"We are not going to use a needle to numb you, we are going to use a gel to numb your gums" WHAT???? Was I hearing correctly??? A short time later I realized I had heard correctly as he administered the numbing agent. Jose was great. He even gave me his blue balls to squeeze.....his blue stress balls that is. After researching several offices, I decided to give Gables Family Dentist a try, and I am so glad I did. From my first phone call, the staff was professional, welcoming, and pleasant. They made the scheduling process easy and continued to provide excellent customer service when I arrived for my appointment. The office has parking in a garage, which can be a little tricky to find the first time, but there is plenty of garage parking as well as street parking nearby. I was greeted immediately, the wait was minimal, and the office was exceptionally clean with a comfortable reception area. My dental hygienist, Polo, was outstanding. He was thorough, thoughtful, professional, and took the time to explain everything. The office uses modern technology, including digital X-rays taken right at the chair with the images displayed on a monitor so you can see everything in real time and ensure they are accurate. It takes a lot for me to write a review for a dental office, but this experience exceeded my expectations. From the friendly front office staff to the exceptional care provided by Polo, every part of my visit was positive. In just one session she fixed my crown, which I had installed elsewhere but was unable to travel there. I talked to over 10-15 other clinics and the doctors either said it couldn't be fixed (even though it was a small chip) or they only wanted to replace it and wanted $1500 or so. At the right price, Dr. Rita Dargham fixed everything for me. Then she gave me some professional advice and recommended what else I might need to do. I didn't feel there was an attempt to force services, and I really liked that. I will definitely return to her in the future and recommend her. She is a professional, very open and pleasant person. I haven't had such pleasure working with any doctor in a long time as I did with her.
