as senior citizens. WE have spent hours on this issue. My husband disconnected the system entirely so now we are receiving phone calls and they are calling my back up numbers.

We were told by Sales, that there would be no problem cancelling our service after 1 year. But, when the time came after 2 years to cancel, we were still charged over $600 to cancel our service. I originally had American Alarm and Audio in Milton Florida install a security system in my new…read morehome in 2004. This company was bought out by Red wire based out of Tallahassee Florida. I updated the system for access to open the garage doors and front door, turn the system off etc. I am not sure when this took place. I have no problem with the system it's self. I reached out to them when i decided to put my home on the market, they did inform me that a 30 day notice need to be sent to turn off the system. I put my house on the market the Thursday before Thanksgiving, received an offer on Friday and closed on the 10 of December. I did not anticipate this quick of a turnaround, especially since it was the holiday's. They kept the 83.00 and said that I should get around 20.00 or so refund. That is just not right. Having a security system for 20 years and am penalized because i did not give them a complete 30 day notice. I will never recommend Red wire security system to anyone in the US. Especially in Tallahassee Florida, the accounting department of red wire only care about money, I had this terrible experience on the 16th of December.

I'm writing this because we are unable to get a response from any employee at Redwire. We are new…read morebusiness owners and have been ignored by the Tallahassee branch and shifted to collections. for $372. 3 days after they sent us a notice of a bill we were contacted by a collection company threatening to sue us if we didn't pay $4500! (Yes we owed a balance and paid late but we paid it in full) We have not had a working system in months and last call a repair guy showed up and didn't resolve the "door sensor". Our alarm triggers during working hours and continues to trip every 10 min after it has been disarmed. We offer spa treatments and have been completely embarrassed when this happens and have had countless complaints from our clients as their services have been disrupted. We stopped using the system due to the faulty alarm and just due to the hassle of it. They are trying to sue us for the cost of service for the next 5 years. We paid our outstanding bill of $370 in full and are being harassed daily by their aggressive collector. For the record we have not received one call from them prior to this and only one final notice bill in the mail which was last week after they sent us to this collection company. If I treated a client like that I'd be out of business.

UPDATE (one day later)...I was contacted by ADT after filing a compliant with BBB. They are no…read morelonger over charging us, rather they apologized and were willing to accept $244.35 (less than the 75% of our remaining balance) as a final early cancellation fee. I am grateful for the phone call but wish it had not been needed and that we could have cancelled this easily through the representative that we spoke with as a customer calling a service provider. I am happy though with the resolution and cancellation of services.
