First off, I downloaded this app just to leave a review because it was that bad. If there was a way to leave no stars, I would. From the second we walked in there, the service was awful. Me and my family came in to get four pedicures before 12, we walked in at 11:12. They got us done in time BUT, huffed and puffed the ENTIRE time. They asked if we wanted to sit together and I said yes, then tried to split us up. I'm pretty sure that she didn't even do half of the things she was supposed to do. My lady was ROUGH, my sisters lady BUSTED her blister with the clippers and then started peeling the skin off?? Was talking about my sisters feet, and tried to argue with me about some of the colors.. the SAME colors and brand I have back home. On the way out, a lady yelled at me to get out of her way and then THE SAME LADY stepped on my other sisters big toe and ruined the paint. Then said "well you should have moved"... I mean really. I will never come back here again. I went for a gel mani pedi and during my manicure she was cutting my cuticles and she was barbaric to say the least she took out a CHUNK of my finger! I started to bleed but not like a dot of blood no, a was bleeding so much it was dripping. She did not even apologize she said "oh that wasn't even a big deal, not even to have been bleeding like that." I told her it hurt a lot when she did it. No apology. The only reason they get 3 stars and not more is because it not consistent. Sometimes some of the girls are fast and other times they take long because they're gossiping. I have been to this place twice and both times I walked out with 2 or 3 nails infected. After 3 days, my nail is still red and puffy. Not gentle manicurists at all. She said I had thin skin which is why it's bleeding, but if she sees I have thin skin, why doesn't she take more care? I gave it a second try, but not going back again. I went here for the first time today and I have to say, I wasn't all too impressed. Here's a summary of my visit: The GOOD: -No appointments....they only take walk-ins, YAY! -I was in the pedicure chair within 5 minutes of walking in. -Nice massage chairs. -Good prices. On Mon, Tues and Wed you can get a mani-pedi combo for $30! -The place is in the plaza with CVS....ample and free parking! The BAD: -Not a huge selection of polish colors....some OPI, some Essie, but none of the latest colors. -My nail tech didn't speak English, not one bit. -The nail techs yapped loudly to one another throughout my entire visit. "Oye.....mami!" A little too much Cuban gossip talk for me. -My nail tech repeatedly stopped working on my fingers/toes in order to have conversations with other people. You wouldn't want clients to put a damper on social hour!!! -Several of the nail techs talked on their cell phone or texted while working on clients. Mine repeatedly stopped what she was doing to text. WTF?! ....and the UGLY: -My nail tech was so rough on my cuticles that she caused two to bleed (one finger, one toe). We had to put pressure on my finger for quite a while to stop the bleeding. She had cut open nearly the entire nail bed. The entire cuticle removal process was painful (which hadn't happened during other manicures). I will give this place a second chance (it's super convenient!), but when I go again I will request one of the Asian nail techs. The majority of staff is attentive... to the banter between themselves. This is a pretty big negative for two reasons: 1) On the day I was there staff were bad-mouthing previous days' clients who had complained about poor service AND attributed the complaining nature to the customers' ethnicity (NOT cool); and, 2) Staff are handling sharp instruments that I think would require more concentration than talking, no? I was assigned a random technician as I walked-in without an appointment. On the day of my visit, my technician buffed my cuticles with a vengeance that the skin on one got "raw" (I let that go, it happens). Then, while chatting with another technician about her previous day customer who had complained, she cut me. Isn't it ironic? Unfortunately for me, it was on a day I had taken aspirin (FML!!!). I left without finishing my pedicure. (Update: Ten days later I am on meds for Paronychia. FML.) If you need a polish change only and don't mind mean spirited chatter OR if you know of a more skilled/professional technician working here, then this place may be OK for you. I am quite disappointed with this place. I went on Saturday and I have to say I have definitely had better - starting with their choice of nail polish. I arrived on Saturday, looking for a quiet place to zip in and zip out. Reading that this was an Asian place I figured the nail tech wouldn't be talking to me much (I didn't read the reviews stating that it was mostly Hispanic women working there). Fair enough, at least the lady taking care of me was nice, but I could have done without all the convo and MJ stories. Moving along, the lady that took care of me did a good job on both my feet and hands, and was quick... so why am i giving this place only two stars? Because, I had my nails done on Saturday, and by Sunday night, the beautiful french manicure I'd paid $47 for had turned yellow! seriously yellow - and I had done absolutely nothing all day other than wash my hands that could have possibly damaged the color. Telling me that the nail polish they use is of such low quality it explains why there were so many ladies there week after week getting their color updated. In all honesty, I get my wax at a place that only uses Essie nail polishes and for french mani/pedi charges $37 - this place of course is by apt. only, where VN is walk-ins only. The owner Lee and his wife Lily are just the most beautiful people you may have the pleasure or meeting. I've been a loyal customer for years here. I finally found my new go-to nail place. I loved that i didnt need an appt., I went expecting to have to wait, (Wednesday at 5:30pm) and was seated on the spa chair in less than a minute. My technician was friendly and did a great job on both my mani & pedi. They had an assortment of colors, the salon is very clean, and the prices are decent ($30 for mani and pedi). I tried VN Nails today for the first time and I'm quite disappointed with my nails, however it's not the worst I've ever had either. Their polish selection is not great, a few OPI & Essie colors but a lot of the same colors in different hues. I did not have an appointment so waited about 20 minutes before someone got started on my acrylic fill in. The man who did my nails was friendly, but I had to ask him repeatedly to redo parts of my fill (reshape, clean up my cuticles, etc). Even after asking him to go back over and fix them I still wasn't pleased with the outcome, left with polish on my cuticles and uneven nails. I ended up spending 30 minutes at home filing them myself. My index nail fill already peeled halfway off. Also, he forgot to put on top coat. VN nails is a little neighborhood nail spot, and it's a great bargain. This is not a luxurious, overpriced spa experience. There are no appointments, you come in and write your name on the clipboard - first come, first serve. There are so many nail techs working that the wait is never too long. But the experience depends entirely on which nail technician you get. Experience #1: my tech seemed to be new. She kept asking other people to help her fix mistakes, didn't know where to find cotton balls or remover, and had an attitude like she didn't want to be there. She was very sloppy and haphazard with all of it... she kept looking away at her friends and talking to people WHILE trimming, filling, buffing, and cutting my cuticles. So of course, my nails were uneven and the cuticles were butchered. I don't mean they were slightly red, I mean she actually drew blood on several fingers. On my thumb it was a huge, painful gash. And she never apologized for hurting me, just kept chomping her gum and tried to stop the bleeding like I wouldn't notice. And because the cuticles were terrible (even the ones that weren't bleeding were rough and jagged...they looked like ruffles potato chips!) the manicure and pedicure were just awful. My nails and toes look better when I do them myself at home. Experience #2: I explained to the manager what happened and he made sure I got an better tech. Her name was Barbara and she was awesome. I've been here a couple of times, seems to remind me why I don't use it as a go to nail salon. After working late I called and asked 30 minutes before closing time if they were still taking clients (I had a trip the day after) the lady said if I made it before closing time they would take me... "GREAT" I made it at 8:10.... Upon arrival I signup on the waiting list and sat to wait around 20 minutes.. I realized it was about 9 now and sitting there all I can hear is the technicians bad mouthing about staying late one lady even pointed at the waiting area and Said in Spanish "what do these people think it's 3pm" while other clients laugh talk about completely unprofessional... I get it, it's late you want to go home... If you boss " who is very nice" wants to take more clients and your not happy with it find another job... Most of these women have been their for years.... Once attended the lady was very kind... Whatever, I sat down and my manicure began she made small talk and complimented my color choice... This is where it becomes unpleasant... We all do it use are phones while working... But not for a full on text conversation while we are with a client, she constantly stopped to texted back even nipping me while in the process (I literally felt annoying pain all night thanks lady) she then looked at me and said I'm trying to do this really quick, I smiled and stayed silent... To add On I did not see her pick sanitized tools and I had to stop her from using a brush around my cut that was placed in sealed container. Can't say my nails look bad besides the nipped finger they look decent, my toes look pretty good just the process was not enjoyable, which is part of getting your nails done. As I visit regularly to get my nails done, I know the staff well. They are very polite, have an excellent selection of nail polishes (Essie), and overall offer a very friendly environment. I used to go to this salon years ago but until the nail tech I went to there ended up leaving. I decided back in June/July 2022 to go back because my nail lady moved her business too far from me. The tech I got was wonderful and I went consistently to her for about 4-5 months until I tried to get an appt to see her and she would not respond. I ended up going and asking for her and she said she had someone else. The girl they gave me, Dani, was awful from beginning to end. The previous tech never charged me for hard gel and I assumed it was included and I can't do my nails without it because I've always had soft nails and I work in healthcare so they don't last otherwise. I told Dani that I needed the hard gel and after some back and forth saying she doesn't do that she said agreed to do it. She soaked my nails and did my pedi (which didn't end up lasting) When she took my old gel off, she said she refused again to do the hard gel. I asked if I could get someone that will do it and another girl lent her the bottle. She had an attitude. The gel wasn't curing correctly with the horrible UV lamp she was using and ended up blaming me saying I didn't know how to put my hand inside. Someone else lent her a lamp and it ended up curing correctly but she still blamed me for the mistakes. I had a cut on my hand that was closed and she ended up squeezing it painfully with a cotton ball soaked in acetone and reopened the cut for no reason. Then she was charging me $20 more than I've ever paid there. When I spoke up they asked nail tech I had always gone to and she lied saying that's what she always charges me which isn't true. I even looked at my bank account to verify. 4 other ladies ganged up all going off on me about the price so I paid the $20 more and left. Don't think I'll ever go back after that. read more

This is my favorite place for mani/pedis. After trying multiple places this is the one i liked. Till now do no have a favorite Technician so every time I walk in someone different does my nail. To this date no one disappoints me. Even on slow days the place is always busy, but you don't wait. I personally try Monday, Tuesday or Wednesdays. After that you will wait and I'd you have a favorite technician may be a longer wait. They always get the sanitized instruments from a closed package. All the mani/pedi staff is Hispanic,very warm,friendly and chatty. They work reasonably fast and in detail. I've been going to this place for many years but lately they have gone down hill. Today just verified why I am no longer going to go. My nail technician went a little cuticle cutting crazy and cut 5 of my fingers to the point that they bled. One finger didn't stop bleeding and she had to ask another technician for a liquid in which she calls "911" (which stung like all hell). Now onto my nails... I receive a gel manicure and she missed the sides of my nails on some of them and left nail polish on some of my fingers underneath the nail.
